    ---

    It came.

Stealthy and dark, it lurked undetected in the shadows for what could have been eons. We all wish we could have prevented it… or at least foreseen its arrival. Not one of us knew it was a threat. None of us even knew it existed. It managed to evade the sight of gods. Even now we know not of its origin, nor its creator and nor its true identity. However, we all are fully aware of its intentions.

A parasite of destruction, designed to consume even the most powerful of beings and whittle away their wills… An elusive plague to the world… It feeds on darkness, despair, chaos, destruction, and loss. We know not why; we merely know how, for it has taken one of our own. The God of all Gods, the Almighty Creator, He who was born from darkness itself… It, the Parasite, has already chosen its target. It, the Parasite, has already obtained its Host.

    Arceus.

We are now left powerless against it. Ancient law of our kind prohibits us from causing harm to our one and only true Leader, whether He be imprisoned by darkness or not. It would be an impossible task for us alone anyways; the Parasite which has taken control of our grand leader may be even more powerful than He. We cannot rid Him of this plague, either, for It would not allow us to try. In the past we have locked away many powerful forces that challenged us, though we would not dare to disgrace our Creator by leaving him to rot, slowly being consumed by this Parasite.

Every passing moment we dread it. We can do little more than watch helplessly as our Leader fades away. Even as we give you this message, He grows weaker and It grows stronger. It is only a matter of time before Arceus is no more, and the Parasite takes His place. Not even we can predict what horrors that would bring. Perhaps it would destroy us, or you, or both. Perhaps it would destroy this world we call home. Or perhaps it would simply shatter reality itself, armed with the abilities of our Master. The main point is, if It manages to consume Arceus, it may as well have consumed the Universe. We cannot allow this to reach that point.

And so, we have called upon You.

You are a human. Perhaps a trainer, perhaps a researcher, or simply a friend to the Pokémon Mew blessed this world with. Regardless of your beliefs, origin, or ideas, we have called you. We, the Legendaries… the Gods, require your aid.

We are all growing weak ourselves. The Parasite has not only sapped Arceus' strength, but our own. Alone, we have no chance of stopping it… But, with the help of a human, perhaps we could succeed. While we cannot challenge Arceus (and the Parasite itself), according to sacred laws and oaths, a human can, even if that human were to be guided and assisted by one of us. We believe that if Arceus can be defeated in battle, the Parasite will weaken, allowing an opportunity to put an end to its reign…

With our weakened abilities, we cannot transport you to our lair, the Creation Dimension atop Mt.Coronet. However, we can get you and the others we have contacted to Lake Verity in Sinnoh, together. One of us will be a guide for each individual, connecting ourselves to your mind and communicating telepathically to show you your way. Of course, you must work together with the other 'Chosen Ones', so to speak. The Parasite will not be brought down by many individuals, but by one team. Humans, Pokémon, and Legendaries alike must now unite for this one purpose.

    We all await your arrival…

    *~*~*~*~*

One of the Legendaries has called out to you, asking for your help.
Which Legend was it that came to you?
This Legend will be your Guardian, and they will be with you on every step of this journey.
    Speaking softly…
    … whispering in your mind…
Waiting for you to arrive at the Creation Dimension,
so that the two of you can fight together for the fate of the world.

    *~*~*~*~*

The original version of this RP was started (by me) back in 2007, and it ended up living for a while before dying right about at the end. I've wanted to start a 'new' RP for a while now, and I've even received a PM suggesting that I restart this specific one. So, after a while I figured… now I just might be up for it again. So, here goes…

    *~*~*~*~*

    HOW THE GUARDIANS WORK
Your Guardian legend is like a telepathic voice in the back of your mind. They are not actually there, so don't go through the RPG posting that your legend, say, Ho-oh, is flying you to the Creation Dimension or anything like that. Due to the events in the storyline, the legends are too weak / too busy tending to Arceus to actually come to you and follow along with you. 'Sides it'd defeat the purpose of it all if you just had a Rayquaza to fly you around and destroy things with Hyper Beam. You also can't have your legendaries use other powers that don't require them to actually be there with your trainer to reverse everything (ie. Celebi travelling back in time to prevent it from every happening; Jirachi granting a wish to destroy the Parasite, etc). The plot-related reasoning for this will be that they're too weakened to use such extreme powers now. The main reasoning for this is, again, that it'd suck all the fun outta the RP.

The Guardians are mainly there to tell you things like where you should be going, what dangers may lay ahead, and so on. Feel free to do pretty much whatever you want with their speech, so long as it fits with the plot of course, and give them just as much personality as your main character. They are equally important, after all. Don't abuse their abilities and have your legend constantly predicting some kind of extreme trouble (or the absence of trouble for that matter), or have them say you're near your destination when geographically the group should be farther away. Their purpose is to keep the plot moving, not to twist and turn and alter it just for the sake of doing so.

Latios and Latias serve sort of as two guardians in one, both communicating with your character using the same 'mind link' that the rest of the Guardians have. Legendaries that are NOT allowed as Guardians are Articuno, Zapdos, Moltres, Suicune, Entei, Raikou, Regice, Regirock, Registeel, Uxie, Mesprit, Azelf, Regigigas, Heatran, and of course Arceus. These Legendaries are either in the Creation Dimension watching Arceus or already 'corrupted' themselves. Some of them will probably end up appearing as the group reaches their destination. Mewtwo and Deoxys are not considered Legendaries in this RP, nor are Rotom and Phione. Also keep in mind that your Guardian can only speak to your character; they cannot, say, tell something to another character they don't have a mind-link with, or share something with the group. So if it's necessary for your Guardian to spread information to someone besides your character, your character will have to pass it on verbally.

    THE JOURNEY
The RP begins at Lake Verity and ends at the Creation Dimension (Mt.Coronet). After the group reaches its destination they will finally meet their Guardian Legendaries and fight alongside them in a chaotic battle against the corrupted Arceus. There is of course an established path to get there, the one the games use, but nothing is stopping the group from deciding, "Hey, we can actually just cut through these trees here and take a shortcut…"

However, these 'shortcuts' are plagued with more dangers than the standard route. On the outskirts of the towns and Routes lurk 'Parasitic' Pokémon. These are basically mindless, zombie-like wild Pokémon that the Parasite has corrupted and uses as soldiers, controlling them directly and basically sending them out to kill you. They are recognizable by their dark, empty eyes and odd behavior. Parasitic Pokémon do not respond to pain, and attack mercilessly. They will fight in an extremely violent manner; they aren't trying to have a friendly competitive battle, they're actually trying to murder you and your Pokémon. Even more frightening, they will not stop fighting until they are either dead or physically incapable of going on. That means you'll have to beat them harder than your average enemy, possibly even kill them. The other means of beating them is… well, capturing them. The Parasite loses its control over the Pokémon when they are converted to plain energy in a Pokeball, meaning if you capture a Parasitic 'Mon it'll go back to normal. Of course you'll need an open spot in your team to actually use it. The group isn't likely to spend a lot of its time in towns, and thus you probably aren't going to be able to access a PC.

As they grow nearer to Mt.Coronet they will face more threats. The mountain itself is infested with Parasitic Pokémon, and they patrol its exterior constantly. Perhaps a few of the Legendaries themselves are Parasitic Pokémon at this point… Of course, this is why the Legendaries have sent a large group of people rather than just a few.

    *~*~*~*~*

    RULES/GUIDELINES
    • Make sure you've read the main rules for the RP Forum, of course.
    • You can have up to two characters in this RP, though it's sort of recommended that you just have one, as other people may want the extra Legendary Pokémon a pair of characters will take up.
    • Your character can have any Pokémon, so long as it isn't Legendary (Mewtwo, Deoxys, and Phione are also not allowed). They can have a maximum of six. Their Guardian does not count as a member of their party.
    • Minimal swearing, mature content, and blood are allowed, so long as it's kept PG-13.
    • Keep your posts at a reasonable length; two paragraphs minimum, preferably. Shorter posts are acceptable if your post is simply character interaction that requires you to wait on another person's response, but aside from that… yeah. You'll be kicked from the RP if I spot a third instance of shorter-than-acceptable posts. I'm not asking to write an essay (RP posts longer than a page actually make me go TL;DR), but I am asking to put in a bit of effort.
    • Use good grammar, of course. The only thing more annoying than ridiculously short posts is Ppl Who Talk Like Dis Ya No Liek Lol!!!!!1!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
    • Godmoding and Bunnying are not allowed. Obviously. On that note, do not try to draw too much attention to your character at any given time.
    • There aren't levels and move-limits and such for your Pokémon in this RP; be reasonable, but don't worry about restricting yourself to four moves and a two-digit number.
    • You are perfectly allowed to alter the setting as you see fit. If you want it to be raining, have it start raining in your post. If you think things are getting boring and want to have the group be attacked, go ahead. Just don't abuse this or use it in a way that doesn't fit the RP.
    • Please try to remain active. I don't mind the RP moving along at a leisurely pace; I actually prefer it that was as it'll last longer that way and prevent people from getting left behind. But if you disappear for a week or two and we're all waiting on you to post, either you're getting kicked or left behind.
    • Try to avoid situations in which the whole RP (or at least the progress of your character) hinges on waiting for another person to post. Dialogue and interaction and all is fine, but if we get snagged in a situation where one person has to post or nobody can move on, the RP runs a risk of dying simply because people get bored waiting around. If there is such a situation, and the person being waited on isn't posting for a while, we will find a way to skip around that person. Yes, it is rather rude, but it preserves the RP's lifespan a little better. I've seen plenty of RPs die because a few people just wouldn't post.
    • Keep in mind that Sign-Ups will be… somewhat strict. If your SU general doesn't show you're up for it you will be declined. I'll offer advice and tell you how to fix it up, but after a third decline you will not be allowed to join in.
    • Once all Legendaries are claimed, Sign-Ups will be closed. Until then, they will remain open. PM me if you want to join in after we've already started, but aren't sure how to get your character involved once the plot's already moving along.

    FINALLY, THE SIGN-UPS!
    (get ready; they're long)

    [Name:]
[Gender:] (Take an educated guess here.)
[Age:] (There's really no minimum or maximum here. Your character could be anywhere between five and a hundred, so long as you can explain why a Legendary Pokémon would choose such a young/old character to save the world…)
[Occupation:] (Is your charrie a trainer? Coordinator? Scientist? School Teacher? Whatever else you can come up with?)

[Personality:] (Think about your character's Guardian here. Darkrai's probably not going to choose a happy-go-lucky kid over a cold, serious person. Of course, irony can be fun if it's worked out right… :D)

[Description/Appearance:] (No "red shirt blue jeans black hair". That kinda stuff seriously drives me up a wall. Dx)

[History/Biography:] (Length depends on the character's age. Try to make it interesting enough that you can write enough about it.)

    [Other:]

    --
    POKÉMON
(Fill one of these out for each 'Mon your character owns. *'s denote Optional fields.)

    [*Nickname:]
    [Species:]
    [Gender:]
    [*Age:]

[*Physical Quirks:] (Anything odd about this Pokémon? Whether it's a necklace or an odd coloration pattern, put it here. Shinies are allowed, but it's one per trainer and they require a HECK of an SU. Those things are all over the place in RPs lately, but people seem to be forgetting that there's a one-in-eight-thousand chance of finding one… Dx Aside from that please avoid doing anything extreme. An Arcanine that's a darker shade of orange and has brown stripes is acceptable. A blue Pikachu with angel wings is going overboard.)

