Well, we know his power is different from other Logia's shown so far. He can't become darkness itself, and nullifies other DF abilities. But who knows, I originally thought he was gonna to actually eat Whitebeard. :P

No, he released it on accident so to say because everyone around him was being killed despite the Marines already accomplishing their job. Then Akainu attacks him and Shanks shows up and saves him. Yeah, I think it's obvious that Coby will become to Luffy what Garp was to Roger.

Well, like I said, hopefully next time he appears they'll explaine a bit more about his powers. I thought BlackBeard was going to take WhiteBeards body as a hostage for some reason =/

Garp is the one who has been training Coby so maybe that had something to do with his radically new look.

A lot people of people had an impact on Luffy during his childhood. That's why I'm eager to get to the flashback arc in the anime. lol, but Garp wanted Luffy and Ace to become Marines so I'm not sure how much of Garp's training really affected Luffy in the first place.

Awe man a flashback episode into Luffys past, I mean we saw how Shanks affected his life and every thing. We even saw how Ace became Luffy's step brother, however yah I'd like to see when Luffy decided to become a pirate and how escaped his gramps, that'd be so epic I bet.

I'm not really one for flashback episodes, unless they're new flashbacks that haven't been shown before. The last one I saw was a little bit in the Enies Lobby arc and the whole time when watching them I was thinking "Man, I've seen all this crap before". So I essentially skipped them all, since I don't like seeing boring how-they-became-pirates again and again.

All of the character flashbacks have been pretty emotional since all of them seem to have a sad past. I wouldn't say it's the same how they became pirates, but more of why they became one. I enjoyed most of them really. Up until this point in the anime, Luffy is the one we know least of. Yes, we know Shanks had a big affect on him, and gave him his trademark strawhat, but that's about it. The upcoming episodes will show how Luffy and Ace became brothers in the first place. Though the repeated short flashbacks just to stretch episodes are rather annoying, lol.

It'll also introduce the third brother, and also gives some insight on Dragon as well.

Well, if he and his father meet it'd be great if he heard about his mother from him. Do you think Luffy and Dragon will meet during these time skip episodes? I'd love that.

This weeks chapter is out and it was fun like you were hopping, or at least I thought so. This saga has really been amazing so far and it looks like

The gang might take a little side trip, maybe the Mermaid Princess going with them? She said she always wanted to. Question is, will she end up joining the gang in the end? Odds are seeming possible each chapter as we go. Again, really liked the interaction between Luffy and the Mermaid Princess, I was hopping they'd head off together alone but Brook interrupted them, darn. HAHA I think I'm starting to become a shipper of themXD I think its obvious now who Luffy will be fighting in the end, they often give out big hints LOL. Now I think the gang is coming together again, all we need is Franky and Robin and we got it. Seems to me, Usopp really hasn't changed cuz he still wants to run away in battles, I really hopped that part of him did change cuz it always annoyed me. I did love Usopp's comical side but him being a chicken 24 % of the time well. Than you have Nami being selfish again and caring only about gold and money. I wonder if Zoro will get lost some time like he did in the past? I loved his comments about why they should listen to the hostage LOL Still hasn't lost his sense of humor.

So over all, yah fun chapter! Can't wait for next weeks, than we get to should see the entire gang together again. I can't wait for

Sanji's reaction to Luffy being friends with the Mermaid Princess already. As it is, I want to see his reaction to Hancock being in love with Luffy tooXD

It seems like the Princess will be sticking around for awhile at the very least. It also seems like Luffy and the gang are gonna encounter Jinbei pretty soon since the place the mermaid wants to go is the same place Jinbei mentioned in the letter. The letter also warned Luffy not to fight Hodi. While I doubt he's on Luffy's level, I think it may be Jinbei protecting one of his former crew members; just a guess. Zoro also got a slight bounty raise.

Chopper's new Kung-Fu point looked kinda lame honestly. :laugh: Hoping we get to see others go all out soon.

Its the Robin arc, where Luffy sneaks in first and takes on the entire army alone with the others following a bit later. I'm hopping Luffy and the Princess will be alone for a couple of chapters, don't know what would happen though. And oh yah for I'm sure Luffy will get over that, same thing happened with Coby, he was a cry baby and look at him now. Difference is, I'm sure Princess will fall for him at the end, now Coby blushes at times over Luffy but he just admires him a lot :P
