I have found that many people use hacking tools or RPG Maker XP to make games. What im searching for is a C++ sourcecode of a pokemon fan game. I have found Pokenet which is open source but is written in Java.
    Is there any in C++?
Btw, please dont ask me why i dont use game makers. My game is in 3d and those drag and drop tools are limited.
Also, i know C++. Please dont ask me why i dont write it myself. That question is something like "why dont you write your own game engine instead of using a ready one".
And finally, im searching a sourcecode of 2d pokemon fan game. Im just interested in the battle system code, some classes, not the graphics code.
PS. Aegis please dont close this thread after 2 replies.

I'm not sure you'll have much luck in your search. To my knowledge, there hasn't been any C++ projects that have ever managed to get off of the ground. The chances of the source code being anywhere near complete, let alone free for the taking, is slim-to-none.

To further broaden what T3h Kaiser said, nothing outside of RPG Maker and Game Maker projects have even gotten to a playable level (that can actually be proven through of a demo or something).

But here, let me ask you a few questions. Instead of trying to program these systems yourself, why are you looking for open source scripts? Do you want to actually just cut down on dev time, or are you too lazy to try and make them?

By the way, your comment about drag and drop systems is utter garbage. Game Maker has a decent 3D engine now, and the limits of them are quite easy to overcome (as can be witnessed by Protectors).

Then ill ask you a question too: Is my post confusing or are You too lazy to read it?
    As i said:

I said game makers, not Game Maker. By game makers i ment drag and drop tools.
Also, you can try to stay a bit more polite.
    Thanks for the help.
PS. I wouldnt call C++ code a script.

You could always examine the scripts in the Pokémon Essentials starter kit. Although it's written in Ruby, it shouldn't be too hard to replicate it in C++.

"Drag and drop tools are garbage"- you know these days pretty much all professional tools have drag and drop features. Engines like Source and Unreal Engine all have "drag and drop features."

RPG MAKER 2003 and earlier versions are limited without scripts (although mods allow for importing of scripts with pretty much each of the old versions).

RMXP can be pretty powerful thanks to ruby.
Sphere is another one you might want to check out and it uses javascript.
Most gaming engines use this- such as Unity and DXStudio- but use their own "versions" of the language- but are pretty close.

The RPG Maker series can't handle 3D graphics in the sense of creating a 3D space with 3 axis.
    I don't know about sphere.

DXStudio is free I think and you should check that out for 3D game making.

Oh I'm sorry. "Limited." I'll be ever so careful next time.
    [/sarcasm]
I wasn't quoting you directly. If I was going to, I would of shown it in the post.
After giving you advice, there is no need for you to neat pick what I said. Take it on board.

"Limited" and "garbage" are pretty different, sir [/sarcasm]

Then you werent quoting anyone in this topic.

Thanks for the advice. Wait, what advice?

    Uh...

    I'd consider that advice.
I havent asked for a 3d engine. And i havent asked for sarcasm as well.
I Have mentioned that im not after graphics code. I know he wanted to help but he quoted me wrong and misunderstood what i wanted. So i just replied to say i havent told such a thing. After that he started sarcasming. Thats it.
The whole problem is that you people dont read the whole topic before judging or replying.
Considering the eccentric nature of your thread itself, you sure are acting a bit snappy.
    Eccentric?
Thats just what you think . The Pokenet is open source under the GPL licence, but its written in Java. So what im asking for isnt unusual or impossible. Which means what you say isnt quite true. Here: https://www.pokedev.org

If you want help, I'd suggest you chillax and take what you get.

Yes, i want help. Please help me only if you can.
Edit: Mods, close this topic. Im just wasting my time here.
    Thank you