[Personality:] (This doesn't need to be too long; just a brief few sentences. Of course, feel free to elaborate as much as you want.)

[*History:] (How was this Pokémon obtained? What happened in its life, et cetera…)

    [*Other:]

    GUARDIAN

[*Name:] (The Legendaries can have names other than their species-names. Don't make it something like "Bob", of course, but you get the point. x3)
    [Species:]
[Gender:] (Come up with a supposed gender, just to simplify things so we don't go calling your char's Guardian "it" all the time.)

    [Personality:]

[*History:] (Not all Legendaries really seem to have a defined past or story behind them, though you're free to add one if you'd like.)

["Reasoning":] (Why did this Legendary choose to guide your character, among all the millions of people in the world? Was it some little peculiar reason? Did he just generally like your character as a person?)
    [Other:]

Since the RP has started now, I'm going to say that IF A LEGENDARY SPOT OPENS UP, YOU ARE NOT ALLOWED TO RESERVE FOR IT. First come, first served. Post your SU (at least parially filled out) if you really must "claim" before you actually finish it. This is kind of because how SUs have gone so far in this RP; lots of reservations were made a day or even a few hours before the completed SU (which defeats the purpose of reserving if you ask me) and lots of others just reserved and then vanished without a trace. So, yeah. Just get that SU up ASAP if you plan on joining in. Late-joiners will have to figure out how to jump into the RP on their own, though if you have any questions or need help with it feel free to PM me.

May I ask to reserve Mew? My SU should be up shortly. I understand your distaste for reservations, but I should be finished by later tonight unless something comes up, in which case I'll PM you.

    [Name:] Krellr Varomoar
    [Gender:] Male
    [Age:] 78
    [Occupation:] Mentor in any subject.
[Personality:] Krellr is a clam, paitent, wise old man who has seen his fair share of time. He likes to take things one step at a time and plan things out, just because he is running out of time doesn't mean that he can not be on Turtle speed(you know, like how those little toy cars with the fake batteries have the three speeds.) He likes to watch things, learn how things work, learn how people react. He is that kind of old guy who will start his conversation with you, get half way through, get distracted then ask you where he was at.

He is almost always injoyed by something novel, wether it be kids or something random. He is very straght to the point though, you will never find him beating around the bushes. Sometimes he can be found just watching clouds on a park bench, which is odd to some because its as if no one else was there. He is funny at times, cold most of the time, and very serious when it comes to getting the job done. At first you might just hate the man, but over time you will learn to love is wisdom.

But he is old, and like most old people, he is slower than sin. He likes to take his time, but when it is cold out you might as well just stop for a bit because he has to. Not his fault his leg got wounded, but now he has to rub it every once and a while to get rid of some pain. Get use to you young wipper snappers! He likes apples, strongly beliving that an apple away will keep the doctor away(he doesn't like the doctors these days,) Books, and pudding. He doenst like doctors, technology, some people, and prune juice for odd and obivous reasons.

[Description/Appearance:] Krellr may be old, but he is as fit as a wistle, some times he is seen in the early morning taking walks. Standing at 6 foot 2 inchs he a tall old guy. He has greying hair and a grey beard that goes down to his hips. His skin is tanned from working outside and many scars can be seen. With his ever present, ever watching blue eyes make him look like a bird of prey. His balding head leaves a penusula of hair in a sea of skin. Many frown lines are around his mouth and even when he smiles he looks as though he were frowning. His leg is his most proment and noticable charateristic, being that it is wounded and he must now use a cane, however when not using his cane he limbs around with one hand holding the wound. Cold and tiredness can sometimes set off pain in said leg, causing him to have to sit and rub it for a bit.

Although he stands with his back straght, he still uses an old Redwood cane to walk around with for his bad leg. He often wears red pants of WAY back when, things that look like Samuri pants, and a black T-shirt. Every once and a while he will pull out an old pipe of his just to chew on the end and think about things. He is never seen with out his Pokeball belt, many of which contain the few pokemon that he caught and cares for. And least I forget that he Always has a small notebook down to record someanything he needs to remember.

[History/Biography:] Long ago, much longer than many kids these days can even think of, owning a pokemon ment you had to go to one of those fancy smachy labs and get some 'High-Tech' pokeball. They didn't have pokedexes, every thing was written down, EVERY THING! During this time Krellr was born, and he liked it. Although many of other his age were always gawking over the newest thing, Krellr was always behind the times(exept the hippy age, he didn't even stop for that.) and he was okay with that, perfectly fine actully. He liked the old days, he liked the stories, he liked to think about the past more than the future.

From a young age he showed great potential, often showing it during studies when he would be writing some peice of fiction because he was done reading the book. He often left cryptic messages in the form of poems and riddles in random places, such as the bottom of his desk or on slips of paper. He liked to play game that challanged his inteligece, and thus found IQ tests fun. During this time period he got King, back then just a nidoran(male) and the two had a great many hours to time. In his later childhood years he had written a short story that was never puplished but it now resides in his personal libary at his house.

During the teen years Krellr did well in school but he didn't even try, rather he would not try and yet somehow did the great. This angered many people(except his parents) and soon he was an outcast, he didn't care. He liked this because it allowed him to see how people worked, how they thought, how they used their emotion. From this he learned a great many things, compliling all he knew about it into a notebook that also resides in his libary.

Later in life he joined the military and fought against the vile equivelents of these days Team Rocket, which in Krellr's veiw Team Rocket are panzies compared to what he fought. After a wound to the leg, causing him to need a cane for the rest of his life, although not even this slowed him from learning. He and his pokemon were sent to Armor(Tanks) anf from there they made a name for themselfs. It was here that he obtained Rook, at the time only a Rhyhorn, named so then because the brute of a pokemon could only run in straight lines for some unknown reason. By this time King was a Nidorino, and the trio were the best of friends.

After he was discharged due to his wounds, he got his teaching degree and taught in various places, teaching various subjects. He liked this life and thought of the great many things he could do. He wandered the two known regions at the time(Johto and Kanto) and learned more to teach. Long after returning to Kanto he found a moon stone and used it to finally turn King into the full blown thing, a Nidoking. Rook had evolved as well this making him a Rhydon and the three were a nigh but unstopable force that used a slightly altered Code of Chiverly as thier moral code, which lead to many loses in battles, but they didn't care as long as they had fun. After mankinds discovery of island nation of Hoenn he went there to learn more, here he begain the long jounrny to record every pokemon on paper and ink. His dislike of techlogy was the cause of this. He did the same after the discovery of the Orre and Fiore regions, where he begain to draw maps for the fun of it, later he returned to regions he had gone to prior to them and he drew maps for them as well, these hang up on the walls of his libary, or at least the walls that are not covered. His "Poke'dex" is still not complete.

After the discovery of this region(Sinnoh) Krellr decided to move to the quiet little town of TwinLeaf for retirement, this ment more wandering for him, but he like it. In his old age some have said he has gone crazy, others think that his wisdom is great advice, and few even belive he is sane. But no matter who belives what, Krellr is still paid by many for his wisdom in various fields. Later he wandered for a bit and in the progress Rook evolved once more, unkown how he went to the revered Professer Rowen who, though younger at that time, knew much about pokemon and explained how this Rhydon had evolved into a Rhyperior, now a common joke is that Rook has a Rapier(note this is a sword that sound like the name of the pokemon.)

As well on his journeys of Sinnoh he collected a rather head strong pokemon whom he called Knight, the young Empoleon(now, its been some time) often seeks wisdom from the older pokemon, and a even younger pokemon a little over a decade ago that he named Bishop, a Zangoose who acted more like a priest than a fighter and tried to talk its comrades into a peace with their arch enemy, Seviper. After seeing these two Krellr knew that they could be strong assets to have and offered them to work with him. When they both joined he was happy(note he was like 50 and 64 when he got these) and they begain working in his personal libary as aids for him. All of his pokemon have contributed to the libary in some way, ether by some sort of essay or just rearangeing them to fit the old Dewey Decimal System hat Krellr much liked better than these new computer based systems. As well, because he is getting older and his pokemon are stronger, the younger ones often go out and to the shoping for him, while the older ones are seen as sages to them.

    [Other:]

The guy is as old as the DIRT your walking on, give him time, he is slow.

    POKÉMON

    [*Nickname:] King
    [Species:] Ninoking
    [Gender:] Male(duh)
    [*Age:] 76

[*Physical Quirks:] over time King's skin has turned a more darker shade of purple.

[Personality:] Nearly a pokemon version of its owner, which has lead to some long Chess games, King is the brute of Krellr's pokemon. He is very gentle though, and has learned to control his power.
[*History:] The first pokemon Krellr ever got, this pokemon has followed him into battle and saved its masters skin more than once. Often King will help with issueing orders to the other pokemon.

He earned his name after he beat Krellr in a game of chess, with only his king.

    ---

    [*Nickname:] Rook
    [Species:] Rhyperior
    [Gender:] Female
    [*Age:] 65

[Personality:] A long range specialist, Rook likes to use distance over close combat. He shows this by his mastery of shooting rocks. He is never seen without a pouch of rocks with him.

[*History:] Rook is the loveable brute of the group, he was first obtained because he was in the way of Krellr's tank, and after finding no other way of getting around the herd, the entire armor company caught one to get them out of the way. Afterwards this was found greatly funny because their company got the nickname: Rhyhorn Rampage, and after a series of events, their tanks were unuseable for a time, during this time the entire company used their Rhyhorns as Calvary, often utalising lances and old style swords.
    ---

    [*Nickname:] Knight
    [Species:] Empoleon
    [Gender:] Female
    [*Age:] 28

[*Physical Quirks:] The white part on her chest has more of a salmon tint onto it, as well instead of circles on the bottom there are hearts.

[Personality:] Nice, kind, great pokemon all around, she will protect what she sees as her family with pride. Unlike Krellrs other pokemon you could call her hot headed though, which is seen as a great thing in Krellrs book because she brings diverstiy into the group. As well she likes to get things done RIGHT the first time.

[*History:] Actully he got this the new way, he got it from Rowen after presenting the Professer with the newly Evolved Rook. he was given Knight because Rowen was amazed at this new discovery and it lead him to become known world wide for his research on new evolutions of already known pokemon.

    ---

    [*Nickname:] Bishop
    [Species:] Zangoose
    [Gender:] male
    [*Age:] 14

[*Physical Quirks:] Bishop wears some a necklace in the shape of a hammer, and the red on his chest is more of a maroon color.

[Personality:] Actully rather peaceful. He likes to know things and is always found in the libary when not doing anything important. But this doesn't mean he is the polar of the others, he can be just as devistating as them.

[*History:] He wanted to know why Zangoosie(?) were at war with Seviper, and after turning up some suprising answers, he learned that no one knew any more. He was found later trying to find peace between the two groups that inhabited Sinnoh, but he was cast out of his tribe. When Krellr found the young pokemon he took it in and the group cared for it. He then joined trying to learn answers to other things.

