I got Alpha Sapphire mainly for the free Latias in-game. Also, throughout my life playing pokemon games, I always played the "A" between the pair, save for 1st Gen where i played Blue, so to culminate everything, I went with AS as a throwback to good old times. It also helped that most of my other friends got Omega Ruby so trading for version exclusives was not a problem.

6th Gen Omega Ruby or Alpha Sapphire?

I went with AS for various reasons, but I did get OR later on and, to be honest, the development for team Magma and dialogue wasn't half as good as team Aqua. Though, I do have to say, Admin Tabitha of team magma would have to be one of my favorite admins of all the evil organizations in the games. But besides that, I have always preferred Kyogre over Groudon, even with the primal forms (and I really do like Groudons primal, just I think Kyogre is the better of the 2).
Sapphire was my first beaten 3rd gen game and was my first game for gen 3, so there was some nostalgic aspects when I got the game.
With all the legends too in the post game, AS had some of my favorites like Zekrom and Dialga that I could capture.

Alpha Sapphire as I love Kyogre, all things water and I had Sapphire when I was younger.

AS because Sapphire was my original version and I loooved the thunderstorm scene back in Sapphire, much more so than Ruby's drought. The music was eerie and the scene overall made me very tense.
Though I quite like Maxie now I'll admit, but nothing beats Team Aqua. <3

In the middle of my first play through of Alpha Sapphire, I chose that as I preferred the Legendary available...I like Killer Whales.
However for me as I play with my Hubby we both choose different games and will play them simultaneously so we get ALL the pokemon.
We are mad collectors it seems :)
