    People say other people have a great personality all the time, but what does the mean to you? What defines a great personality?
     
    I don't really say that people have a "great personality" myself, but I take it to mean that they are agreeable or charismatic and in some way good-natured like being generous or kind to people. I assume that if someone says it (and actually means it) they're saying the person doesn't really have any obvious bad qualities.
     
    Someone who's relatively outgoing, but not brash or obnoxious, has a good sense of humour, shows empathy towards other people, has a degree of charisma, is easy to talk to and who is a generally genial person to be around. That's my completely scientific definition of a 'great' personality. I'm not sure how many people I know meet all of these criteria, but if they do, then they're all right in my book.
     
    If they can make me laugh and can think up relatively new jokes every day, then they have a great personality in my book.
     
    A great personality is more than one particular trait, because if it was just that one particular trait, people would just say you were funny or generous. It's a special trait that kind of relates to charisma - most people feel a little nervous when meeting new people, or something like that. Someone with a great personality is disarming in a way that puts most everyone at ease when they first meet them, and is generally magnetic.
     
    I feel personality and whether it's a good one or bad one is relative to your personality and likes and dislikes. Someone could have an all around good personality best they are outgoing, personable, complimentary, truthful, etc. But what really defines it is if you find it to be a good personality. I could say someone is just really nice because they are not relative to my personality, whereas someone else could think that they have an amazing personality. It boils down to the eye of the beholder, I feel.
     
    I think a great personality is, well, having a personality. If you have a personality, then that's great! You could list things like nice or funny or any of that, but I think if you have some sort of spark in you that shows you're a person and not a boring or monotonous robot, then it doesn't matter what it is - it's great.
     
    A great personality normally consists of not being a big headed douche.

    Someone who doesn't think of themselves all the time, someone who takes other peoples feelings into consideration, light hearted so on so on.​

    First thing that pops up is a joking, simple, fun loving guy with memes. Although I would never say "great" personality...I always say awesome. Although I consider nearly everybody like that...as long as they're funny, caring, easygoing, and positive.
     
    I think its someone who is good loking and has a good sense of humor and is nice also someone who likes pokemon lmao
     
    I am going to agree with Le Toujours in that being charismatic is a big part of having a great personality.

    They know what cards to play and when to play them. They adapt their behaviour to suit the situation appropriately. They know when to push their resources into making a big play as well as when to conserve and hold back.
     
    Depends on personal tastes. Just like looks, different strokes for different folks. What I find pleasing in a personality might not be what the next person finds so great. Personally, I tend to like people who are very open-minded, but firm in their personal goals, who can talk about what they want to achieve and do things to achieve it, who are brightly intelligent, and probably a little on the reticent side of the social spectrum. Smart shy hardworking people ftw! lol The exact opposite of me <_>
     
    Funny, understanding, open to everything, trusting, loyal, uhh drama free.

    I like someone who I can go and do nearly anything with. I hate hanging out with people who are only happy doing a handful of things and then everything else is either "too boring" etc. And thenn I wanna laugh with them, not listen to their stupid drama stories 24/7, have them be understanding of nearly anything, not having to worry about them telling other people things, and knowing that you're not going to ditch most of the time.

    It's not like I tell anyone anything anyways so why they need to be trusting IDK, but it's just nice to keep in mind in case I opened up to them in some weird weak moment. And everyone ditches, I do it too, but keep it at a minimum.
     
    Someone who doesn't intentionally piss people off. They don't try to start drama with other people, and are just nice in general, lol. :3
     
    When I hear "He has a great personality", I think that he or she is good to talk to, hang out with, you can sort of relat with them-they might know of or like what you like-and you can get along with them too.
     
    strong people who stand no matter what forcing them to fall apart and they keep smiling even in pain!

    Nice caring people who really care about the others..and show that with actions not words.

    funny people who like to cheer others up :3

    a person who do unexpected things i always see that person as a GREAT personality...something like when you expect all people care about themselves in danger..that person care about others as himself...and when he\she hate a person but that person will be hurt by something or someone else he\she goes to warn that person regardles they hate him...somethings like that for example ^^
     
    I'd like someone who has a sense of humor, stands up for themself but does so respectfully and doesn't get confrontational, and respects the opinions of others. Other aspects of a good personality include being friendly, sociable, and polite for others.

    I hope I'm not being too demanding, lol
     
    Someone with a great personality is someone who's understanding, caring, nice, has a sense of humor, is lovable, smart. Someone who's qualified to be my best friend. =D