    GUARDIAN

    [*Name:] Deamon
    [Species:] Darkrai
    [Gender:] Male.
[Personality:] A planer, he likes to have things planed out before it ever happens. Deamon is often seen as a pokemon of evil, but Krellr(whos full name meants Spirt Watcher) knows that this pokemon is often seen this way because of ghost stories and the pokemons apperance are nearly the same. The two share a lust for knowlage and wisdom. Though Deamon is one of the legendaries he acts as though he wasn't, often going along and visiting with other pokemon for unknown reasons. As well, he doesn't like to many humans, "Ruin my Homelands" he will tell the few humans he trusts, many of which are now old. As well he has a strong tie with Giratina because only Giratina can open a portal to Darkrai's Shadow realm, the realm thought to belong to the dead and ruled by Darkrai for reasons unknown.

Some times however Deamon can be a very kind pokemon helping the lost, saveing someone in trouble. These things are things Deamon will do if he sees it happening. However, dont expect him to answer any calls for help, he is rather busy at the moment trying to convence the others to send the infected to a diffrent world until they can find some sort of cure, least the Deoxie army their Lord made to end the elemental war of long ago catch word of what is happening and move in to, "Clense" the planet... and Arceus.

["Reasoning":] Has some form of trust with Krellr, unkown how but he does. Of corse he could have had it all planed out as some form of back up incase anything happened...

Other: While Deamon speaks with Krellr, he looks more like an evil overlord than an old man. Also Deamon preffrs to 'speak' with Krellr in dreams. Unknown why.

    [Name:] Shinta Nakamura
    [Gender:] Male
    [Age:] 12
[Occupation:] free-lance medicine maker and library assistant

[Personality:] Shinta is a calm, cheerful, and kind individual, which is unusual for someone in his situation. He is curious and always eager to experience new things. He dislikes seeing friends fight each other in anything other than friendly competition, considering the idea selfish and stupid. Shinta is rather naive, believing that everyone has a good heart, even if they just tried to hurt him and that everything will turn out alright.

He cares deeply for forests and nature, having spent most of his life playing amongst the trees. As such, Shinta loves Pokemon, having been surrounded by them since birth. Because of this close contact, he has inherited a few traits of a wild Pokemon, such as animalistic positions and growling when an enemy is near. It has also given him slightly sharper senses, which to this day still baffles his doctor. Despite his love of nature, Shinta also enjoys reading. He can easily pass the time with a nice thick tome, especially about legends and history.

Shinta is a sick child but doesn't let it get him down in the slightest. When he is incredibly agitated or stressed, his body reacts accordingly and spasms. Sometimes, he cough s up blood if it gets bad enough. He prefers to keep it hidden however. This is because he doesn't want to be babied and pitied when there are more important things to worry about. Because of it, he taught himself to make homemade medicine for people and Pokemon. His hidden dream is to help others, even if it's just for the moment, with the medicine he makes.

[Description/Appearance:] Shinta has short, messy light-brown hair that looks like spiky bedhead that a comb got trapped in. He is small for his age at 4'3" and wiry with just barely tanned skin. His eyes are hazel with an amber ring in the middle, pupils almost permanently wider than normal. In warm weather (which is most of the RP, I'm guessing), he wears a pale green T-shirt with a tan stripe running through the middle and light russet colored shorts. If it's cold, he puts a forest-green coat over the T-shirt and dark-blue sweatpants, along with a white hat that covers his ears. No matter what the weather, he wears his grey and white slip-on shoes, getting a new pair when the old are worn.

Shinta carries a tattered black backpack with a patched bottom and brown leather straps to replace the original ones. Inside are some of his important items. First is his medicine making kit, with what he needs to make more as well as some of his remedies in stock. Second are some snacks and his prescribed pills next to two hardcover books. Finally there is a small notebook and pencils, just in case. There's still plenty of room left.

[History/Biography:] Shinta Nakamura was born in Viridian City, but knows the area of Pallet Town very well having been there often throughout his twelve years of life. He was taken to the hospital there many times as a baby due to some health problems which at the age of two were settled, explained by a genetic defect. The doctor stated solemnly to his mother that if she wanted him to live along time he would have to live his life in the hospital.

His mother, who once studied the human body, surprisingly refused. She stated calmly that her father had suffered the same problem and in fact had gotten better from being outside. She stated quite firmly that visits to the doctor annually would be enough and allowed him to be a free-spirited child. Shinta is always grateful for that. He never knew hi father, as he had disappeared not long after Shinta's birth. His mother rarely spoke of him and Shinta learned not to ask.

At the age of six, his mother trusted him with a Pokemon egg. He took the responsibility seriously, being very careful not to let it fall. After it hatched into Shinx, otherwise known as Raiuri, the woman would playfully tease that she had twins, because of their similar behavior. A year passed and Professor Oak gave the first test to see who in the area would become Pokemon Trainers to the seven year olds. Shinta included. Shocking to all of them, Shinta and Raiuri had little difficulty dispatching both opponents whereas the other children could barely defeat one. Curious, Oak decided to give the boy a starter and teach him how to catch a Pokemon. These became Leori and Kiori, or Chimchar and Butterfree respectively.

Two years passed and Shinta had begun to assist the librarians in Pallet Town and Viridian City. This continued until half a year ago, when the air began to feel tainted. Since then, Shinta has been locked indoors most of the time. At least, until the guardian called him...

[Other:] Shinta is slightly claustrophobic. Also from growing up around plants, he can recognize any kind in an instant.

    POKÉMON

    [*Nickname:] Raiuri
    [Species:] Shinx
    [Gender:] Male
    [*Age:] 6 years old

    [*Physical Quirks:] N/A

[Personality:] Raiuri is incredibly similar to his trainer, due to the boy's emotions being passed through the eggshell. As such, Raiuri is very attuned to his trainer's will, understanding him very well. He's generally cheerful, curious, and slow to anger. He's a naturally helpful Pokemon. If the situation isn't in his favor, he'll stick it out and fight anyway.

[*History:] Raiuri hatched from an egg given to Shinta by his mother. Carefully raised under the boy's care, he became strong enough to take down Professor Oak's Spearow and Ledyba without too much difficulty.

[*Other:] Raiuri doesn't like Pokeballs but will get into one if he has to.

    [*Nickname:] Leori
    [Species:]Chimchar
    [Gender:] Male
    [*Age:] 6 years old

[*Physical Quirks:] Instead of the usual grey eyes, Leori's are scarlet instead.

[Personality:] Leori is rather calm and collected, as well as determined. Unlike other Chimchar, it is not easily baited or offended and will not rush in blindly. He is perfectly loyal, unquestioning of orders even if they could hurt him.

[*History:] Leori was raised in the Pokemon lab by Professor Rowan. A year after his birth, Leori was shipped over to Kanto to Professor Oak, who promptly gave him to Shinta. He has been with the boy ever since.

    [*Other:] N/A

    [*Nickname:]Kiori
    [Species:] Butterfree
    [Gender:] Female
    [*Age:] 5 years old

    [*Physical Quirks:] N/A

[Personality:] Kiori is a shy, unconfident Pokemon, who really wonders how she got to evolve as fast as she did. She cares greatly for Shinta, who didn't give up on her as others would have. If her Trainer is unable to command her, she easily can pick up the slack and fight freely.

[*History:] When Professor Oak was showing Shinta how to capture Pokemon, he demonstrated with Kiori, then a Caterpie. Shinta, not wanting Kiori to be abandoned, asked for her. Oak allowed it and Shinta worked hard at training and encouraging her.

[*Other:] Kiori likes clinging to her Trainer's neck when tired.

    GUARDIAN

    [*Name:] Chirin
    [Species:] Celebi
    [Gender:] Male

[Personality:] Celebi is a generally happy-go-lucky Pokemon, who rarely ever gets upset or angry. He will usually be more talkative when outside large, urban cities than inside them due to the lack of trees. These days he is usually more serious due to the severity of the situation but still manages to soothe Shinta during the boy's rare times of sadness.

    [*History] N/A

["Reasoning":] Celebi had been desperate at the time he had chosen Shinta. He could not find anyone who could match with him. Yet somehow, as he was searching through the forests, he came across the boy gathering fallen leaves in a box. Continuing to watch, Chirin swore he saw the boy glance up toward him but shook it off immediately. Following him, the Pokemon made a snap decision and chose Shinta.
[Other:] Celebi has a verbal tic of -bi at the end of some of his sentences.

I LOVE the storyline here :D

    [Name:] Bryon Airnes
    [Gender:] Male
    [Age:] 20
    [Occupation:] Pokemon Trainer

[Personality:] Bryon is the kind of guy that likes to take risks if he truly believes it to be the right thing to do. With determination in mind, he dosen't let too much bother him or get in his way to achieve whatever it is he is trying to acomplish. In many occasions, he will often use his head too - seeking out the best possible solution to whatever situation is at hand. It is because of these things that Bryon is well spoken aswell, and not the quiet type. He dosen't believe that he only needs he, himself and him to get through things, and works well with others. It's this kind of thinking that has made him a great trainer. Bryon isn't a deadly serious person however - most of the time, he can be a well mannered, interesting person to get to know. He dosen't seek out to try and make enemies (not that he would particularly want to anyway), however this can often lead to him being a little bit of a pusshover and an easy target (if of course he's in the frame of mind not to react). Additionally, Bryon isn't known to take defeat very well, and can take it very personally - becoming either angry or slightly emotional.

One particular thing people notice about Bryon however is his responsibility and loyalty towards those he cares about. In the case of his father especially, he feels it is his responsibility to support and stand by him. In other small matters outwith this too, Bryon can set himself small responsibilities, or even 'personal promises', which he more than often carries out. As he has grown up, Bryon has continuously put others before himself more and more - infact now it is rare for him to be selfish in any way at all - and usually has one eye open for anyone in need. This aspect is repeated when it comes to his pokemon too. For instance, he will alter his training styles and his attitude for each individual (ie, he can joke around and be lax with Colo, however he is much more serious and demanding with Zang). Many have seen this as a very 'unique' way of training, and have come to the conclusion that this is probably where the majority of his skill lies.

[Description/Appearance:] Bryon is a healthy person - standing at the average height of around 6 feet and has a lean body. His skin has a fair pale tone to it, and he occasionally develops slight tans depending on where he's been. He tends to focus on his hair a lot, propping it up and running his hands through it to get rid of clumps. The hair itself is a light brown colour and is very soft and smooth to the touch. It spraws out ad backwards, so Bryon usually has it slightly waxed upwards - and has faint red tips aswell, just for personalization and effect. Facially, Bryon's cheeks are usually slightly flushed or rosey, and the rest of his face is the same, fair tone as his skin. His jawline has become more defined as he's grown, and his features have become more "thick" and structured looking. His eyes are what people usually notice first, as they are pearl white with a rich blue iris.

Bryon aims not to develop his own sort of fashion style, instead veering towards more common wear. For starters, he has a black denim jacket, which he usually has zipped right up. It has deep red outlines on it wherever stitches should be, and his pockets usually remain open for him to place his hands in. Underneath this he has a white shirt which is rarely seen (due to his jacket usually covering it up). He has a pair of baggy, deep blue jeans on most of the time with zip pockets and brown rims along the waist and feet. There's nothing speacial about his footwear, choosing to wear basic brown boots. He has no bag for his supplies - instead he has a phannypack around his waist, which doubles up as a belt with a few compartments for pokeballs.

