Lemme think...you're probably fully updated, so...hm...Ninjhax is probably you're only option, so Cubic Ninja. Screw that noise, though, 'cause unless you find it secondhand (which you very well could) it can be pretty expensive.

If, you happen to still be on 10.5, though, you can use the browser and go browserhax. This page basically keeps a list of all the currently working exploits. And if you are on 10.6, just play the waiting game. They'll find a new exploit (probably free), you'll be able to install the Homebrew launcher (which is painless and safe), use HANS, and run hacks and Out-of-Region cards.

>wanting games as the devs intended

Are you some sort of ****lord or something?

Lol yeah, I've sadly gone to the purist camp. From the changes I saw they might as well have MTed the darn thing. Like really taking out character development for shallow jokes?

Oh cool, I've been thinking about playing that game for a while. Dynasty Warriors/Samurai Warriors, but I kinda wrote off the spin-offs, mostly. But I hear 3, at least, is pretty solid. Interested in seeing how they tell the story.

Playing BD. Been in this God forsaken desert for...I dunno. 3 hours? 4 hours? Dunno how many levels I've gained. I do know that nobody on my friends list has gone above level 5 of Freelancer or Monk but I did, so...I mean...I guess that's an achievement. Maybe. But that's only because there was no point.

I'm still at the beginning of this game.

In this same desert. Steps away from town.

Fighting these damn sandworms, ghosts, and Poison vipers, with the very occasional Cait Siths and Sabertooths. 100% Encounter Rate.

But why? Why don't I leave?

Like, the tower's right over there. I could just go.

But I'm still here.

I'M STILL HERE.

There's really no reason to level up freelancer early game. Why are you still there? You're still in chapter one out of seven.

Have you done the Harena side quests?

I'm not far enough to have sidequests yet.

I'M NOT FAR ENOUGH TO HAVE ANYTHING YET. Your guess as to why I'm here is as good as mine.

Level 25 now. Level 8 Monk and Freelancer for the respective Edea and Agnes. And yeah, there's no functional reason for why I'm leveling Freelancer, really. I've asked myself why a dozen times, but really, considering how the other classes that I have make her look, probably gonna Freelance Agnes for a good while.

Ew. Tidus a gross, Tidus a shit.

Well see, that's the thing. I went in thinking "Oh boy, I'll turn off all random encounters and have a blast of a time!"

Then I was like, "but jobs, though. And monster design."

So then I turned encounters to 100% AND NOW I CAN'T STOP. Which is funny, because I think that grinding is one of the worst and most mishandled ideas in game design. So why am I doing it?

I dunno. 'Cause the reward model compels me to, I suppose. I mean, I could go forward and actually play the game, but in-universe, Norende's being built up like it's nobody's goddamn business.

Now I'm quite fond of Edea's twintails.

And the story right now's not really compelling or the characters that developed or interesting, so the game's got me in this trap where if I move forward, I'm liable to lose all of that. Especially Edea's Twintails.

God I hope Pokemon gets one straight to the face. Save for XY and, debatably, Gen 3(which, in both cases, is a stretch), they've never made grinding easy or fun.

In their micro/macromanagment creature-fighting RPG.

Why do I still play these games

I mean, so often lately have I wondered why Pokemon never really introduces new ideas. Concepts, I mean. They don't have to change things, just...think. Like, the series has been hinging on the same ideas since Generation 2, and we've been experiencing facelifts ever since. And nobody really brings this up, either. They talk about how the games are mostly the same and, my favorite line for a lot of reasons, "if it ain't broke, don't fix it", but they never talk about how we're still using the Pokegear...and nothing else. Bike's still here, phone's still here, and, um...bag. And we get unique little contraptions from time to time, but mostly these are temporarily tacked on to old ideas and then dropped next generation.

I've seen their Poker Horse Racing and Harmoknight, GF has good ideas. So use them. Carve your Pokemon world. You have the technology. You have the power.
