Issue: Notification bugs

I know everyone's picking on the somewhat flawed new notification system, but I'll post my problem anyway.
You see, whenever I select my Messages window and receive a message from [user]nidoking76[/user] I get this weird message as well:

The top one ("OOH Yaay...") one is a message identical to the one I received two days ago, except he never sent it to me. IDK why this is happening...

And another thing, with the new notif system, I wake up in the morning and open the PC up to find this:

I mean, what? I clicked all of them and I was lead to about 7 pages in total. This means that 25 notifications were repeated. I think this may be because of minor edits made in posts with a quote being counted as another notification, and the 'like' notification sometimes appearing twice. I don't want to open 33 tabs so early XD

Of course, some notifications are for more than one post I made in a thread, so I guess that narrows it down to 12 extra notifications.

I really like this new notif system, but sometimes, it gives a heart attack :P

It's all about the edits and that. Even the OOH Yaaaaay! VM is an edit message, really. I was so confused when I got that the first time. @_@

It just doesn't make sense, though, because:
1) There wouldn't be any reason why he'd be saying that, since that's so out of topic.
2) It appeared twice, and it never appeared in my profile.

It's possible that he edited the vm twice. Meanwhile, the message just appears whenever an edit is made, and isn't reflective of what was actually said in the VM. (I made a topic asking about it myself, so don't worry about being confused with it nonetheless, haha).
