    So I have been a fan of Nirvana ever since my older brother bought Nevermind. I am stoked to hear that they have been inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame, and after their first years nomination no less. If you are a fellow fan, post your Nirvana memories, your favorite song by them, or anything else you would like to add. Even if you aren't a fan, you can still post anything about the band, even if its negative.

    I'm not the biggest Nirvana fan, but I do like some of their songs. In Bloom is probably my favorite and I listen to it pretty regularly. But yeah, even if you're not the biggest fan, you really can't argue about how good these guys were and about the impact they've had on music and in the lives of many people outside of music, hence their quick induction.

    On a side note, surprised Kiss only just got in.

    In Utero is absolutely my favorite album of theirs. and I don't really care that they've been inducted to the Rock Hall really. I've been there a few times and it's a nice place but being inducted isn't like all that much of an accomplishment. Kiss thrived on image alone and made maybe one good song (Detroit Rock City) and they're in the same induction class as Nirvana, who absolutely morphed the mainstream to lean towards alternative as well and pretty much destroyed hair metal (and were overall a much much more important group than Kiss in the long run). I'm rambling. ;_;

    I'm not really a fan, but I don't hate them either. Some songs are cool, but in general it's not really my cup of tea. The thing that annoy me the most are probably the people who aren't fans or don't listen to rock, grunge, metal or anything within this genre, are totally losing it when 'Smells like a teen spirit' is played. Those people really destroyed some bands for me. Stupid posers ..

    But Dave Grohl is a awesome drummer and Cobain .. yeah, he was an icon in the 90's. Great the get recognized by the RnR HOF.

    I do like Nirvana, I'm not too bothered about the induction itself as maccrash said though it is a nice accomplishment. My favourite album personally (and obviously it isn't a studio album so some of you might not count it) is their MTV Unplugged album, while obviously it didn't represent the real sound of the band, most of the renditions of songs on there are better than the originals and the covers were chosen perfectly. I do like the three studio albums, but all of them aren't up there like MTV Unplugged which is probably one of my all time favourite albums. My favourite song by them is About A Girl and I don't have a particular preference between the original version from Bleach or the unplugged version.

    I haven't seen the induction yet (I think I might watch some of it now if it's available anywhere actually), but I'm not too sure about the singers chosen to perform in Kurt's place at the ceremony. Michael Stipe seems very fitting to induct them though.

    I'm just a little bit disappointed that Dave and Krist didn't just boycott this. The RnRHOF is an icon of mediocrity, and I know Nirvana have never been incredibly outspoken regarding things like that, but a part of me always hoped they'd reject it.

    I hope they had a fun time playing the songs at least.

    I love Nirvana btw. All of their albums, everything about them.

    I was listening to an interview of David and Krist on SiriusXM, and they are stoked to be inducted into the RnR HoF. And also, Kiss has been nominated for years, while Nirvana got inducted in their first year of nomination.
