Can it really be a copy when the thing copied was already a copy of what was copying them?

(I'mnotseriousdon'tyouguysfrakinstart!)

Are we sure its a Badge? I won't doubt she'd be fighting type since she's in Roller Derby gear and that is a brutal sport.

If anyone wants to talk about copying
Digimon's first thing was the Digital Pet
Which was already DONE by Tamagotchi~
AND! Pokemon came before Digimon. Pokemon was 1996
Digimon Digital Pets were 1997
They copy each other....it's conspiracy I tell you, they must be secretly working together

But I digress, if this new Gym leader is supposed to be the specialist on the Mega stone things
Why not be multitype?

Lol and Poke-aime is a copy of nintendogs.

Seriously nothing is new under the sun if you look at the big picture.

I wonder if Xerneas and Yvetal will get Megaevolutions...

That might depend on if any other legendaries besides Mewtwo will be getting any....
I think Mewtwo got one because even though it's one of the original biggest....It's severely underused because it lacks power when compared to the pokemon of the newer gens.

I hoping Korrina doesn't actually use a single type but specializes in high speed Pokemon because she's on roller blades. I know that's wishful thinking on my part but I think it would be a nice change.

Please tell me you're kidding me? Mewtwo has 130 Speed, 154 Sp.Attack, Aura Sphere and Psystrike. It's so fast and powerful it still manages to put just about every other Pokemon to shame. The reason it's underused is because it's banned in competitive play.

I can name one pokemon that can SLAUGHTER mewtwo, and it's not a legendary
Alakazam. The same pokemon I've always used to catch mewtwo.
It can also be easily beaten by Zoroark. Underuse has nothing to do with being banned, I'm talking about normal gameplay not competitive.
Mewtwo, just isn't as good as it used to be.

I really love what their doing with pokemon, especially the expansion of culture exchange between the regions. It makes me wonder though, is the pokemon world really just the real world in replacement of pokemon? There is strong evidence of that, especially since they based many places off of real locations in France for X and Y, New York City for America, parts of Japan in the previous 4. Conspiracy theories are fun...

That's quite bad reasoning. Firstly using an Alakazam to catch an untrained wild Mewtwo is a very bad comparison. Other than Magic Guard, Mewtwo has an absolute advantage over Alakazam in every possible aspect.

Secondly Zoroak is slower than Mewtwo even though it's a glass canon so Mewtwo would just flatten it before it got to act. Even if Zoroak used Sucker Punch there's no guarantee that Mewtwo will be attacking that turn since it has such a wide move pool.

Thirdly, I'm assuming "normal gameplay" refers to playing the story of the game where Mewtwo isn't available in the most games and is only available at the end of the post game in the ones he's in so there isn't any opportunity to use him. Then you also a multitude of players who flat out refuse to use any legendary Pokemon.

So you think it's simple to just catch a level 70 wild mewtwo with a level 44 alakazam?
And as for zoroark, if you EV train it for speed [which I tend to do with all my pokemon for at least 20 levels, speed is important in all battles], or with the right nature, it could easily out-speed a mewtwo. Focus sash, or razor claw, + night slash, either a one-hit crit K.O. two-turn domination.

Any legendary can be dominated with the right pokemon and the right trainer. And Post-game counts as normal gameplay. The other areas that unlock, and the places that don't have the built-in bans, like Black Tower and Whitetree Hollw.

Another good example, whether you see it as a bad example or not. My prime, Lucario, with Shadow Claw, can easily dominate Mewtwo as well, mewtwo's wide movepool, can't really help it with Lucario's resistances, and Mewtwo's commonly low defense [due to people generally training Sp stats] leaves it open to physical attacks.

P.S. this isnt the thread for discussing this :P

After seeing so much fanart of Dedenne, I'm obsessed with it. I've got no idea on if I'm pronouncing the name correctly though. I've always hated the names of the Pika-Clones though. Pachirisu, Emolga?! Like... those are not cute or iconic like Pikachu.

I'm currently obsessed with Mega Mawile, and I've always had an appreciation for just regular Mawile. She slays now. My trinity is Mega Mawile, Mega Blaziken, and Mega Lucario. They look like they could be in a totally awesome Pokemon fighting game.

Also, I've hear that it was confirmed that Megas are confirmed to be a Kalos only thing? Is that stupidity true?

Well, the person who provided the rumors that turned out to be true such as Fairy Type, English Names etc said that there is a Bug type Gym, Fairy type Gym and a Fighting type Gym and he was right about the Bug type gym sooo..

They only say only Kalos due to the fact they've only just been discovered in the region, it'll pass to future gens for definite due to other regions beginning to hop on board the Mega bandwagon and providing more Mega Stones, after all, they wouldn't keep something as game changing and huge as this confined to just one region.
That' be like keeping Double Battles exclusive to Hoenn, or keeping the Special/Physical split exclusive to Sinnoh.

Mega evolution sound more like Super Saiyan to me than a Digimon copy, even the way they evolve in battle look more like Super Saiyan from Dragonball.

Serebii's updated, apparently the Japanese site says that that can only have One MegaEvolution in battle.
Apparently, this means either only one Pokémon in your team can hold a MegaStone, or, that if you sent out 2 Pokémon holding Megastones during a double battle, only one will change.
It's still a bit vague.

Either way, this means you'll never find someone with an entire team full of Megas.

There are two things about mega evolutions I'm hyped to know:

Will all pokemon be able to megavolve or not?

Or they will be just not in x and y, such as whenever a future generation comes they reveal a new mega evolution?

Will legndaries such as Genesect or Arceus be able to evolve?

I'm extremely interested about this! As you know Genesect has a extreme speed version in the animie, and arceus... well shaped the universe with it's thousand arms so?

This actually interests me a lot. It has potential, and while it has its risks Game Freak has yet to disappoint me with a game. I trust that this'll go very well and I'm eager to see more Mega designs!

So we have our electric type rodent for Gen 6, I wonder if we'll actually get an evolution for it or whether it'll be another Pachirisu/Emolga.

They said that not every pokemon will get a Mega. They are suppose to reveal more next month. However, they will probably add more in the future. I highly doubt all fully evolved pokemon will get megas even after this generation.

Mega Kangaskhan has been revealed by Masuda himself.

Spoiler:

It's baby comes out it's pouch! I'm so happy for this one cause I've always sort wanted something like this.
It's ability, Parental Bond, allows it too hit twice once as the kid and second as the adult I'm assuming.
