55.

It's more of an aggravated rant and less of a book.

Eloquent isn't a word I would associate with aggravated rants.

...Most of the time at least.

I find the conversation from when I left amusing. :v And on that note I was just joking about what I was listening to at the time being "Angry screaming metal." :P Most of the music I listen to doesn't have much or any screaming in it.
I was actually inclined to believe you because a roommate of mine was quite adamant that Metal was the best genre, and he what play it, screaming and otherwise. Liberally. It was...quite the year.

Plus, you never really know what type of music someone listens to until they tell you. You can guess, but I would be surprised if a blonde material girl told me her favorite genre was reggae.

I do listen almost exclusively to rock/metal, but there isn't much in the way of screaming and the like in it.

RED, Demon Hunter, Metallica, Megadeth, Machine Head, Shinedown, Three Days Grace and Thousand Foot Krutch are some of my favorite bands. But I listen to a lot more. (Like Iron Maiden and Black Sabbath, just to throw out some examples.) Tbh I get judge for my tastes in music by my friends and family but I really don't care. I like what I like.

Psh, if I cared what people thought about the music I listen to, or anything I like, I'd be the most miserable person on the planet.

I put emphasis on melody more than anything else, it's a big part of the reason that I'm not a big fan of dubstep or things with dubstep influence, as they're generally pretty erratic and lose their melodies once the wub hits. Not really a fan of modern radio rap either because it's mostly about the same things said different ways (though that could be said about a lot of music, it's most apparent here), though comedic rap can be enjoyable.

But my emphasis on melody is a large reason I can enjoy and appreciate video game music and and Japanese music, because the roots of video game music is simply melody. At its base, VGM was quite literally the rhythm of the game, and its since changed and expanded, going on to encompass different styles and influence non-Video Game Music. J-music puts a lot of emphasis on it as well, which is why I can really get into it.

I couldn't really define the types of music that I like. I think Touhou's a big part of why I say this, particularly because of its remixes which tend to span every genre. You have the more chill Cafe de Touhou, which is an album of remixes based in various types of Jazz, Demetori, which is mostly Hard Rock and Metal Remixes, Rockgirl, which are Chiptune remixes, and the various pop artists. And these kind of embody why I enjoy what these genres are (in terms of style, instrumentation, composition, melody, etc.) even if I don't specifically enjoy the genres' songs themselves. I'm just a fan of music, really.

The Ones Who Walk Away from Omelas, now that brings back some memories of starting essays just a few hours before deadlines. Splendid.

I listen to all sorts of music.

Sakura.

Naruto and Hinata. Sauce and Sakura. Chouji and Karui. Shikamaru and Temari. Sai and Ino. Kiba and that cat woman. There's also a kid that looks like Lee but it might well end up being another Guy-Lee type thing.
