North Korea fires on South Korea - 2 dead for now

I'd like to see a Hippie's reaction protesting the Vietnam war when it is similar to the Korean war, and will soon end like the Vietnam war if those MTV Punks and dumb****s continue to bash everything military because bands like Anti-Flag and Rise Against failed Government class so bad, the kids look at them as bloody rebels who fight against the mainstream yet the mainstream is what made those sad losers famous in the first place.

I only have one comment:

...the hell is this?

This. I think that countries should not get involved in business that really isn't theirs. Especially the US.

Except that South Korea is America's ally. If someone attacked Canada the US would retaliate, there's no difference in this case.

Thanks :)
It's good to let go of your anger against humanity and Western Society in general, even if barely anyone could understand you'll rather have Rise Against and Green Day fans gassed over the 6 million Jews.
If anything, Liberals should hold a "Punch anyone who gives us a bad image" day.
*Glares at people who thinks Anti-Flag speaks the truth*

Seriously, what the hell are you on about? You're sentences aren't horribly coherent, and even if they were formed according to English standards I doubt they would make any more sense. Did a Liberal eat a friend of yours? That's the only explanation I can see.

I doubt North Korea really has the guts to start a war, with their...precarious position at the moment in the world. They're not exactly the most powerful country in the world right now... Plus, it'd most likely just end up with a big ocean where they used to be.

I just hope South Korea's threat of "multiplefold retaliation" won't come true.

bout time, can we finally take North Korea out now that we're not totally on bad terms with China anymore?

Though seriously, the only reason we didn't take North Korea during the Korean war was because China was backing them. One less North Korea is one less problem to worry about. >>

Point out my hatred of Liberals. All I said is that LIBERALS should hold a "punch anyone who gives us a bad image day". You know, 95% of US liberals aren't even Liberal? Just following the crowd. Giving them a bad image, protest anything and everything, you know. Slitting their wrists and stuff like that.

So all US Liberals are depressed teenagers wanting attention from their parents? :\

Now isn't that just painting a great amount of people with a wide and really bad brush.

Do you even know what is a Liberal? Because even under that word is a lot of definitions:

Social Liberal: Wants to provide for people's necessities
Economic Liberal: Wants no Government intervention in the Economy
Culturally Liberal: Wants no Government regulation of religion, beliefs etc.
Politically Liberal: Most modern democracies are this allowing for government elections and such

But this is just replying to a flamebait so to get back on topic the US is urging China to act on North Korea.

I never knew 95% = All Liberals.

Ask a Democrat politician and what he/she stands for. Then ask a kid who thinks Punk Rock is alive. Now compare that politician to the majority of Democrat supporters.

Ask a stone head about why Marijuana should be legalized, then ask an Attorney why he/she supports legalizing Marijuana. Those "Liberals" that managed to glue themselves to the political ideology are doing it in self-interest. My support for gay rights is not because I want to make-out with a girl in public, but because I truly believe it is their right as citizens to be able to marry and the such. Now compare that to those who simply want to see Lesbians naked in public.

Horrible bands to create Pseudo-Liberals is like Mosques, Churches, whatever preaching what is deemed Conservative to our standards.....and if you don't support that view.....you're going to hell.

Let's try to stay on topic shall we? This thread isn't about liberals. It's about the consistent problems going on in North and South Korea.

I'd like to hear some good things about North Korea for a change. Although when someone says North Korea has a higher literacy rate than the South.. well, that's not very impressive imo.

Very sad event. I definitely do not want to live in Korea right now. I have no idea how the South should handle this situation. I do not understand the purpose of the North. China is opening up and is busily expanding its middle class and its share of developing consumer products for the world, but what's North Korea's purpose? :\ If the North has a peaceful goal--what is it?

In an unexpected turn of events, Kim Jong Il wants to grant his son and future dictator a war so the country will accept him as a leader in those "difficult moments" without questioning it too much:

...What?? What is the point of all this? What will bombing S. Korea prove?

