OP preview instead of last post.

I don't quite understand why this was switched to this.

I find it a lot more helpful to be able to see a preview of the OP because sometimes the thread title is a little vague and being able to see a sneak peak of what the thread is about is very helpful.

I do agree, as it seems more useful and intuitive. However, there is a feature called "thread excerpt" that can be edited in the new UI on each thread. There you can summarize what your thread is about, in a smaller and less eye-catching way than just giving it a long title. If we started encouraging using it when New PC goes live to public, it would be fine (and possibly feel more useful) to have previews of the last post instead.

However, for that to happen, I think the exerpt would have to be something you fill in upon thread creation, otherwise it'll be too hidden a function to actually get used. Same with thread icon, really.

I would love the OP preview instead, myself.

I always go to read the description out of habit, and I'm weirded out by the last post sometimes sounding random or off topic. lol

Somebody somewhere suggested that the preview displayed could be the last post, while upon hovering the mouse pointer on a computer you would see the first line of the OP like before. I liked that idea :)
