Religion brings about as many good things as it does bad. There's a lot of artwork inspired by religion, music, food, holidays, and a lot of other stuff that I can't think of atm because my music is too loud and my head hurts and I'm too lazy to turn it down.

Good idea

Luke 15:3-7

So He told them this parable, saying, "What man among you, if he has a hundred sheep and has lost one of them, does not leave the ninety-nine in the open pasture and go after the one which is lost until he finds it? "When he has found it, he lays it on his shoulders, rejoicing."

I also love how people draw angels incorrectly

Spoiler:

Of course, Evangelion took it a step even further...

That's from Revelation, I take it.

If so (well, regardless, really), they're not drawn incorrectly. Pretty sure Gabriel had a single face, two wings, shown brightly, and a halo.

Then, of course, you have to take into consideration their rank (cherub, seraph, archangel, etc.), which tend to look different from one another.

Azrael is a badass. Just saying.

Depending on the outlook and precepts of various religions in which he is a figure, Azrael may be portrayed as residing in the Third Heaven. In one of his forms, he has four faces and four thousand wings, and his whole body consists of eyes and tongues, the number of which corresponds to the number of people inhabiting the Earth. He will be the last to die, recording and erasing constantly in a large book the names of men at birth and death, respectively.

He's basically the one that god put in charge of locking it all up when everyone's left the theater. "Here's the keys, turn out all the lights, make sure to put everything back where it belongs and don't forget to sweep."

Ah, well then my point stands, as Cherubs aren't generally the ones that are depicted in art- it's rather rare that they're used in historical paintings or popular culture at all.

Probably the latest prominent thing to have them was...Bayonetta, I think, and it was pretty accurate despite the liberties it took.

There's plenty of Cherubs, but they're shown as little babies, which is absurd

Cupid, you ruined thousands of years worth of hard work by the Church to instill fear in the masses

If I saw something with four faces coming at me, I'd be burning rubber in the opposite direction