[History/Biography:] Bryon Airnes was born on June 26th in Sandgem Town, Sinnoh. There, he grew up with his parents as an only child. Unfortunately, his mother fell ill and she passed away when Bryon was ten. Both he and his father were devastated, and were struggling to cope with life thereafter. Bryon saw how miserable his father was, and realised his life felt empty too. He was determined to make his father happy again, and to help both he and himself move on. being the right age, Bryon chose to start his own pokemon journey and challenge the Sinnoh League - and give his dad some time alone. Certain that being a trainer is what he wanted to do with his life, Bryon recieved his starter pokemon from the neighbouring Professor Rowan - a Chimchar. Since then, he has honed his skills, grew much stronger, and had even reached the final sixteen of the Sinnoh Pokemon League on his first attempt. He began treating his training as a true profession at that point, training more and more when he found time, reaching as far as the semi finals of his next League Challenge.

After two attempts at the League, Bryon had forgotten why he'd left in the first place - to take his mind off of things for a while, and try to get over the loss of his mother. He took some time off and returned home to his father, who had also had plenty of time to recouperate. Here he stayed for the next few years of his life, starting to once again live a stable life at home with his dad. It was during this period that he even considered giving up his pokemon training and get a 'true' proffesion. He sent most of his pokemon into his PC Boxes, only keeping his best three at hand (see below). He did miss battling however, but he felt like he had to stay with his father, who was aware of this. As the days past, Bryon's father began to have talks with him, stating how he was proud of him for what he had achieved, and that he shouldn't give up just for "a silly old guy like me." This gave Bryon a new view of things - maybe he didn't have to keep his dad company all hours of the day, and maybe he could be a trainer again. This was encouraged by all the locals - particularly the younger kids - of his hometown, who supported him and would back him all the way. With this new lease of life in his grasp, Bryon has started battling again, and has taken part in minor tournaments with his three loyal pokemon.

    [Other:]
Bryon has a black pokedex... if that's of any use.

    POKÉMON

    [*Nickname:] Ferno
    [Species:] Infernape
    [Gender:] Male
    [*Age:] 18

[*Physical Quirks:] Ferno wears black bandages around his fists and ankles, mainly to show off his skill in physical combat. Physically, there's not much difference, however he is slighty more muscular than most other Infernape.

[Personality:] Ferno is cool, calm and collected, to sum him up in three words. Since he was a Chimchar, he's been impressed with his powers and likes to show them off. He never usually retorts to things angrily, instead he keeps his cool and smirks often.

[*History:] Ferno was the first pokemon Bryon ever recieved - as his starter back when he was ten. Since then he has been his number one pokemon, and has constantly remained in his team, travelling with him throughout his training career. As a result he has remained with Bryon.

[*Other:] Ferno can use Blaze Kick - an egg move.

    [*Nickname:] Colo
    [Species:] Ludicolo
    [Gender:] Male
    [*Age:] 38

[*Physical Quirks:] Colo has a Mexican styled neckscarf that he likes to wear as a sort of 'cape'.

[Personality:] Colo is a pokemon who is constantly active and jittery. He always seeks fun or enjoyment, and usually takes battles as games. He also has the tendancy to play instruments when he sees them.

[*History:] Bryon caught Colo as a Lombre during his Sinnoh travels. Impressed with its skills and it's unique (and useful) typing, it has remained in his team throughout.

[*Other:] Colo can play any instrument naturally.

    [*Nickname:] Zang
    [Species:] Zangoose
    [Gender:] Female
    [*Age:] 24

[*Physical Quirks:] Instead of a pinkish red colour, Zang's markings are a deep red, and her eyes are green.

[Personality:] Zang is similar to Ferno in that she is aware of her skill. However she does have a worse temperment, and can get really agressive towards her opponents. Naturally, she will go into a frenzy whenever she sees someting like a Seviper or Arbok.

[*History:] Unlike the other two pokemon, Zang is actually a fairly recent one of Bryons. He confronted her after his first Sinnoh League challenge, capturing her and utilising her on many occasions in his second challenge. As a result she is now in Bryon's permanent team along with Ferno and Colo.

[*Other:] Zang can get agressive as mentioned, however she is only obedient to Bryon.

    GUARDIAN

    [*Name:] Gerukai
    [Species:] Ho-oh
    [Gender:] Male

[Personality:] Gerukai is a wise pokemon. As a result, he is kind and considerate at heart, though he is viewed as a powerful beast. He always has a sharp eye out for anything that is upsetting things or beings close to him, and will use his power sparingly to resolve matters. In the most intense situations, Gerukai can let rip and cause utter destruction with his massive power and his unique Sacred Fire move. However he will always stay in the right frame of mind and always stays true to his responsibilities.

    [*History:] Unknown

["Reasoning":] Being a being of fire, Gerukai was drawn to Bryon as a result of his flare to succeed and his raw talent. He trusts him to do what is needed. There is however, a more important reason - Gerukai feels that Bryon shares the same loyalty and comitment to others that he himself posseses, and has thus felt like he can almost relate to him. Bryon has been chosen as a result of this.

[Other:] Gerukai's voice is pretty low and deep. Also, Bryon somehow feels physically warmer whenever he is communicating with him.

There we go :D Lemmie know what you think :P

    Name: Damon Hale

    Gender: Male

    Age: Twenty

Occupation: When Damon was young he aspired to run the gym circuit, overcome the Elite Four, and become Champion. However, after he began working with Pokemon he stopped at Solaceon City, where he left two Psyduck in the daycare. When he returned he was told they'd laid an egg. Curious and surprised, he took it and withdrew them from the daycare. When it hatched into a tiny yellow ball of fluff he realized he knew what he wanted to do with his life. He settled in Veilstone, drawn by the convenience of the nearby department store, and became a breeder. Though he is not well known throughout Sinnoh, and in Kanto, Johto, and Hoenn only other breeders know who he is, he finds joy in raising young Pokemon, though he does keep his four battle-ready Pokemon from when he had taken the gym circuit.

Personality: Damon has a thirst to know. He does not place much merit in words in books, though he does enjoy a read every now and then to help inflate his psyche. His fascination lies with Pokemon breeding and the wealth of possibilities that lie in their vast gene pool. Among his favorite things are myths and legends, when a young Pokemon is born, and pepperoni and Pecha berry pizza. He aspires to become a prominent name in Pokemon breeding, someone people will come to for miles in order to discuss his techniques and admire the health and striking features of his young. Though he claims not to have a favorite, Eevee fascinate him due to their many evolutionary capabilities. He has crossbred different coat colorations and come up with some with lighter or darker fur, as well as one completely unique. That one is the only of its fellows he keeps as a battler. Lining the walls of his mid-sized bachelor pad are a bookshelf full of books on myths and legends, maps of each of the nearby regions, and a large stereo system for one of his true loves, music. Each contributes to his daily life one way or another. Surprisingly, Damon is a fair cook, enough so to make enough food for himself and his Pokemon to survive, although he does buy pre-made food and order out every now and then.

One of the most important parts of life, as Damon sees it, is recreation, and realizing life is not so dark as many see it. Every morning he gets up early and goes for a run just as the sun is beginning to rise. Occasionally he brings a Pokemon along, most often a juvenile he is raising. He loves to go just outside the city limits into the trees, grass, and sun to bask in the warmth and revel in the beauty of the world.

Description/Appearance: Damon is of a medium height, standing at five feet and eleven inches. He has no qualms about his stature, quite content to be as tall as he is. His physique is not particularly impressive, as he does not take up residence inside a gym. However, due to the fact that he has chosen a lifestyle that is somewhat physically demanding, he is at least somewhat toned. The healthy diet he chooses for himself and his Pokemon contributes as well. He keeps his dark chocolate hair fairly long, six inches past the lowest point of his shoulder blades. When wet it has slight wave to it, but most of the time it lies straight and tame in the ponytail he usually restrains it in. His skin is fairly tanned from the time he spends in the sun, though it never gets all that dark before it burns. Rarely does Damon allow facial hair to creep onto his cheeks, though every now and then he'll go a day or two without shaving and get somewhat shaggy. His eyes are a dark hazel color. When he's particularly happy or stressed, shoots of green and blue appear among the hazel. His wardrobe consists of button-down collared shirts when he's feeling formal, t-shirts of various colors and logos when he's not, and blue jeans. In any case he hates to tuck in his shirt, as he feels that is a practice belonging to the posh and the elderly. Shoes are not a top priority, so he elects to wear anything that isn't atrocious and that offers fair comfort.

History/Biography: Damon was born in Floaroma. Growing up there left him with a respect for nature and the beauty of natural fauna. His father had left them before he was born, shortly after his conception, so he did not know about his son's existence. Though Damon did feel a void in his life where a father figure ought to be, he thrived nevertheless, growing quickly and healthily. In his studies he did not excel, though he didn't exactly struggle either. An introduction to books and reading at a young age allowed him to begin consuming tomes about various subjects at a fair rate. At eleven he discovered his interest in the myth and legend surrounding Pokemon. He borrowed, bought, and sold books on the subject, filling his head with details about everything from the possibility of creatures shaped like letters to Mew, alleged to possess the DNA of every living Pokemon. The interest led him to decide he wanted to take the League Challenge and perhaps encounter something magnificent along the way. As a child, he and his mother owned a Houndour they kept as a pet. When he turned fifteen his mother deemed him old enough to take the circuit if he had a Pokemon with him to keep him safe. Therefore he took the pet Houndour, named Ebony, and began with the Oreburgh gym. Though it took some effort and some additions to his team, Damon made it far enough to come to Solaceon. After learning of the Day Care, where a kind elderly couple would raise Pokemon for trainers, he left a male and female Psyduck there. He meant to make the male Psyduck strong enough to battle alongside his team, and to evolve the female so that he could trade it to a young girl in the city who asked him for a Golduck in place of her Persian. The gender difference was mere coincidence, though a fateful one. After spending a few nights at the nearby Center he returned to the Day Care, only to discover that the two ducks had produced an egg. Surprised, he kept it and hatched it into a baby Psyduck. That was when his love of breeding was born. He evolved the female Psyduck and traded for the Persian, which now resides with his mother in Floaroma. The male Psyduck joined his team and acted as a father to the chick he recognized as his. Damon decided then and there to cease gym challenging, and instead become a breeder. He moved to Veilstone City, bought a house with the substantial amount of money he had obtained during his travels, and began breeding. A paper on the notice board in the Center asked for certain Pokemon for money, valuable items, and trades. This method proved successful, as through it he obtained a Vulpix, Bellsprout, and Eevee.

Life continued on, perfect and serene, until one day Damon began to hear a whisper in the back of his mind. Fearing insanity he shut it out, losing sleep and eating less due to the stress of it. But finally he was weakened enough to allow it to envelop his mind with its friendly presence. Though it still took him some time to accept that the voice belonged to Mew, a creature of myth and legend, he eventually gave in and allowed her to establish her presence in his mentality.

Other: Damon occasionally writes music when he has enough time. He doesn't expect it to become anything profound, but he still enjoys it.

    POKÉMON

    Nickname: Erie

    Species: Eevee

    Gender: Male

Age: One year (About level 5)

Physical Quirks: Through careful crossbreeding of Eevee with light fur and dark eyes, Damon managed to breed an Eevee with a light creamy grey-brown coat and dark brown spots around the eyes. That Eevee would happen to be Erie. Young as he is, he's still fairly small, about the size of a medium puppy, with paws that seem far too large for his body. His tail and ears seem comically long as well, though Damon knows Erie will grow into them.

