Yeah I get the concept that they want to watch it faster for whatever reason. I just get confused because I don't feel like you can accurately assess a show if you're watching it not at the speed it was designed to be watched. The sounds aren't the same, the pauses aren't the same, you could easily miss inflections in tone and small details, the pacing is all off, etc.
I also don't understand it... I haven't tried it myself...

I find it stupid, tbh. But people and their preferences. Whatever.

Watching Hungry Heart these days. And restarted some stuff that I haven't seen in a week or two like the current on-going series and Mahouka (heard there's 00ber stu level stuff in episode 17).

of course you would disagree heh

have you been watching Tokyo Ghoul? I've seen 2/4 (or 5) eps and it's pretty good so far, high expectations for the rest of it

The ones marked red are what I'm watching right now. and yes, I do think Tokyo Ghoul will get more interesting. It has managed to capture my attention better than, say, Aldnoah Zero and Akame Ga Kill for now. Zankyou no Terror and Barakamon are still higher on my priority list, though. But who knows. ZnT can bomb pretty hard (lolpun) and Tokyo Ghoul can go on to become something great. I don't think Akame ga Kill is blowing me away though.

I'm loving the music in Aldnoah Zero (sawano + kalafina). But I don't really know if the series has what it takes to blow one away.

I'm not sure it was a good idea to skip arcs just for the sake of butchering everything into 1 cour :/
I was hooked to the first 3 episodes but after the skip, it feels weird...

I think Tokyo Ghoul is okay so far, I haven't really been super impressed by it, but will keep watching it because a lot of people really like it and maybe it'll get better.

I wouldn't either lel. But I still have some hopes. :p I don't feel like I have any hope for Akame ga Kill though for some reason.

Anyway, up-to-date with Mahouka. Tatsuya stu-level = god level.

I've been telling you guy that Tats is god from the start =D

Not sure... they butcher the manga too much.

Is it really true that japan is banning anime and manga streaming?
In China.

lol, I wouldn't bet on it.

It seems like it's this season show that everyone obsesses about, so I'm not really sure about it either, but nothing's impossible!!

It has blood and gore which means it's super mature and psychological.

Ahhh...Weeaboo Name your great, sarcastic posts brings a smile to my face :).

And yeah keeping with the sarcasm of your post Name, Blood and gore don't make for a mature or psychological anime. I mean take a look at Kimagure Orange Road, almost no blood or gore and yet has a very mature plot, great characters and character development, and timeless and great storytelling.

Seriously, you don't need to have blood and gore in order to make a super mature and psychological story or series. In fact skip it altogether and focus on the core elements (storytelling, character development, pacing) which makes an anime great like Cowboy Bebop, Kaleido Star, Lupin III, Cromartie High School, Macross, Gunbuster, Hidamari Sketch, Monster, Aria, or Yawara: A Fashionable Judo Girl (Just to name a few) all demonstrated.

I mean in a literal sense, that is what makes them stand out to others and why most of them have stood the test of time so far and are remembered so fondly while quite a bit of other animes have faded into obscurity, because said animes listed above didn't rely heavily on gimmicks to draw in a substantial audience, they just wanted to tell the story that they wanted to tell, and develop the characters along the way. In other words, substance over style.
