Issue: Not showing the right amount notifications

So these two days I noticed something about my notifications:

1. When it said 1 notification, I saw two quotes when I clicked on it.
2. When it said 1 message, I saw three Visitor Messages instead.

I'll try and switch themes into something else to find out whether it's the problem with the theme, but I've never experienced problems with Winter Friends before. :/

It kinda does the same thing with me.

But in my case, it showed my VM notifications, and then when I finally went to check them, it got rid of them and showed me quote notifications that hadn't shown up before.

Same problem here \: Sometimes drifts over to the messages notifications as well where it won't give me any notice, but then I'll check my profile, and there are new messages :c

Same for me.
I thought it was a feature... guess it wasn't.
Also has similar problem as Va-... I mean Raine, in my case, I only get notification about vm if I clear all post notifications.

Same problem here; using Caramel Sentret if themes are making any difference. It's not even that it just condenses the notifications; sometimes it just doesn't show one vm out of three that actually exist.

Well, I'm still having tons of problems.

I'm not being notified at all about getting visitor or private messages.
It just says 00 Notfications (Yes, 2 zeros) and the Messages button is unclickable.
I have to manually check my inbox/profile for new messages right now. :I

EDIT: I only seem to have the problem while using the theme "Forever Standing"