Personality: Generally speaking, Erie is a hyperactive ball of energy with as much of a love for Pecha berries as Damon. He's very meticulous about grooming, especially for his age, and keeps the ruff of fur around his neck nice and clean. He's been inside of a Pokeball before and has absoultely no qualms about it. Efforts to teach Erie basic attacks introduced him to a love of battling, and he often challenges opponents much larger than he. As a result Damon has to be wary about which Pokemon he allows Erie to be near, for if Erie challenges someone less good-natured it could be disastrous.

History: Damon hatched Erie from an egg one of his breeding pairs of Eevee made. When he was born Damon was astonished at the unusual coat coloring and instantly took a particular liking to him for his bubbly personality as well. Erie now goes with Damon wherever possible and is liable to cry if not taken.

    Nickname: Ebony

    Species: Houndour

    Gender: Female

    Age: 14

Physical Quirks: Ebony is, at least in appearance, about the same as other Houndour, with a splash of red on her muzzle and underbelly, skull-like white protrusion on her forehead, and bands of white like ribs on her back. The majority of her body is a rich deep black, contributing to her name, and just above her paws on all four feet are cuffs like her bony markings. A fang on her top jaw juts above her bottom lip on the right side of her head. Her ears stand at perfect points, though her tail is somewhat shorter and stubbier than most Houndour. From her time as a housepet she has loose skin on her belly, hinting that she used to be much fatter than she is now. Taking the gym challenge worked those extra pounds off, though it did nothing for the extra skin. Around her neck she wears a link of chain, like a choke chain. However, Damon feels choke chains are inhumane. Therefore he has modified it so that it clasps at a predetermined length, and will not constrict to choke Ebony.

Personality: Ebony is very attached to Damon, having been with him and his mother since she was a young puppy. She is extremely loyal and willing to fight until the death to keep him safe. This is in part due to her strong mothering instinct. If she feels Damon is too dirty she may even pin him and proceed to lick him clean. Erie receives the same treatment, as do most baby Pokemon hatched under Damon's care. However, she strongly hates water type Pokemon and will have nothing to do with them if she can help it. Give her an Oran berry and you will be her new best friend for the rest of eternity, or at least until someone else gives her one. Her most prevalent fault is she tends to be a bit jealous, especially when a new team member is introduced.

History: The first thing Ebony remembers is playing out in the garden with Damon. She knows that she was given to the Hales when she was small enough to fit in the palm of Ms. Hale's hand. The first part of her life was spent as a pet, being offered her food in a ceramic dish, never needing to battle unless the vacuum cleaner dared rear its ugly head. However, when Damon decided to become a trainer she jumped at the chance to be his first battling Pokemon. She knew she would need to lose some weight, and it would take serious training, but she wanted to be able to protect her boy out in the field. As new Pokemon were caught and trained alongside her she had to get over her severe distaste for other Pokemon getting too close for Damon. After a time she was able to tolerate any but a water type.

When Damon decided to settle down and become a breeder Ebony was more than happy to settle into an early retirement. She hadn't bargained for the sudden wave of baby Pokemon always hopping all over the house. It had taken some getting used to but over time she grew to like them, nurturing them all as much as their own mother, making sure they didn't get into too much mischief.

Other: Ebony isn't so much a pacifist as she is lazy, preferring to use moves like Toxic or Will-O-Wisp to allow a foe to faint from its malady instead of launching a full-force physical attack.

    Nickname:Emmy

    Species: Natu

    Gender: Female

Age: Unknown, as she was caught in the wild.

Physical Quirks: The red feather that sticks up on Emmy's head is slightly curved upwards at the end, almost like a question mark, though less prominent. Apart from that she has the standard emerald green spherical body, white, black, and red wings, red tail feathers, and large dark eyes. They always seem to stare right through people, as though they aren't there, while in reality they're analyzing them. Her bright yellow beak is often the second thing one notices, runner up to her eyes. Damon has a fascination with her bright red feet, how two toes point forward and one points back. He sometimes has her step in paint and walk all over a canvas. The arrangement of the colors inspires him and he begins writing music from it.

Personality: It's very difficult to glean what exactly Emmy's true personality is. She's quiet and often stationary, going hours without moving if allowed to. In reality she's extremely introspective, constantly on a search to figure out who and what exactly she is, beyond the definition of Emmy the Natu. She seems to fear nothing, not even cat Pokemon, though she does in fact hold a phobia for being caught alone in the dark. It isn't so much the dark itself that she fears, as the symbolism of it, being unable to see what's there, unable to fight an invisible force. When first captured by Damon she despised the sheer thought of the Pokeball, seeing it as her cage and he as her slaver. In time she began to realize he was a friend and it was a safe haven where nothing could or would ever harm her. She isn't allowed out of the ball as often as Ebony and Erie, for the fact that Damon fears she would fly off and never be heard from again. Therefore when released she sits on his shoulder calmly in a gesture of trust, hoping to gain the same from him.

History: Before being captured by Damon Natu lead a calm life, spending most of her days perched motionless in a tree, flying off when a predator attempted to catch her, avoiding other Pokemon, as she held a distaste for the mindless manner with which they lived their lives. At night she would fly as near to a town as possible without being discovered and sleep in the glow of the streetlights. Then one day she was surprised by a strange young man while she was near a stream bathing. He immediately set his Houndour on her, who he called Ebony, and began to throw attacks at her. Emmy was horribly frightened, as she had never been in such a situation before. Ebony caught her in her jaws, holding her still. No matter what Emmy did she would not release her. The strange boy, who she later knew as Damon, threw a ball and caught her after three tries. She was then taken to a Pokemon Center and given a medical examination. A clean bill of health later Damon began to train her. It took some effort for him to gain her trust, but once he did she began to actually try to gain experience and become more skilled.

When Damon told her he wished to settle down and begin breeding she was skeptical at first. She disliked pups, always had, and knew that would never change. But after spending time with the many young that Pokemon produced under his care she grew more tolerant. She still flew to high points she knew they couldn't reach whenever possible, but she was less inclined to lash out if they got on her bad side.

Other: Emmy has no opinion of evolving, neither bad nor good. She takes the philosophical approach that it will happen when it happens, if it happens.

    GUARDIAN

    Name: Shiia

    Species: Mew

    Gender: Female

Personality: Shiia is often thought to be naive because of her bubbly personality and friendly disposition. In reality, she knows exactly how unpleasant the world can be. She just prefers to see the good in everyone and attempt to drag it out. In fact, she's grown quite skilled at seeing purity in the hearts of all over the years, the only exception being the Parasite that has overtaken dear Arceus. She often enjoys a swim in lakes, rivers, and oceans, protected within her bubble-like field of energy. Despite the trauma she's faced in the past, most prominently her clash with Mewtwo, she's come out all the better for it, ready to brighten the lives of more people and Pokemon. She thrives on laughter and most of all, rain. Fresh spring rain sends shivers of pleasure down her soft, pink body.

History: In the beginning, life was simple. Mew was the only of her kind, the Guardian of Happiness, you might say. For many centuries she made harmless trips through different places all over the earth. Sadly, despite her care, she was discovered by humans and documented. That began a search for her, to either prove she existed or she was mere imagination. Despite Shiia's best efforts to prove that she was in fact someone's wishful thinking she shed a single hair in the middle of a rainforest. Scientists discovered that hair and realized it belonged to her. Giovanni of Team Rocket purchased the hair for considerable amounts of money and paid scientists to extract DNA from it and improve on it, to clone a Mew-like creature. The crime against nature was paid for by the scientists' lives. When Mewtwo took his first breaths of the earth's air the balance of nature was upset. However, Giovanni did not see that. Shiia watched helplessly as he trained hatred into the heart of a creature she felt as fond toward as her own child, her only child ever to be had, in fact, since deities such as herself could never reproduce.

The entire situation escalated until she had no choice but to fight against Mewtwo in an effort to save natural born humans and Pokemon from extinction. She knew Arceus would not allow for such destruction if he could help it, but she would not take the risk of his actions being a moment too late. The action climaxed as a human boy was harmed by the energy of their clash, attempting to save his beloved Pokemon. His sacrifice touched Mewtwo so much that he retracted his efforts and went into exile with his fellow clones. After that life returned to normal for her, and despite her memories, it was almost as if nothing had happened to upset her usual schedule.

"Reasoning": Shiia has always been drawn to concentrations of high positivity, optimism, and sheer enjoyment of life. Damon had all of those traits and simply happened to be at the right place at the right time. Searching desperately for a human to help her and her brothers and sisters save Arceus, he was the first personality to beckon to her. After a moment or two of silent observation her mind was set and she chose him to be her connection to earth now that she was too weak to pay visits herself.

Other: Despite the fact that Shiia herself is pink, her favorite color is blue, and often enjoys creating blue bubbles of energy and popping them with her tail, all the while giggling madly.

    Reservations made. Please try to get some actual bios up soon. ^-^;

Sorry I've been somewhat inactive; I wasn't expecting this RP to be accepted so long after I originally posted it, and I've been away from home for a few days. I'll be back tomorrow, though. That's when I'll work more on my own character and try to get an OOC thread up. For now I'll overlook all the current sign ups.

The Gaurdian. A lot more length is necessary. I like that you're thinking outside the box with an older, more experienced character, but to get this character accepted you're gonna need to put in more raw detail to fatten his biography up. I like what you have. All I'm asking for is more. PENDING. Darkrai has been claimed for you.

winterfell. I like it. And the character himself, on a side note. xD ACCEPTED.

Zeph. Add a bit more length to his Personality and History. Namely History; if he's twenty years old and so accomplished he'd probably have more to be written about his past than just a small paragraph. I also think winning the league twice is a bit... sueish, to put it bluntly. Once is stretching it enough, especially with just three Pokemon (if he has more that he used for the League but for some reason only has three with him now it should be noted). PENDING. Ho-Oh has been claimed for you.

    Strikit. Nice. ACCEPTED.

Now that you mention it, I'm not really sure why I wanted him to be so successful :P Anyhow, I've beefed those parts up a little and edited it, so he's not a champion anymore :P

    Dialga's reserved, Dragon Song.

Ack! Sorry, Gaurdian. Problem's fixed; ya' can never count on me to get names right in the middle of the night. xD; On the topic of your bio, the History is great but he still needs some more in Personality and Description. Beef things up a bit. In his Description, for instance, you mainly described his clothing and posessions. Go into his actual physical appearance. You said he was fit, but what else is there to add? Hair, eyes, height, weight, physical ability, et cetera... There's more that can be done. His Personality similarly doesn't go very deep or explain very much. Still PENDING. Ya' got one more edit before you'll be Declined.

EDIT: Zeph, you ninja'd me. xD
    Byron is ACCEPTED.

    [*Nickname:] Shakugan
    [Species:] Lucario
    [Gender:] Female
    [*Age:] 17
[*Physical Quirks:] has a scar slighlty past one of it's left eye when Makoto and herself had a horrible run-in with a angery flock of Skyraptor

[Personality:] More emotional than Makoto and a slight motherly complex...an Adamant fighter and with protect Makoto at any cost to itself...or anything in her path. She traine dwith Makoto and his father so her fighting type moves are a bit stronger than normal and she's a bit faster as well. The scar was caused when Makoto went gathering firewood for the furnace and as Makoto began chopping down a tree little did he realize it was the nesting tree of several Starly famlies and upon hearing the cries of thier babies the mother Staraptors attacked Makoto was knocked down but recovered with inhuman speed as another attacked but even his Karakuri Uindo was not fast enough to dodge the incoming Arial Ace that clipped Makotos face leaving the talon marks and Shakugan seeing his injury raged and in her outburst was divebomded and an Iron Wing scarred her even as she threw a Force Palm into its side.