So it's okay to leave a crazy pseudo-communist dictatorship with an incredibly opressed population who have never heard of human rights or anything similar to bomb the crap out of one of your allies, a democratic republic, member of the OECD and the G-20, creating a crazy wave of unstability in the Asian zone (which is just what we need to get out of the world crisis).
Yeah. Unless they ASK us to go help, why can't South Korea and China handle it themselves? Seriously?

I think you'd be hard pressed to find anything good about North Korea.

But I agree, This is not the place to be right now. North and South have had skirmishes in the past, but this seems a bit more real in terms of the possibility of outright warfare. I think there needs to be UN or NATO peacekeeping involvement. Not like the UN is gutsy enough to call their bluff.

I agree. While this could escalate if we feed the troll, North Korea, it can also die in obscurity in time. Of course South Korea has already had enough. They've issued the ultimatum: "Attack us again and there will be severe repercussions"...which amounts to a veiled war threat, sternly worded.

Of course this means if South Korea actually launches a military campaign, the US will no doubt step in too, and offer additional troops and supplies. I'd say it's about time, since North Korea has needed a good punishing, and not just the slaps on the wrist that the UN is so fond of issuing. If South Korea and China weren't so close, I'd say we should drop a big fat juicy N-Bomb on their cocky asses and be done with it. We know that'd set 'em back a good ways, even if we didn't drop the nuke directly on a populated area. I think we might be able to drop a few tiny nukes on them though but even then the damage might be too dire.

Pretty funny how all I did was voice a harsh opinion that the majority of this forum don't agree on and now I'm considered a troll. That could also mean the mod who got us all into this argument can also be called a troll for mentioning my friend being eaten by a Liberal only because I claim most of them are not even liberals, just following a trend. After all, if she/he would actually read my post and notice there's nothing saying we should slaughter all liberals or leftists, only that most "liberals" are trend followers and don't care what democrats really think, now I am suddenly a troll. I thought the so called "Free-Thinking" and "tolerant" liberals would look beyond just the word "Troll" but rather "Someone with an opinion". Now I am considered a Conservative aren't I, considering what I said previously about my support for Gay Marriage?

All I did was got into an argument, if arguing with someone who share a different view on things is considered trolling, then I suggest PC as a whole stop discussing Politics or anything that can get people to argue on their point-of-view. If you really think this is trolling, I beg you guys to go on Omegle.

I guess I'm a troll as well as everyone else because I say I'm expecting a third World War out of the current situation in Korea.

Nuclear Warfare? Over the deaths of two people and some light skirmishing? Doing that would be akin to starting WWIII right here and now. Not a snowball's chance in hell. The repercussions of using a nuclear warhead would be so vast and crippling we'd be the ones set back.

I doubt there'd be a nuclear war, considering how close the borders are. Unless North Korea's suicidal, which we don't even know if they are. All we know is that they attack, kill, make an excuse, get excused.

That Kim Jong Un, KJ Il's son and successor, is a "brave" military leader. He's only 29 and he has just been rised to the top of a crazy dictatorship, and he's now surrounded by 70 year old veterans who fought during the Korean War back in the 50's with his grandfather. They want to see some evidence of his "courage" before trusting him, or else he's risking a coup d'etat once his dad is gone.

Yeah. Unless they ASK us to go help, why can't South Korea and China handle it themselves? Seriously?

Too late, Korea already asked the US for protection 60 years ago. An US aircraft carrier is already on route to SK, so I don't think they can now take it away if the situation gets worse.

Kim Jong Il is the head of a fanatical totalitarian Dictatorship. I wouldn't leave anything off the table in terms of what they're willing to do.

Well, if he is that suicidal, China and Russia must get involved if KJI actually tries something like that. US, Japan, South Korea, Philippines, Canada, New Zealand and Australia are signed to a Free-Trade Pact with Russia and China, doing something like this would risk Russia to rot with only Iran and China or others to trade with, but Germany's the world 2nd largest exporter and Iran's biggest trade partner as well as Russia's major trading partner in the West. It would be a chaotic mess.

TL;DR - KJI tries to do that: China and Russia would have no choice but to stop him.
