Old school pokemon...

In the new t.v series are the old school pokemon still in it? Like Picachu & Squirtle? Im unsure? I have recently just started getting back in to the pokemon spirit and things in the pokemon world has definitly changed, like the fact theres loads of new pokemon, and for some reason i don't no but theres a new pokemon master not Ask, im really confused, so i don't really no what to do?

On the TV Show, old Pokemon are still in it. But for Ruby and Sapphire and some more of the new games, the older Pokemon are not in it. But, for Pokemon Collessuem, older Pokemon are in it.

Well, actually, there are older Pokemon in Ruby and Sapphire; You just don't really see them as often.