    GUARDIAN

    [*Name:] Draconmnius
    [Species:] Giritina
    [Gender:] Male

[Personality:] Rash and sometimes will jump at the slightest oppritunity to get ahead without thinking. If an openning his spotted he will won't to take advantage of it without thinking of the possible outcomes or consequences.

["Reasoning":] He will work as a level , a balance, a seeming emotionless thinker with skills that make him incredably powerful yet the compassion for other. Add powering ambition and a rash oppritunist you have a calculating and deadly combination. Dracomnius was also attracted by the compressed rage that he felt within Makoto a rage at himself and and a rage at another. It seems to drive him when all else fails when all hope is gone, all power is exauhsted, all options are gone and all the cards are on the table. This is the ace up his sleeve.

    Alright, Shen. :D

Psyko Thing, if that's really the best you can do you'd better not getcher hopes up. It needs lots more length all around. There's very little more I can add to that; look at some of the accepted SUs to get an idea how how long it should be and how much more detail you need. Aside from that, "Shakugan" is not a species, and your lovely little Guardian needs a personality. PENDING. Ya' got two chances to edit. Giratina has been reserved for you.

*cough**hack**cough* Sorry for the tardiness... It was a Scooby-Doo marathon weekend! I can't be blamed!

    [Name:] Lucine "Lucy" Midorenor
    [Gender:] Female
    [Age:] 15
    [Occupation:] Professional Trainer
[Personality:] Lucine, preferring to be called simply Lucy, is training to become a top-class professional Pokémon trainer, something which she takes very seriously. In fact, she takes almost everything very seriously. She dislikes joking around or goofing off, especially when there's work to be done. In her opinion, one should dedicate oneself completely to the task at hand, be it Pokémon battling or window washing. She hates distractions to her work such as meaningless talk, giving her the illusion of quietness. However, Lucy can be quite active in a conversation, provided that she feels its moving her along. She's usually an impatient person, trying to complete her challenge quickly to move on to the next one, but has been shown to draw on vast reservoirs of patience when it matters.
Lucine is someone who feels that only the best is worth anything, which is why she focuses so hard to achieve. To her, anything that she does that isn't on the level of a professional is completely worthless. It is her belief that any human can perform any task at any level if they do it right. She has long since forgotten her school projects that would put college students to shame, instead lamenting the F grade she received for not submitting any work, simply because it wasn't up to her standard, which she realistically probably could not achieve. Lucy rarely takes notice of her strengths, which include athletic ability and above-average intellect, and tends to focus on her failings. When evaluating other people, the reverse tends to happen, breeding a strain of jealousy within her.
Lucy has a quiet but nasty temper, something that suits her apparently cold image. However, she has never in her life been pushed further than mild irritation and has never really given much thought to what would happen when forced to snap. She is also very competitive, being quite the sore loser and a winner who is never satisfied.
While she has all the makings of a loner, Lucine has been blessed with a small but strong group of friends who manage to make her better qualities shine. She is a fiercely loyal individual and, while perhaps not the funniest person to be around, can always be counted on to listen and try to help. Many of the negative traits or beliefs she has tend to not apply to her friends. To her, even the smallest things are genuinely fantastic if they were made by her friends, although she is a click away from offering some harsh but fair criticism. They even make her smile. Lucine cares deeply for the people she's connected with, perhaps because she is aware of how lucky she is to have them. However, her pride still accompanies her and even her friends have trouble coaxing her out of her sulks.

[Description/Appearance:] Lucy is tall and lean, a natural born athlete who excels at a variety of sports. Her hair is blonde, despite her personality, which she usually wears in two short pigtails. She has a pet habit of changing her hairbands every now and then. Her eyes, usually narrowed with concentration, are a deep, dark green; her mother often compared them to the jungles of Hoenn. She has a birthmark on her forearm which, if she's feeling particularly romantic, looks sort of like a crescent moon.
Lucy changes her outfit every few days or, more accurately, whenever she changes hairbands. At the start of the adventure, she's wearing a simple pair of orange hairbands. With them she's also sporting a beige tank top with thin straps, the right one fashionably falling down to expose her bare shoulder. She couples it off with a set of blue jeans with navy Pokéball patterns running down the sides past her knee ending in fairly short high heels (no socks).
[History/Biography:] Both of her parents were highly successful Pokémon Trainers, famously turning one League tournament into a well publicised love story of two rivals aiming for the top. Neither of them claimed the title of champion in the end and they still bicker about which of them actually won their semi-final match (it was actually a draw). Lucine is the second of their children, having an older brother of great success who dropped out of the competitive scene to pursue a career in Research.
Growing up in Canalave, Lucine was constantly surrounded my reminders of their success. Trophies and ribbons lined the rooms and their old Pokémon were her childhood friends. She formed a particularly strong bond with a Cleffa her mother caught. During get-togethers with old friends, Lucine would hear once more all about her parent's amazing lives and achievements. The girl truly did look up to them and her brother too, wanted nothing more than to make them proud of her. And proud of her they were, as good parents always are. However, as she toiled away at whatever task she had then, her father would help her with her Maths or her mother would correct her spelling. To Lucy, it was embarrassing and she felt stupid and useless compared to them, not really ever chalking the skill difference to the gap in age.
Lucine herself chose to forgo the normal journey age and stayed in education, determined to ready herself with all the tools she might need. Part of her decision was also an attempt to find her own niche to be successful in. All her direct family were famous in the competitive Pokémon scene, her own blood burning for battle as well. She was infamous in the school's community for her religious studying skills and excellent exam results in comparison to a long list of absent coursework and missed lessons. Skipping classes was certainly something that goes against her character but she couldn't fight her nature and found herself spending more and more time battling with borrowed Pokémon at the gym. She eventually suspended her school-life and close friends to start a journey on the day after her fifteenth birthday.
On her fifteenth birthday, the day before her decision, Lucine could have been found berating herself at the docks for losing a battle and failing to turn in her homework. On a whim, she paid for a trip to Iron Island with the intent of honing her skills. She had started to feel a bit lost with her life. As a person who always focused on the task at hand and always trying to be the best at everything, she was feeling everything piling on top of her and was losing her drive.
She returned home some time after midnight, clutching a feather to her chest. She had found her drive again.
Somewhere far into her journey, when the clouds shielding stardom had finally started to part, she heard a familiar voice in her dreams.
[Other:] Lucine owns a Lunar Wing.
    POKÉMON
    [*Nickname:] Cleffa
    [Species:] Clefable
    [Gender:] Female
    [*Age:] 11

[*Physical Quirks:] A moon patterned navy blue ribbon adorns her left ear.

[Personality:] Cleffa is a bubbly and happy Pokémon, at odds with her trainer. Some traits of Lucine have rubbed off on her however such as the girl's competitive spirit, although the Clefable isn't a sore loser. Cleffa was well loved by Lucy's friends and acts as their voice while she's on her journey, comforting Lucy when she's down and pushing her towards personal development. She's also more observant than her master but doesn't always report what she sees, letting her trainer work it out alone so as to not wound her pride.

[*History:] Cleffa was caught as a Cleffa by Lucine's mother while the girl was still a young girl. The Pokémon was a present and quickly bonded tightly with her. Lucy never outgrew calling her friend Cleffa so it became a nickname of sorts when she first evolved. Her ribbon was a gift from Lucine's friends as a way to keep close even when far away. Cleffa took it on as a personal mission to be their arms for their growing friend.

[*Other:] Cleffa has the Magic Guard ability and can float for a day if the moon was bright the previous night, serving as a makeshift Levitate. She also possesses a huge arsenal of different moves ranging from quirky moves like Gravity to devastating attacks like Meteor Mash. Cleffa is a very high level Pokémon.
    [*Nickname:] Rosa
    [Species:] Roserade
    [Gender:] Female
    [*Age:] 9

[*Physical Quirks:] A black scarf with a golden star.
[Personality:] Rosa is much more like her master than Cleffa, being calm and analysing but filled to the brim with pride and determination. Rosa hates losing possibly more than Lucine, leading her to become the strongest member on the team. In battle, she fights with grace and pre-planned tactics, linking attack to attack to keep pressuring the opponent until they submit. Her social interactions follow a similar path, taking on an aloof disposition but still trying to control the situation.

[*History:] Rosa was caught as a Budew by Lucy just north of Jubilife, her first personal Pokémon catch. It was not, in fact, Lucine's imprinting personality that created the parallels. By sheer chance, the Budew had lived her life similarly to Lucy and was in the same state of insecurity and flux. At first, Rosa ignored every command Lucy gave, relying instead on her own natural power. This quickly changed after their first loss, an eternal scar on the Pokémon's heart. Vowing to work together to reach the stars, Rosa became Lucine's top Pokémon.
[*Other:] Rosa is Lucy's strongest Pokémon.

    [*Nickname:] Drif
    [Species:] Drifblim
    [Gender:] Male
    [*Age:] Indeterminate.

[*Physical Quirks:] A white scarf tied round one of his limbs sports cloud patterns.
[Personality:] Drif is a simple Pokémon by nature, enjoying just drifting about without direction. Drif would rather wait for things to happen, often leading him to simply toy with opponents, infuriating for both them and Lucine. When the chips are down however, Drif is a true blue combatant and will fight to save his companions.

[*History:] Lucy began tracking down Drifloon when she once lost her nerve in the journey and wished to return home over the river to Canalave. She had spotted a swarm of them floating across the river after her failed rock hopping plan. She managed to "corner" Drif at the Valley Windworks and managed to capture him. She soon discovered however that Drifloon could not carry her across the river – they weren't strong enough. Irritated, she strictly trained Drif until he evolved and further still to turn him into a formidable tank who could carry her with ease and security. Finally about to go home, the two jumped for the river. The wind was blowing east.
[*Other:] Drif can fly without the wind if he needs to (now) but still can't fly directly against the wind.
    [*Nickname:] Meda
    [Species:] Medicham
    [Gender:] Male
    [*Age:] 21
[*Physical Quirks:] A red scarf tied around his neck with a yellow sun emblem.
[Personality:] Meda is a determined and skilled fighter blessed with excellent strength and agility, but isn't as concerned with becoming the best of the best as his trainer and comrade, Rosa. Instead, he believes in achieving his own personal best and constantly bettering himself personally than beating anyone else. He spends a lot of his own time meditating or practicing his skills but has also developed a hobby in fishing, finding it a fun combination of the two. Meda is cool-headed in battle as well, often making plans during the battle rather than relying on memorised tactics. He feels that it provides greater mental exercise than simply doing the same techniques over and over.
[*History:] Meda belonged to a tribe of Meditite and Medicham residing on Mt. Coronet. Lucy and Rosa decided to challenge the entire tribe to measure their progress. The pair did well for a while before encountering Meda as a Meditite who soundly thrashed Rosa. He then fought and defeated Cleffa, a Clefairy at the time, and Lucy, feeling humiliated, decided to capture it. Meda exploited Rosa's methodical battle style and used the environment around him to nullify Cleffa's strange attacks. For a time, Lucine almost gave up being a trainer, which led to her catching Drif. Returning to the tribe some time later, Drif's casual battle style managed to catch Meda off guard leading to his capture. Meda accepted his loss gracefully, gladly journeying with Lucy in his quest for self-betterment.
    [*Other:]
    GUARDIAN
    [*Name:] Celia
    [Species:] Cresselia
    [Gender:] Female
[Personality:] Although Celia is usually known as a Pokémon that stops nightmares, but that doesn't stop her from being a bit of a nightmare herself. Sarcastic and haughty, Celia tends to see everything around her as things for her amusement, treating them like toys at times. She sees fellow Pokémon and people as projects for her own interest, wondering how they will grow and develop and trying to understand their way of thinking. She takes pleasure in manipulating their fates when she can, trying to guess what they'll do next and may bend the truth to see their reaction, although she will never outright lie without extreme circumstances.
Despite this, Celia is a genuinely caring creature and would never willingly put her subjects under danger they couldn't handle. She often tries to hide her softer side, favouring her "more interesting" tougher image, but she does worry about the wellbeing of all living creatures and will do as much as she can to serve the greater good.

