Ferno was still sitting there - legs folded and concentrating. Now that a few others had woken up, meditiating was slightly harder. He gave it another five minutes, and then decided to call it quits. He opened his eyes and was met by the Lake Verity landscape. Glancing over to the side, he noticed his trainer missing. The Infernape stood up and looked around for him. It took no longer than a few seconds to see him standing by the lakeside, staring.
But infact, his eyes were closed. Bryon was concentrating.
-----
"This infection, this 'parasite', you're saying it has corrupted Arceus?" Bryon asked as he looked up again to the perched giant.
"Not fully," the Ho-oh responded, "Arceus is still conscious, but his powers grow weaker as time goes on - not even Dialga can reverse such a thing." This was a serious matter,
"So what can I do? Or any of the other people here for that matter?" Bryon asked, still bemused by the scale of the problem,
"You must all fight, as will we - the legends that protect our great creator with our lives," Gerukai said in return, his deep voice now with a hint of determination, "Together you must travel to Mt. Coronet's peak. There, we will help Arceus..."
The bird flew off into the distance, leaving Bryon where he stood. The human closed his eyes...
... and reopened them, blinking slightly at the light. He was staring out into Lake Verity again. Next to him was Ferno, who had obviously finished meditating,
"Nice to see you," Bryon casually said to the Infernape. He walked back to where everyone was lying, and saw that a few had now woken up. About time too.
