Go...play in the snow with some bears or something. XD
Yes, I believe I did, XD

Snow is only good for getting buses cancelled. It's too cold for playing in.

*smacks David*...bastard.

I played in snow once...it was the first time I'd actually been in snow...got sick, but it was worth it. XD

Human interaction and the humanitarian reasons behind it are find and everything, but eventually you have to remember that they do need money themselves. I've see a lot of teachers forced into bankruptcy because their pay was nowhere near enough for all the bills. Getting out there with the students is nice, but if they don't appreciate it or take in anything, what's the point? If they think they can make a better life for themselves without school, let them try and stop wasting tax payer money.

...have we had this conversation before?

The problem with this is that somebody is always going to be stuck with the job, and it's usually the most talented people and those least deserving of their financial situation...I hate the way our government funds schools, it's all based on property tax so the rich districts with the lazy and already overpriviledged students get the most funding, so they're always in their cycle of luxury, while poorer districts like mine that are the most hardworking never get money...there's just no way to fix it; the problem with strikes is that while the teachers may want something reasonable, school boards are more inflexible and that's where the conflict arises, becuase people don't care to compromise, and that leads to people forgetting that there are things at stake and people caught in the middle of power struggles. This frustrates me more than anything.

I don't think we have.......we do tend to debate a lot, though XD

It's snowing here right now...just flurrying...but it's 40 degrees out =/

Because your avatar screams manly. It comes off to me as neutral, XD
And Jorge, you've gender bent before, so I'd watch it, XD

Well it could be fixed, but that would take a long time. By then there probably won't be enough people interested in teaching. That's one thing that people notice a lot more now, teachers don't make the past pay, nor they make what they deserve. If that's what people see it as, they're going to try something else, something that they enjoy and where they can make enough money to get by. School boards have to be inflexible, that's what sucks about most places now. They want to help the teachers out more, but they just can't. Fund raisers and that sort of thing doesn't garner nearly enough money.

Probably...I could have sworn we've had this exact same conversation though.

...and you're lucky, I think we're still in the 50s here. XD

Edit - David...not nearly as much as you have. XD

Macy's Thanksgiving Parade... *pfft*

When will they ever have Strike Freedom and Infinite Justice balloons? Heck, I'd settle for Freedom and Justice or even Strike and Aegis. What I really want to see, however, is an Alphonse Elric balloon. XD

Yes, it's unfortunate, teaching is seen as so undesirable now, so that makes things even worse. I know a few people in my grade who want to go into teaching, but most of them want to go into grade school teaching, high school seems terrifying to most people, but that might just be because we're still in it. There's just no good way to convince people that education is fulfilling as a career...I'd be interested in it, but I'm afraid of ending up in a dead-end teaching job like all the people at my school. But someone in a high place needs to pull an unexpected and amazing reform out of their butt and soon, it's getting really bad. If our teachers can't live, nobody else can. They're the cornerstones of a good society and nobody cares.

I think the last debate we had was whether the Confederate Flag was offensive or not XD

So, you're lucky, I'd rather have it either bitter with snow or warm with no snow, not bitter without benefits XD

They had a Hi Hi Puffy Ami Yumi balloon this year >O I wanted to kill myself when I saw it...because it's crap and lots of idiots think it's anime...and it came complete with the real Puffy Ami Yumi, who sound like a couple of drunken Japanese cats with Down's Syndrome...

...yet Puffy AmiYumi is like the biggest pop group in Japan...nice. I hate them though, they have the worst songs I have ever heard.

And now...I need some sleep.

Really? I'll be on the lookout for that. They're barely showing the parade here on the West Coast...
