[OOC] A new Start. (Pokemon Journey)

Pokemon... many lives used to revolve around these beautiful creatures. But like most things, interests begin to fade, and pokemon became a thing of the past. Trainers, Co-ordinators, Breeders, even professors have died out. Most people now work in cubicles, typing useless papers about money, and some people work at [COLOR=blue !important][COLOR=blue !important]stores[/COLOR][/COLOR], selling useless stuff that will end up not becoming a trend. It doesn't really matter where the people work, it just shows that a lot of people don't care about Pokemon anymore.​

Story-
Professor Cherry, a young rebel woman, has built her own Lab in the Kanto Region, the only region that still shows little signs of interest in Pokemon. She is looking for young kids interested in trying to rebuild the "trainer population".​

There has been reports of 8 veteran pokemon masters hidden around the Kanto area. Each one holds a badge that will be given to the trainers that beat them. When the trainers receive 8 badges they will be able to enter a secret battle tournament.​

Your Mission-
Your mission is two capture all 8 badges and win the [COLOR=blue !important][COLOR=blue !important]Tournament[/COLOR][/COLOR].
Of course, it isn't going to be an easy task. There will be harsh weather, rude people, and intense battles. But in the end it will all be worth it.
Along the way you will try and advertise trainers, hopping to get more people interested in pokemon again. The more you [COLOR=blue !important][COLOR=blue !important]advertise[/COLOR][/COLOR] the more popular you get, which means more people will be rooting for you in the tournament!​

Bad Guys-​

Anti Trainers:
The Anti Trainers are a group of people totally against the act of training and battling pokemon. Anti-trainers will steal your pokemon(and set them free.. or so they say) and anything related to them, SO WATCH OUT! Their hobbies include; Making large signs about trainers and standing outside of random houses chanting about how bad trainers are.​

Team Solar-
Team Solar is a small organization of men and women who are interested in making a trainer's life living hell. They, also like the Anti Trainers, like to steal pokemon. But instead of setting them free, they attach a small [COLOR=blue !important][COLOR=blue !important]device[/COLOR][/COLOR] to the body of the pokemon causing them to become unbelievably powerful and mean.​

Starter Pokemon (Tell me which Starter Pokemon you would like to have, the starter must be available)​

This role play will be in Chapter Form, meaning I will post a chapter at the beginning of the week and you will make a post according to that chapter... kinda like a story. Each person will have to write nice post (more then 3 paragraphs most of the time). Your reward for writing nice post will be your pokemon gaining experience. Sometimes though, you might get an even bigger award(but that's a surprise!!)​

There will not be any interaction with other role players unless I say so. But don't worry, there will be some interaction at least twice in this role play!​

Okay so answer timeeee! (Please bare with me, I am on a freakin' dinosaur labtop that has no spell check... and I'm too lazy to search at the moment. )

But sadly no, I will just be the GM for now. I like the idea of a free roleplay, I will let you guys make up dialect for NPC and Professor. :)

And as for battling other trainers, each trainer will have a rival that is also from Professor Cherry's lab. But, they will be other trainers along the way.. and I will explain lataaaa.

Hehe, and I love how both of y'all changed the girlies' names. It is all good though. & Miss D(can i call you that?) if you do have make a hip-hop diva she better have an afro!! :3 Haha, just kidding.

Pony... I'm adding a couple of hobbies to Ristel's SU, if that's alright. It came to me this morning, that he's so bland now. I want him to be an artistic soul~ so he'll carry around his sketchbook wherever he goes, trying to sketch 'em all! Just like Tracey Sketchit ;D

And he'll probably have a harmonica as well. Tell me if that's not ok, but I can't really imagine why it wouldn't be. Tehee~ I will probably write the chapter up tonight, because I don't think I have time during the day.

Also... do you like the idea of making trainer cards for me to use? I mean, I can't make them(I have no artistic talent... at all) but I'm sure we can find someone/somewhere that can. I think it would be a nice way to overview other trainer's team. I did not come up with this idea, I'm pretty sure that the A new Professor in town role play did. ^-^

There are a lot of free trainer card creators on the web that we can use. Just google it :3 I'd love to make one.

Ahhh, that's what I thought, but I wasn't for sure. :)

So if anyone wants to make a trainer card feel free too! I will post it to the front of the page. I am also in the process of making the info thingy for each trainer.

Here is a trainer card. There really wasn't any sprite that resembled Ristel xD So Volkner's sprite is there now just because that was the only bright haired one, lol.

As for the badge holders, I was planning on them being old, well known pokemon figures (gym leaders, ect ect.) Maybe from other regions beside Kanto. ^_^

How about pokémon centers and pokémarts though? Since people aren't training pokémon anymore. Do they exist or do we have to find other people and places to more secretively buy pokéballs and potions and stuff from?

Yes, Pokemon centers & marts do not exist. Each town has a "pit stop" where the trainers will be able to rest. I will go into more details when we get to Viridian City. I was also thinking about the pokedex having apps. & One of the apps being heal your pokemon. But I'm not for sure.

Oh and Yagerbomb canceled his reservation... so that means that there is A SPOT OPEN.
