Yh I'm embarished to play pokemon, I play it at school I play it at home I play it every where, but just can't stand if some one asks me what I'm playing. I just wave my hands a say something stupid, like Woohohooohoo, then walk off. If half the people at my school found out I played pokemon I'de be shunned for the rest of my time there. Although I have some friends that play it aswell so...... Also I feel the pressure at my age (14) isthe worst of all many older people I know still play, including my brother(20).

I'm 14. I never hid it until I was 12 (when I myself thought i was growing out of it). And now I'm slowly coming back out of it. Hey, one of my friends last years said he spent the weekend playing pokemon on the computer. People laughed, but they never teased him or even look at him like he was a moron. I think coming out of the poke closet shouldn't be to hard on me. (So far, i've taken my pokemon figurines out of that box, and put them around the room- my first step)

I'm 17 now, I've always loved Pokemon, nothing's ever stopped me from buying the games, I proudly use my Pokemon Platinum wallet from the day I got it with the game, having pre-ordered it.
My girlfriend thinks I'm sad, but she thinks nothing less of me, and I don't ditch her for it (too much anyway :P).

Nahh I all seriousness, LOADS of people know I play Pokemon, it's nothing new to anybody anymore, funnily enough it's starting top become a bit trendy again! I have 20 year old friends who still play it, I think nothing less of them, unless they don't trade me a shiny, haha.

I wear my Pokewalker to College, I wear my Pokewalker when I go out. WHO CARES? It's your life at the end of the day, if somebody's going to judge you over a game, then they quite frankly need to sort their own lives out!

Not that I expect to, but I hope it's made you think.. Who're you REALLY going to lose....? THE LOSERS.

I'm in my mid-late twenties, and I have no shame in announcing to others that I play Pokemon. Only person to give me a hard time about it is the doctor in the campus health center, but I don't aim to impress her. I see her when I break out in hives.

But my friends are accepting of my Pokemon hobby. I have nothing to hide (well, besides my Blue/Leaf fetish, lol)

My mum knows I like pokemon I told my dad I dont like it no more and also my brothers (all around early twenties...) dont know... though they still say to be everytime they see me "Pikachu!" Which is annoying :\... Some people from my primary school told some people I played it in school and somtimes theres the odd mention in high school of "Oh, my, god Harvey, I remember in primary school when you loved pokeyman! You used to bring your gameboy advence SP in and trade cards!"... xD, though its just one of my friends (Evil little B*/%@) so dont worry...!

Pokemon is a bittersweet thing. I love Pokemon. It is one of the biggest parts of my life. My Pokemon history starts back to when I was 4. I saw a Pokemon coloring book in a gymnasium. I picked up and saw my first Pokemon. A Metapod in front of a large picture of Viridian Forest. I enjoyed Pokemon alot. When I was in grade school, I didn't have many friends, but I could always go home, turn on my gameboy, and play with my friends Cyndaquil and Charmander. Those pixel images were my friends. And I like to think now that those are Satoshi's friends too. When he was a kid, he did not have many friends, and turned to bugs and video games. I hope he knows that what he did to me is very important. If Satoshi Tajiri is reading this right now I just want to say one thing: Thank You. Thank you for the joy you brought into my life when nobody else did. I am 13 and in the 9th grade. I have no "real" friends, but I do have a Charmander. And that is good enough. So Thank You Satoshi, Thank you very much.

also I've been playing Pokemon since I was 5 on Blue version. :3 I play my DS AND Gameboy Color during class, bring my Pokewalker, and wear a Pikachu necklace and a Meowth keychain. Everyone knows I love Pokemon and it's awesome because people trade with you if they know they can ask to. o.o

You only live once, you have to enjoy the things you love while you can. There's nothing wrong with playing Pokemon, a lot of people appreciate the nostalgia.
I'm proud to be my Pokemon playing/anime watching/history geeking self. I think I'm a hell of a lot more interesting than most people. :]

well it feels to me like 14 is the age you have to hide it the most- cuz you know.. everyone is going through the "bodily changes" and the hormone levels are of the charts- so i just hide it as much as i can