[*History:] Much of her history is shrouded in mystery, some parts even from herself. Celia has spent most of her long life "playing" with ordinary Pokémon and humans with potential, at least one of which has had a tragic ending.

["Reasoning":] When the time came to choose an avatar for them, Celia scoured her mind for the humans with strength that she had been monitoring. Lucine was not her first choice. However, the strongest choice fell to the Parasite when he began his own investigation and another had become unreliable. She had almost forgotten the girl with lofty goals she had contacted on a whim. Celia knew there was some potential there but hadn't really given it much thought in comparison to her other projects. Strapped for options and unwilling to choose a stranger, she was surprised at the girl's rapid process and decided to put her faith in what, to her, was a minor incident.

... I kind of screwed up that last post; I though I made a double post when really it was an edit. Gah.

Anyways, in case either of you haven't already seen, The Gaurdian is ACCEPTED and Shen is ACCEPTED.

I've also finished my character's SU, which I'll include in this post. I'd like to wait a bit longer to start the RP, since there are lots of Reservations but only a few actual accepted SUs. If you've got a Reservation, please try to get your SU up as soon as possible. We should probably be started by Friday, at the very latest.

    [Name:] Lesley Coda
    [Gender:] Male
    [Age:] 9
[Occupation:] None currently, though he wants to be an explorer later in his life.

    [Personality:]
    Wimpy.

That would be the best way to describe Lesley. He's easily startled, he's afraid of the dark, and if you're looking to pick on somebody he's a very easy target. When stuck in a right situation he is much more likely to cower in fear or run away than he is to take action. Violence and gore frighten him half to death. His feelings are fragile and easily hurt by offensive jokes or lighthearted pranks. All in all he's pretty much the opposite of what comes to mind when you think "brave".

Though he can be shy around new people he is friendly and considerate towards others. Once he gets to know you as a friend he'll loyally stick with you, forever if you want him to. He does hold strong grudges however, and if you do something to scare or hurt him he'll grow to hate your guts, unless you can somehow manage to turn around his idea that you are "bad". In this respect he's very childish. He sticks to a firm set of morals that was drilled into him by his parents since he was a baby. There is good, and then there is bad. There isn't much middle ground in-between as far as he's concerned. Lesley, like most children, is also very gullible. He'll believe almost anything you tell him (unless of course it's absolutely ridiculous).

He is very curious and adventurous however. Lesley has always loved stories about adventurers going off on grand quests and returning with treasure or new discoveries or even just memories to keep. This is what he wants to be like. He wants to experience his own adventures and live his own stories. Mysteries excite him and whenever something looks new or strange he immediately sets out to investigate it. Of course, being a nine-year-old with an extremely innocent perspective of the world this often gets him into trouble. Deep trouble. Despite this he still attempts to find adventures and explorations to go on, even knowing he's probably going to end up worse off than he would otherwise.

    [Description/Appearance:]
Lesley is small, even for his age. He's a bit on the short side and very notably thin (while he does eat a fair amount of junk food he doesn't seem to gain much weight from it). Physically he's not very strong. Heavy-lifting is out of the question for him, and he usually needs help to complete simple tasks that involve any sort of muscle-use. He can, however, run surprisingly fast. He also has quick reflexes. Lesley has plain brown hair that's usually very messy (he has better things to do than brush his hair all the time!), and gentle gray-blue eyes. His nails are worn down a bit; he has a habit of vigorously biting them when he's nervous. As for clothing, Lesley usually wears a plain t-shirt and a pair of jeans or shorts. However, since he was visiting Four Island and the Icefall Cave before being teleported to Lake Verity, he is currently wearing a warm fuzzy jacket, boots, gloves, and a scarf with his usual jeans.

    [History/Biography:]
Lesley was born in Cerulean City. His parents babied him to death; being an only child, he became the single most important thing in their lives. His toddler days were filled with adventures through the yard and over couches, guided by his father or mother. It was an innocent beginning. Everything seemed happy for him.

That is, until his mother was diagnosed with breast cancer.

Everything sort of changed after that. His father told the little three-year-old that mommy was "very sick", and that "she might not get better". Lesley's primitive mind was unable to grasp the concept, but he soon learned on his own that his mother was not the same. She wasn't home as often, she didn't spend as much time with him, and his father was always tending to her. Since his actual parents were preoccupied with the disease, his father gave him a new guardian: Nemo. Captain Nemo had been the leader of his father's Pokémon team back in his trainer-days before settling down to raise a family. As such the Vaporeon could be trusted to watch over his master's son. He was at first reluctant. Taking care of a toddler wasn't Nemo's idea of a good time. Eventually he grew to love the boy though, and within only a year or so the two were inseparable. Lesley would rely on Nemo to take care of him when his parents were busy or not around, and when Lesley got into trouble Nemo would come to his rescue.

Once when Lesley was five his parents had to rush off to the hospital after an incident with his mother. They didn't want to worry their son, and they figured he was old enough to stay home with Nemo to keep him out of trouble, so they left him at home. Lesley, however, being the curious and imaginative kid he was, began to imagine himself on some sort of adventure. He wanted to go "save" his mother and bravely defeat whatever was making her so sick. Caught up in his fantasy he snuck out of the house while Nemo was taking a catnap. Rather than going on a miraculous adventure though, he found himself face-to-face with an angry Spearow on the outskirts of the city. The bird was about to attack when an Ice Beam from a Vaporeon knocked it unconscious. Nemo had followed Lesley and intended to bring him straight back home. However, Lesley didn't want to leave the poor Spearow alone and unconscious. So he picked it up and carried it off to the Cerulean Pokémon Center. When the Spearow was all healed up it demanded a rematch from Nemo. It was during this "rematch" that Lesley's parents arrived at the Pokémon Center. Of course a single Ice Beam took care of Spearow, but Lesley's father had his own say to make. A Pokeball flew from his hand and claimed the bird. He then gave the Pokeball to his son. It was "his own Pokémon", he said. Since Nemo wouldn't always be around to protect him.

Later in his life the small family took a trip to Four Island, where Lesley's mother was from. Nobody told the boy, but the entire trip was made because his mother wasn't doing very well. Doctors assumed she wasn't going to be around much longer, and recommended that she do whatever she could with what remained of her time. She decided to visit her home and her family that lived there. Lesley decided to go on another one of his little adventures, along with Nemo and his Spearow, and journeyed into the Icefall Cave. But this time as he was about to be attacked by a Sneasel he just sort of… vanished. Into thin air. He of course didn't know this; he simply passed out and went unconscious.

Little does the boy know, he's about to wake up to find himself halfway across the globe.

    GUARDIAN
    Spoiler:

    Name: Ivan Rendell

    Age: 25

    Gender: Male

Occupation: Pokemon Trainer/Wandering Go getter; basically Ivan takes random jobs from everyone anyone for payment or personal satisfaction since he found the gym challenges boring after his 2nd Gym Leader tour.

Personality: Despite looking average and run of the mill, Ivan is the opposite. Ivan considers himself "a man of common sense with a strong desire to live life to the fullest." He is eccentric yet laid back. Enlightening yet idiotic. Rash yet resourceful. Ivan prefers to approach life with an open, optimistic look, seeing negativity as something better wasted on marriage (that being said, Ivan is the bit of the ladies man). He is carefree and laid back, taking life as it comes or as some say "go with the flow". Ivan typically improvises, making up everything as he goes gone seeing planning as something that wastes time. Ivan prefers action over debate and as a result is a bit of anarchist, holding many problems and disagreements with the established systems of government. Ivan tries his best to remain calm and collected at all times, only expressing his opinions and desires at best and acting on them in a controlled manner as not upset the status quo. However, he is known to be a ball of pent up emotion and if he loses control he is a juggernaut of passion and desire, and he lets his emotions take over (this is often tied to extreme anger, desire, or sadness so he will act accordingly).

Ivan is considered by many to be a lazy genius. While he is an expert in the world of "street smarts" due to his experience in the real world and down to earth mentality, he fails in the intellectual department having barely passed high school (assuming there is one in this world) with a C average. He has conveyed the sense that is fairly lazy in all aspects of life, but he considers this a strength in that he knows to relax and doesn't let stress bother him. That being said, Ivan is confident in his talents and abilities, always approaching new challenges that intrigue him with enthusiasm and desire to succeed. However, if he is uninterested by something he will immediately turn it down in favor of something more...."out there".

Even though Ivan is down to earth, Ivan is spiritually inclined. He believes in the forces of karma, believing that those who do good will receive good things in return and vice versa. As a result, Ivan has a strong moral desire to be good as a possible and follows what he believes is right at the given moment. By adopting this world philosophy, he has experienced his own share of experiences and considers himself "world weary" knowing how the world operates on some level (but don't ask him about complicated stuff like politics) . He remains optimistic despite that and always believe someone can do good in some way, making him somewhat naive and innocent.

Ivan is an expressive, childish individual and his interactions with others reflects that. Ivan has be known to say things during the spur of the moment, causing his speech feel ranty and unintelligent, giving the impression that he improvises his speech as much as his own actions. He speaks with a calm, relaxed tone until he feels need to turn up the volume to get a point across, often incorporating body language into the mix. While some consider him immature because of this, he can be serious during times that call for it usually by placing a stern face on and actually thinking about what he is going to say before actually saying it.

Overall, Ivan is a man with a good heart that is both adaptable and fun to be around, despite his reckless, childish behavior that leads more harm than good.

Appearance: Ivan has a standard appearance typical to that of men of his era and region, meaning he doesn't stand out in crowds, a trait he rather enjoys. He stands at about 5"10 with a strong and capable body weighing in at about 180 pounds. From head to toe, his features make him appear like any other male with few remarkable or special features. At first glance, his most notable features are his long legs and arms each with their own level of muscle tone, suggesting his more than skin and bones but also giving his body odd proportions with his short torso and broad head. His skin, while naturally white as a sheet, is a natural light tan giving him a not so sickly white look. In summary, he looks like a young man who is in love with the beach.

Looking at his head and face, Ivan carries a young bright expression on his face that can be easily seen due to his fairly short unkempt sun bleached blonde hair, that remains out of his face so he can fully experience the world in front of him. The hot blowing air barely reaches his ears and his neck is fully exposed to nature due to his hair's length and natural flowing nature. Ivan's eyes are an emerald green with a certain shine that reveals a free nature to them. His face is fairly youthful with a little bit of facial hair sticking out due to his laziness on shaving (he claims it is an unnecessary chore). He sports a single piercing, a sliver loop on his left ear lobe. This was a spur of the moment activity and Ivan often forgets it is there.

