I've played 1, 2, and Birth By Sleep to the end (in that order). Though I've also played a good deal of 358/2 Days (before I sold my copy), some of Chain of Memories (ended up just reading the manga), and the very, very beginning of Coded

Guys.

GUYS.

BBS. It's FUCKING good. Easily the best in the series. Great story, fantastic direction (the opening is one of the smartest cinematic sequences in the series, if not THE smartest), easily my favorite characters (Aqua <3)- it's just a lot of fun and a really interesting entry in Kingdom Hearts. I put off playing it for so long because I didn't have a PSP, but when I did play it (on PPSSPP, the game looks fantastic upscaled), it was worth it.

I don't know if I'd say BBS is the best- Definitely wouldn't say it's easily the best, but then again I haven't played it all the way through to I really wouldn't know. But what I have played is pretty amazing.

^There's your problem. BBS doesn't really shine until things start to come together, and I imagine once you get to through the game and start playing a second character you'll start enjoying it and its story. Also, Aqua. She doesn't get nearly enough love as she deserves.

I personally don't see why Roxas is so popular other than his hair. I mean, as far as character's concerned they never really gave him the time of day, even in 358/2 Days (which, really, was a lot more Xion's game than it was his and, similarly, she got a lot more character development than he did). Sora and even Ventus got more character dev time than he did.

Yeah, I chalk it up to the hair.

Ah, so it's not the hair. It's the X. Or maybe it's Jesse Mccartney, but in 2015 I wouldn't think that'd be a seller.

I like "human", beginning of KH2 Roxas, but I could never really get into his Organization XIII self or his design. He was always too broody for me- as in, perpetually broody, and his artwork is always filled with teen aaaaaaaaaangst. I'm sure his smile kills puppies.

My top three in order are Aqua, Riku, Lea/Axel. Though, after 3D, Riku may take tops. Depends on how well they explore Aqua in the final installment of the Xehanort saga.

Fellow KH Fans/followers, WHERE HAVE YOU ALL BEEN IN MY LIFE?

:P

Well we don't really talk about it (here) much, and my relationship with the series is pretty complicated, though it's pretty hard to put into words. I don't really gush about it like a lot of others do, and despite being a fan, my affection for the series is pretty chalky. Plus my hype level for KH3 is incredibly low.

If I had to list my favorite characters...Aqua, of course. Next would be...Um...probably Sora, mostly for his design, artistically and as a character. I like to see a well-done driven, upbeat protagonist that has a vast array of emotions and isn't annoying, never really dwelling on being unlikable in one specific way, and Sora nails this pretty well. I don't know who'd be after that, it's not something I give too much thought, but those two are definitely my favorites in that order.

As for games I want to play...3D (largely because The World Ends With You). Unlike any of the others, 3D is the only one I have no method of currently playing without shelling out a good deal of money. Apart from being gradually harder to find, it's price never drops and it isn't digitally available, making it a difficult purchase and a hard find. I'm patient, though, and I'll wait as long as I need to to get it.

Oh, wow, thanks.

Hm...I'll have to find something to sell to cover the cost, though...I'll see what I can do.

EDIT: DAH, wait, dammit...Hyperdimension Neptunia Re;birth 2 comes out on June 2nd for $15 (since it launches half off). I might just have to hold over for that.

And then there's the Summer Sale...ehhhhhhhhh.

Video game talk is pretty good. I've a lot of friends that are interested in game design academically (and study it full time), and mostly because of that I consume an unhealthy amount of gaming podcasts, articles and let's plays on a daily basis. So in theory I should have plenty of good input ready.

The only issue in practice is how few games I've actually played. That stuff wasn't on my radar growing up, and I've missed out on a lot. Thusly, KH to me is "that RPG series with Disney characters".

...I wasn't interested in the Disney movies either as a kid, so I guess I missed out doubly.

That just means "situation normal, all psyducked up". :v
Heh. Well, in this case it's an anime with characters I find incredibly relatable.
