I only go on a handful of websites (SPUF, dA, IB, PC and Facebook)
I don't want a lot of anime (Half of Naruto, up through Ichigo getting his Bankai in Bleach, stopped One Piece shortly after Luffy met Crocodile...hell, the only anime series that I remember watching all the way through are Shakugan No Shana, Buso Renkin and Evangelion)

Heck, I haven't watched Pokemon since...middle school

Personally excited, myself. The show can go pretty much anywhere- though I do wonder if the show will take place before or after the time skip at the end. Probably before, I'd imagine, but it'll be interesting to see. Been wanting a Z remake for years, but this works (possibly better- honestly, I can't see any way that this can be worse than Z).