Ivan's clothes are fairly unoriginal and do anything but make him stand out. Due to Hoenn's tropical climate, Ivan's clothes have adapted in order to keep him from suffering from heat stroke or public embarrassment. To cover his tanned chest, Ivan wears a deep blue T-shirt with abstract white designs to add some character to an otherwise plain shirt. There appears to be no real style or purpose of the designs and are little more than random lines and words to designate the brand of T-shirt. Ivan's lower body is protected by the same brand of unoriginal glory as a pair of grey jeans have been picked to dress that particular region, and a plain leather belt keeps them embarrassingly crashing to the floor for whatever reason. The belt is also home to his pokeballs, which total 5 in number.

Ivan holds himself in high regard, standing tall and holding his head up when he walks. However, he tends to walk casually and calmly sending people mixed messages. He always has a smile on his face and speaks calmly in most situations unless emotionally stirred which with his lax and carefree attitude rarely occurs. Ivan has a single additional accessory in the form of a pair of sunglass built in the sports style with ebony black lenses. He learned to wear them constantly due to the experience of fighting Hoenn's sun.

History: Ivan came from a run of the mill home in a run of the mill city with run of the mill parents. Born in Pacifidlog Town, Ivan spent the earliest years of his life being home-schooled by his mother and father. During these times, Ivan learned about the wonders of nature and earned a level of respect for life, law and ethnics and the value of freedom. He became cultured despite the relative lack of mass media and the so called culture of urban life. However, his easy, carefree life was ruined when he was about 10 when his parents believed that moving to a more civilized home would prove vital for their son's future. Their new destination was Slateport City.

At Slateport, Ivan attended the public school system starting in middle school. Ivan found a hard time adjusting in high school due to the culture shock he faced. Suddenly he felt contained and lost so much of the freedom he valued back in the rural area of Pacifidlog Town. Ivan frequently got in trouble with his peers and the figures of authority, including law enforcement and teachers. He would cut class, get into fights and publicly express his distaste for the public system of government (in his later years after he gained some wisdom). As a means of attempting to infuse responsibility and maturity in their son, his parents gifted with a Pokemon. His father was gifted a Riolu by his distant cousin who heard of Ivan's rebellious nature. At 12, Ivan questioned the purpose of the exercise but realized it was cool to have a Pokemon and accepted the gift. Raising the Riolu returned Ivan to his calmer state and infused a level of maturity that was lost over the years due to the change in the environment. Ivan's behavior was controlled (though still reckless) and he grew up into a fine young man with his Pokemon at his side. By the time he graduated, Riolu evolved into Lucario and Ivan grew out his troublemaker fad into more of a punk ass adult that enjoyed an act of mischief here and there. Upon graduation however, Ivan felt lost and confused unaware of where to go with his life. His father, wanting the best for his son, suggested wandering the world for several years until something speaks to Ivan's heart. Ivan pondered the suggestion for a few days before taking his father's advice. Ivan saw opportunity in the idea and accepted the invitation.

For the next 7 years, Ivan traveled the world with Lucario (now named Luke) being his best friend and brother, guiding him along the more socially acceptable path. Ivan first traveled the world of Hoenn which he would spend the next several months of his life and ironically leave on his 19th birthday, capturing a select few Pokemon and accepting the Gym Leader Challenge. Despite successfully defeating the 8 gyms of Hoenn, Ivan failed to get very far in the Pokemon League losing in the second round to some random trainer. Ivan then traveled to the land of Johto after hearing on their own Pokemon League system. He would spend an entire year in Johto, training his Pokemon and gathering skills needed for his next career path. In the last few months of Johto tour, Ivan collected the 8 badges (with extreme difficulty when facing Clair) and entered the Pokemon league. Here Ivan would ascend the Semi-finals before ultimately losing to a trainer from Pallet town. Taking the defeat fairly hard, Ivan decided that with his current mindset and talent pool that competitive battling was not his cup of tea and needed to gain more experience before reaching paramount success. At the age of 20, Ivan resolved that he wander the regions of the Pokemon world with open eyes and seek odd jobs as a means of gaining experience and possibly acquire some new Pokemon along the way.

His recent adventures have brought him to Sinnoh, where his making his current residence the Pokemon Center in Veilstone City, since he lacks money.

Other: Ivan has commented by many to have talents in "Aura", the mystical force often connected to the Lucario. However, due to his lack of training and focus is not very skilled in it. It is believed that he has this potential due to the fact he has spent over 10 years with his Lucario. His talents are limited to reading minds of those with an open mind to begin with.

    Pokemon

    Nickname: Luke
    Species: Lucario
    Gender: Male
Age: 15 (spent about 13 years with Ivan)
Physical Quirks: Luke is slightly darker than the rest of his species, with his fur being closer to a dark blue and the black closer to ebony. His spikes are closer sharper than most, possibly due to his experience in combat.
Personality: Luke's personality is far different than Ivan's in that, Luke is far more serious and controlled, and at times as shown to be intelligent and calculating. He is less emotional and more logical, preferring to rely on having an established plan and course of action, compared to Ivan's "wing it" mentality. Luke is known to be colder and less empathic than Ivan, while also valuing raw victory over a moral accomplishment. Luke remains loyal and obedient to Ivan (while also being incredibly protective of his master) despite disagreements and acts with honor and pride. Despite his cold exterior, Luke is a valued and trusted friend who has shown the ability to comfort people. He has taken the position as leader of Ivan's party, as he is able to directly communicate with the Pokemon and Ivan through telepathy thanks to the abilities of "aura".
History: Luke was obtained as a Riolu in an attempt to infuse a sense of maturity in Ivan. The experiment worked to say the least and the two have developed a brotherly relationship. A skilled fighter and a valuable source of second opinions, Luke has proven to be Ivan's most reliable friend and ally.
Other: Luke is frequently seen out of his ball and follows Ivan around, unless injured and/or tired.

    Nickname: Junior (actually name Ivan)
    Species: Umbreon
    Gender: Male
    Age: 10
    Physical Quirks: None
Personality: Junior, in a sense, bears a similar base personality to Ivan himself, with small deviations. Junior is more reckless and more instinctive than Ivan is. Raw emotion and passion power Junior's actions, and he will often to ignore the laws of the land to act on these desires. This tendency has landed Ivan in trouble several times, relying on his skills of communication to get out of the worst cases. Recently, Junior has learned to control himself though he will act out in severe cases. Junior trusts Ivan and relies on him for guidance and in turn, he is very loyal to him and his original owner. Ivan is the most comforting Pokemon Ivan has and uses him as a means of remembering who is and where he came from.
History: Junior was obtained as a gift from Ivan's longtime childhood friend and eventual girlfriend. Before setting off to explore the world, Ivan's girlfriend, Eve, came to him offering him, her Eevee that her mother gave her when she was 15. She named the Pokemon after her boyfriend, Ivan. Questioning the gift, Ivan eventually caved in after she cried expressing her desire to feel as if she was protecting them. Since then, "Ivan" was renamed "Junior" and grew up to become Ivan's most powerful Pokemon following his evolution the night before his battle in the Pokemon League of Hoenn.
Other: It took several years for Junior to get used to his new name. As a result, he enjoys being called Ivan from time to time. He also enjoys visits to Slateport to see his original trainer.

    Nickname: Flamberge
    Species: Typhlosion
    Gender: Male
    Age: 6
Physical Quirks: The flames on Flamberge's shoulders are slightly larger and have a distinct red color, over the standard orange.
Personality: Flamberge is a typical fire type, having an extreme passion for life and battle. Of all the members of Ivan's team, he loves fighting the most and expresses pride and confidence in his abilities. An active Pokemon, Flamberge is frequently outside his ball in times that Ivan feels it is safe to let him out (seeing as how he seeks combat and training opportunities). Flamberge is the most rebellious and least obedient probably due to his fast growth and young age.
History: Flamberge was obtained upon Ivan's arrival in Johto where he lied about his lack of experience with Pokemon and the desire to travel across the vast lands. The professor at the lab believed his story and he walked out with a free Pokemon and a Pokedex. Since, Flamberge has been a part of the team and quickly grew up to be a mainstay on Ivan's team and a powerful fighter in his own right.
Other: His rather enjoys long walks on the beach. Just a random fact.

    Nickname: Lara
    Species: Lapras
    Gender: Female
Age: Currently Unknown; Expected to be at least 20.
    Physical Quirks: None.
Personality: Lara is very typical for a member of its species. She is docile, calm and peaceful and it is easily pleased from the praise it receives from Ivan. While she is not a fan of combat, Lara has shown to very capable in combat and will defend herself when she needs to. She is very intelligent and understands Ivan's every word (not needing any commands dumbed down). She is less active than the rest but enjoys any time she is outside of the Pokeball.
History: Lara was originally obtained simply because Ivan needed a means of traveling between continents without a ship (seeing on how Ivan lacks funds). A difficult capture due to the rarity and elusive nature of Lapras, Ivan got a lucky toss in and captured the Pokemon. It took some time for the two develop a strong relationship, but in due time, they become close.
Other: Originally Lara hated being used for the sole purpose of transport despite the species' nature. Over time, she got used to it as Ivan warmed up to her sweet nature.

    Nickname: Draco
    Species: Salamence
    Gender: Male
Age: Currently Unknown; Expected to very old
Physical Quirks: Draco is larger than other members of his species by a significant amount, standing at roughly 5"6 over the typical 4"11.
Personality: Draco is not a typical Salamence. Most are vicious, prideful, and terrorizing. Draco is more calm and patient than others and its arrogance is in check, coming off as confidence over pride. Draco is powerful and invokes fear in his opponents and enjoys battle, but it is not his commanding desire. Draco is loyal to his master, but if it in the heat of battle he will sometimes slip into behavior more typical of his species. Draco is an experienced battler and is well versed in the art of war, making Draco a clutch battler.
History: Draco was obtained in the classical fashion of a Pokemon capture as a Shelgon during Ivan's travels through Hoenn. Since then, he has trained then evolved during his travels with Ivan. He has never been used in a Gym leader battle, but makes quick work of the various trainers than have challenged Ivan over the years.
Other: Ivan suspects Draco spent several decades as a Shelgon, never once getting the opportunity to evolve.

    Guardian

    Name: Kaya
    Species: Kyogre
    Gender: Female
Personality: For all intents and purposes, Kaya is calm and peaceful but also wise and intelligent. Somewhat sarcastic, she can also be incredibly critical and criticizing those who appear to be careless and out of control. She can be benevolent and will actually pass on her wisdom in a form of education, however is its only when the certain individual proves his/her worth to Kaya that she will actually pass on her knowledge to him/her. Despite that, Kaya is non-chalant and easy going for the most part. She is slow to anger but when she is stirred enough she is known to be dangerous and relentless, known to be insulting and violent.
"Reasoning": Kaya sees that Ivan shares similar characteristics to herself, being that they generally "go with the flow" and have some level of passion for things they care about. Therefore, Kaya believes there will not be many confrontations and they can actually accomplish something. With Ivan's reckless and fearless nature and Kaya's wisdom, their united ability may be able to accomplish something.
