That's a good way of putting it. Cute...but not meant for the game.

But to me, it was kind of weird how they just put in Green, the thieving girl from the manga randomly into it. Of course though I'm getting off topic. I would much prefer Soul over some other girl in the manga, and I really have no problem with soul.

Well it does kind of make sense. The Red and Green (guy Green) from the manga are the counterparts to the two characters in RBYG, so when they remade those games and needed a new female, it made sense to use the same two males from the original games and the female that went along with them. If that made any sense x:. They'll probably find some way to fit "Soul" (I still don't think that should be her name) into the manga.


Anyways, I still don't see why it matters so much. Kris was a good character, but just because she isn't in the game (as a playable character, I'm hoping she'll make a cameo) doesn't mean everyone needs to hate on "Soul." And there have been much uglier characters and outfits in the games. Did you guys see DPPt's guy? His outfit is even worse than hers.
 
Nintendo doesn't make the games DX Gamefreak does

I expected Kris as much as anyone else, its really no big deal though, they could have made it worse. MUCH WORSE. terrible even :>

since when does overalls = automatic hillbilly DX?
those are some mad sexy overalls and you know it ;o;
 
I think she brings a fresh approach to the game. She does looks nice :)
 
When I first saw her I did the same thing Elm did when he saw the egg. But now I actually couldn't care less because I'll be playing as Gold. Now here's something to think about, a naming problem. If they named her Kris, fans of Kris would be seriously pissed. If they made Kris and named her Soul, people would probably be pissed as they want Kris. Well if they did that we would have to get accustomed to KrisSilver.
 
To me Soul is not ugly she's actually cute in a way (IMO) , you all might be calling ugly because you don't like her (seems like that).

I've seen some people call her Kris, I might soon on too maybe since I usually call Kris/Crys Marine.

I personally like the new girl. Didn't like her when I first saw her, but now I do. They're not going to put in Kris now, so we might as well get used to Soul or whatever her name is. Besides, Kris might be in a cameo or something
 
I like the new girl. She is pretty cute. I can't wait to be her in HG/SS.
Her outfit is the best of all the girls.
 
I personaly like her design myself. Unlike her male counterpart, she has gone through a drastic change of attire, changing from her sporty Japanese look to more of a subtle blend of European, country, and city girl styles. She at definitely holds her spot as one of my favorite female player models.
 
Female Hero- Kris VS Soul

Some of us have seen the new female for the HG/SS remakes of G/S/C and the female from Crystal. However not everybody is impressed with the new female character (I'm not anyway...). Let me just get some pictures...

As you can see they've done some editing, and really, the massive editing was not really needed and the old picture looks much better.

I will say this once though, I'm sure 47865378634986 people have said it to the raging Kris fans. Soul is NOT there to replace Kris.
 
this discussion has been held up many times before and the conclusion is that soul is a new character and not a replacement for kris, it is very likely kris may appear in these games, maybe not as a main character, but at least play a role somewhere in the story especially since many parts of the crystal storyline events have been braught over to these remakes.
 
I prefer Soul to Kris. I hold no nostalgia for Kris and can't resist cute things, for some odd reason.
 
Prefer Kris like alot of other people....know big long blue hair vs smaller brown normal person hair (PS how is that hat logical? her head can be that big....can it?(thats the hat Im talking about) lmao other than that clothes...I like the bright clothes better just 'cuz...
Know thats just my biased opinion...but meh Kris ftw (fer the win)!!!
 
Soul wears what a little kid would wear. I wish Pokémon would at least try to make the series appeal more to older kids.
 
I don't care because I don't play the girl, but this new girl seriously needs to get with the times .... I mean come on overalls?
