I'm loving that reimagined Blastoise design. So good. So stronk. And it helps that Blastoise was my fully evolved starter in Gen 1.

And I'm breathing heavily after a mouthful of what i just said in VG DCC..

I mean... I certainly don't see the connection between those designs and Pokémon's "more recent creature design standards". They don't evoke the feel of the modern generations as much as they just feel like regular remixes with nods to the English names and elements of mega evolutions incorporated where applicable.

The ideas are certainly cool, though. I like this take on the Bulbasaur line.

That's pretty much what I take them for, just neat little redesigns with some nice ideas behind them. I don't put a particular amount of stock in the newer designs, anyway, and am quite the fan of the simpler looking first gens in a lot of cases.

I mean, Espurr for life, but y'know.
