Other Pallet Town trainers?

Did ash ever meet up with any of the trainers that started the same day he did?

Ummmm....Gary? I think we never saw them. the only time we even hear about them is when oak tells ash about why he can't have squirtle, bulbasaur or charmander. Hmmmmm...is it just me, or are they beginning to look a bit like plot devices?

I remember in one episode Prof. Oak mentions that Gary & Ash are the two top trainers and that the other ones had turned back/plain not done well.

He met Gary and he started out on the same day. Of course, I believe that it shouldn't matter anymore seeing as they haven't been mentioned since way back in Kanto.

Hello there. The only trainer he caught up to was Gary which started out with a Squirtle.

There is the possibility of Leaf(Blue) who got either the Bulbasaur or Charmander. Would have been the perfect opportunity to bring her in around the time FR/LG was released but they decided instead to give May a Gen1 starter. Later on another one.

Pretty funny that the Bulbasaur and Squirtle May got both evolved while Ash's didn't.

You know, it would be really funny if half-way through Diamond/Pearl saga, Ash meets up with one of the trainers in Pallet town 'who turned back from his journey' and he asks the trainer about their team of Pokemon...
And their Pokemon turned out to be waaay stronger than Ash's.

Either that or the remaining trainers are still battling in the Battle Frontier or fell off a cliff. XD

In Episode 4, Samurai mentions fighting against the other trainers.

I'm pretty sure the "Pallet Trainers" were mentioned a few times in the first twenty episodes or so.

It was said that they all either gave up or just didnt do well. But since Gary started out with Squirtle, I think that two others are still floating around....

Where does Richie come in? He's from Kanto. Where did his adventure start?

He suspiciously also has a Charmander, and Butterfree.

Is it possible he is one of the Pallet Trainers?

When is the last time we even heard about those Pallet trainers? Yeah, I'm still very out dated. But I'm pretty sure that they havn't been mentioned. They've probably been forgotten about.

The last time the other trainers where shortly mentioned was when Ash got back to Pallet Town after having collected 8 badges for the Indigo League.
Where those trainers ever mentioned by name by the way?

actually i thnk that the trainer from silver and gold was mentioned once. o and i know they encounter the rival in diamond and pearl later in the show from the japanese version( america is about 20 episodes from that)
