For Alder I was thinking of just morphing him with Ghetsis and you get something like this:

Elektross- Good movepool and no weaknesses makes it an ideal set up pokemon.
Thunderbolt
Brick break
toxic
dragon tail
Seismitoad- Has wonderful coverage except for grass.
Earthquake
surf
Sludge wave
Drain punch
(this one was actualy kind of difficult to find a good strategy)
Bouffalant (sap sipper)- Can switch in for seismitoad to get a free boost.
Head charge
Wild change
Payback
Revenge
Cofagrigus- Does a wonderful job at covering against fighting types in this team.
Shadow ball
Psychic
energy ball
calm mind
Volcarona- Very powerful pokemon. Signature pokemon for Alder.
Quiver dance
flamethrower
bug buzz
psychic
Hydreigon- Very Very powerful. Signature pokemon for Ghetsis.
Dragon pulse
Fire blast
surf
focus blast

================

OOOR... He could be a bug type champion which would be a neat twist...

Accelgor- basic bug type
energy ball
bug buzz
me first
focus blast
escavalier- steel type gives it some nice coverage for a bug type.
iron head
x-scizzor
aerial ace
double team/attract/toxic/swords dance/ anything...
Galvantula- love its design
Thunder
sucker punch
light screen
thunder wave/toxic
Crustle- interesting typing
rock wrecker
x-scizzor
shadow claw
stealth rock
leavanny- swords dance
x-scizzor
leaf storm
reflect
aerial ace
volcarona-
quiver dance
flamethrower
bug buzz
psychic

Belive it or not I was able to find a few things to change for cynthia aswell! Based off her platinum team...
*= change

Spiritomb:
will-o-wisp*
Shadow ball*
Psychic
silver wind

Roserade-
Shadow ball
energy ball
sludge bomb
extrasensory ( I considered switching a move for toxic spikes)

Milotic- (how dare you steal wallace's signature pokemon? >.<)
Surf
Ice beam
mirror coat
aqua ring (would go well if it held a leftovers)

Lucario- Again I couldn't find anything truely wrong with it. Maybe give it inner focus because bulbapedia says it has steadfast.
Earthquake
psychic
dragon pulse
aura sphere

Togekiss- serene grace*

Flamethrower*
air slash
Water pulse
Roost*

Garchomp- Rough skin* Yes give it the dream world ability which is actualy kind of useful because cynthia's team isn't sandstorm based. Mayb for steven but I think rough skin would b more useful for her.
Besides that its moveset is sort of set in stone by cartoon appearances I belive. In an actual battle I'd simply replace giga impact with swords dance though.

The Jolteon that he uses on Pokemon Yellow seems a great option. Or the Electivire that he has on the anime seems pretty well too.

Ooh I could definitely see him with an Electivire. :3 Seems very Blue-like!

Some time ago I was doing one of the challenges of here in my Platinum cartridge. I was playing as Blue and I used Pokemon thas he has on his team according to a published list, and one of the pokemon on my team was a Electivire because, like you, I agree that it is much like Blue. Unfortunately the battery of my cartridge died ...

Hey I just got this nice idea. I realized that sinnoh came with a lot of potential additions to a sandstorm team so I decided to make a Steven stone team for the sinnoh region out of leftover pokemon laying around my pc boxes. Tell me what you think.

Hippowdon-(sandstream)
stealth rock
toxic
earthquake
slack off

Magnezone-(sturdy)
Thunderbolt
flash cannon
Lightscreen
Reflect

Rhyperior-(solid rock)
Earthquake
Rock wrecker
dragon tail
Fire blast

Lucario-(inner focus)
aura sphere
psychic
earthquake
dragon pulse

Bronzong-(levitate)
Psychic
Flash cannon
Earthquake
Payback

Garchomp-(sand veil)
Dragon rush
Earthquake
brick break
crunch

I think it would be a nice champion team for steven if he were to visit sinnoh. It does have a few weak points that I trid to cover up the best I could.

But that mess is Steel Team...

Sorry, been a bit away cause of school exams:

If you could change your favorite Champion's team, how would you change it?
Hmmm... Red's Team. I'm not much of a competitive battler so I'd say Take out that damn lapras + one other pokemon and give me back my damn Espeon + Aerodactyl xD Only saying this too make the Champ's/Red's team more PokeSpec

Garchomp is interesting, but would that take away at all from it being Cynthia's signature Pokemon, do you think? Or would it be similar to Wallace and Cynthia both having Milotic?

Yes, because the signature Pokemon of Red is Pikachu ;)

I think she means something like "wouldn't Cynthia's Garchomp be less unique if Red had it?" And I think it would detract from Cynthia's lineup if some other iconic person used it. It'd be like Blue having a Pikachu. I also think it's a little awkward for Red to have a Sinnoh Pokémon tbh.

Ok, I see you point.
Blue with a Pikachu? Please, don't.
And I mistake Red with Ash, that's the reason of Garchomp on his team XD
Well maybe we can swap Garchomp with Tyranitar?

I could definitely see him with a Tyranitar. Not sure why that one makes more sense to me than a Garchomp, but it does xD

Well Tyranitar live around Mount Silver or w/e don't they? Maybe that's why. :>

As for the actual topic... I feel like Steven should have a Mawile. Maybe instead of his Claydol?

So the actual topic was about Steven...
Yeah, I agree. He should have a Mawile. Or a Scizor ;)

Well no the actual topic was about changing Champion's team but my favorite is Steven so yeah. lol

And idk about Scizor. I mean it's Steel, sure, but also bug. He's already got Armaldo... I dunno lol. I think Mawile should be showcased a bit, you know? It was the first pure steel type, after all.

I wouldn't give him mawile. There's nothing special about its stats move or typing=/ Claydol is vital in his team as it helps stop ground and fighting moves from sweeping him.

A possible topic could be: What element/theme would you like to see a new champion specialize in?

In which case I'd say that I would enjoy seeing a poison/dark specialist. The two elements are very stealthy, sneaky and ninja like. Similar to koga but to also specialize in dark and be champion with a better team because the only thing that makes koga tough is the fact he's a double team/minimize toxic stall n00b.

Let me demonstrate. Dark types are weak against fighting and bug. Poison types are resistant to them however. Poison types are weak against psychic and ground. The dark types can deal with the psychic pokemon easily while a few team members will be able to avoid ground completely with levitation and flying like hydreigon, weezing and crobat.

You know what I don't get?
How they let a bunch of 10 year old kids become Champions,Just because they beat the Champion.
I mean, think about it. Champions are the ambassadors and Practically Leaders of their respective regions. There is no government, Just the Champion. Just because you beat the Champion doesnt make you ready for it. You should earn it.
And if 10 year olds were our government, they'd probably make Video Games free and destroy the Pokemon Leugue building and replace it with an Arcade.

I would probably take out the Lapras since he already has a Water-type, and replace with either his old Espeon or another Psychic-type like Alakazam.
