    [PokeCommunity.com] Nisekoi:
Nisekoi: (ニセコイ: ) (Nisekoi Season 2)

    Introduction
Our "Once hit" romantic school harem comedy anime "Nisekoi" returned in this Spring with the arrival of season 2. It begun on April 10, and continued till Jun 26 with an ephemeral life span, only 12 episodes. We were actually expecting more than 20 (At least i was xD)

    Summary
The Romantc Comedy gives the nostalgia of the first season, Our charming Chitoge seemed to have found a kind of charm in Raku's heart. Chitoge seems to be excited and is seen wondering about her new found feelings for her so called boyfriend Raku. Even though both of them continued their "Fake" Relationship due to the fight of both of the gangs, our beautiful Chitoge has to go through little so nothing while trying to figure out about her new found feelings, Is it love ? or not? the question goes on as Raku still hopes to find the mysterious girl he met when he was just a child, the thrill is to be continued in another season as we hope to!

    Review
As of i'd say, the series failed to live up to my expectations. After the enhancing series Nisekoi, I was expecting a season 2 that should have ascended further into the skies. It was bequeathed funny scenes, and some romantic moments indeed but still, in my gaze, the series failed to live up on its name. The romantic scene's, were for instance, way too ephemeral. We didn't had the glance of sheer audacity of love by Raku (Deeming his character, and how he can't express his love, it seemed legit from the beginning to be honest). It was kind of a gloom to have a low performance from a good series. But yes, the comedy wasn't hilarious, yet it was good. The romantic scenes wasn't so satisfactory but good. And everything else, from the appearance of Haru Onodera to the ending scene, everything was "average" and wasn't really boring. The most awful thing was, the ending. I was expecting a better ending in the end. It really failed to live up as much as Nisekoi seaon 1 did. But still i don't hate the series, nor do i have the intention to hurt anyone. ;)

You're slightly late with the creation of the thread kek.

But here goes - It was exactly as I expected it to be. The manga, for a good amount of time, had a lot of chapters which kept things at a standstill. The central "plot" didn't move along much and it was merely being a cutesy SoL-ish series instead. And, to be frank, with the amount of fun I was having with the material, I didn't mind much. In fact, if I recall correctly, second season had some of the best Nisekoi material I can remember - It had the Mom arc, right? Where we meet Kirisaki's mom for the first time, yknow? I loved that arc. And the rest of the stuff was also good enough for me. Hoping for a conclusive ending or something that'd chug the plot along when the original source material (the manga) was going through a SoL phase is slightly unrealistic.

As a result, the series was exactly what I expected it to be. :p The manga's recently started to come together in terms of central plot, though. There are real plot developments and Raku's had to face some real decisions. And now it is down to very few candidates (one we always knew would end up being the last ones lol). I'm a fan of the recent developments in the manga. Which they'll cover up nicely in Season 3 if it happens. Or fourth, depending on the amount of content they'll have to adapt before getting to the "conclusive" parts.

Either way, not a super amazing series but one I definitely enjoy watching a lot.

Well I think the thing here was that they didn't really have a climactic place to end things. There just wasn't anything close to that that would have been either worth starting or would have worked as an ending. Nice that they remembered that Chitoge was a character, though. At least that much reminded me of the first ending, though with Chitoge and Raku's situations being reversed.

But yeah, this season was basically "introduce some background characters, make Tachibana feel even more **** about not being a legitimate choice, introduce better Onodera and then finish her Social Link so you can faze her into the background, and also give Chitoge five minutes of screentime for the sake of character plot progression (same could be said for Tsugumi, but with even less time). Mahou Shoujo." I suppose that seems worse than it is but that's basically what it was. Which, really, is what I expected.

Nisekoi's not bad, but at the same time it's nothing great, and that's basically what I take it as. It's a SHAFTy okay harem with some nice-asses designs, so there aren't really many expectations for them to meet for me. On the bright side, this means that they always meet my expectations.

The opening was fun as hell, though. I don't know if I'd musically put it up there with Click, but as an opening I definitely think it's the best of the three.

The opening was indeed chucklesome, also for humanity's sake Chitoge was introduced as a character, the ending being the opposite of the first. But still, being an anime watcher, instead of manga reader, we had higher expectations. But Omg, The OVA's are really xD echhi..

Ecchi OVAs?! Why haven't I seen them yet?! Should do so as soon as possible lol

Lol you should, The ecchiness is way over the heels ! Check all 3 OVA's, They can, or may, change your perception and concept over the behavior and manners of our Onodera Kosaki. She reveals her inner self when drunk haha.

Wait, did I miss one? I was under the impression that there were only two.

Well I quite liked the 1/10th of a second where we saw psycho pervert Onodera in one of the OVAs, so I know I'd enjoy drunk Onodera. She's a fun character to mess around with. The main show doesn't do it nearly enough. Well, except that one time that she was a magical girl, but that was just Shaft being Shaft.

But yeah, definitely Dero. Watch the OVAs. They're fun.

There are total 3 OVA's for the whole series. And yes, Onodera getting psyched up was really out of the blue. But hey, i still can't figure it out if they "did" it in the end of the OVA, Because we could see them whispering "Let's forget what happened".

I enjoyed the second season more than the first, not sure why but I just had an overall better time with it. Maybe it being shorter helped its case. I guess I can slowly read the manga now if I feel the need.

My friend, everyone has their own tastes !

The ephemeral life span may have made it easier for you to watch it and complete it without the hindrance of "Boredom", and the reason is quite acceptable i accept, but still i found season 1 much more interesting, deeming how it showed a little or less character development and how they made the ending, Season 1 had the romance of ChitogeXRaku and also OnoderaXRaku in the end, not to mention it was delightful and artistic. I actually felt like seeing a really romantic series while finishing Nisekoi Season 1, Because in my gaze, romance genre is not incomplete or irreparable with the lack of Kissing, and Hugging.

I think people who don't enjoy Nisekoi should just drop it. The series is basically a generic romcom that you can enjoy only if you like the style, otherwise it will be a waste of time (and a pain in the ass, probably).

Me? I love it lol, it's the perfect dosis of romcom I need in my life.

    Onodera imoutos best.
    Kosaki best girl.

Chitoge best girl. You already know that, just a reminder (!!!)

    Nope, I don't really hear that :P

    You better go watch Baccano!

God, the manga's been going almost way too fast lately XD; But I guess it has been gearing for an ending soon so it makes sense.

I haven't read the spoiler of course, but is the manga ending anytime soon or does it seem to be reaching a conclusion? I'm really interested in reading, just not in the mood for doing it weekly if it will take longer than two years lol

Umm, you could say it is VERY close to the end. I mean, he can still stretch it out if he wants - the author, I mean - but it'd be VERY difficult to do so after chapter 199.

To say it without actually spoiling stuff - it lays rest to one of the biggest questions/conflicts that has led to all these wars online lmao. So it is safe to say that yes, it is very close to the end.
Unless some asspull occurs and things reset or something.

Oh, and they're in their third year already if I'm not wrong (of their "fake" relationship). I can't say that for certain though - don't remember that bit clearly. But yeah. :p
