Wait?! Both mine and Cheese_Boy's edits were legitamate. We did not JUST recolor it, we also added new features and whatnot. I added a new tail and Cheese_Boy added Electabuzz's stripes. Sorry but I'm outta here, stop twisting the rules.

Stripes are a recolor... and changing the color to yellow was unnecessary, and therefore, skipped, as per the rules.

That basically rules out everything because you are recoloring the different pixels to create something new. Adding stripes is NOT recoloring.

Um... No.

Start from here:

Adding Electabuzzes color is a recolor, it's not a touch up, it's not adding anything but a stripe, which in turn is simply turning part of the body another color. It's like saying adding a random Pink stripe is a valid change, because it could be called a Milotic stripe.

RECOLORING and adding things are completely different things. Altering shapes of things, etc. Stripes do not alter the shape. And the recolor that altered the shape, as I said, was skipped because making her yellow was useless.

It was relevant.
It was going with the current flow of adding patterns to her body.

The yellow colouring was unnecessary, but you could add just the stripes and be fine, I suppose.

It was skipped because you added a pointless recolor. No matter how much awesomeness you may or may not add to a sprite, recoloring it pointless is grounds for skipping.

You don't seem to get what the rules me by "relevant"

A relevant recolour would be something like, if the first person added fire somewhere to the sprite, followed by the next person adding a flaming tail. Then the next person could have a relevant recolour by giving the sprite Charizards colours, thus making it a full re-type.

The only relevance an Electabuzz's colours could have had is that there was a Voltorb hanging off her antennae. Maybe if we had more electric parts, it would have been relevant

At least, that's how I see it, feel free to correct me if I'm wrong.

After seeing the tail feathers I thought 'Flying Lanturn' so I gave it baloons like Flying Pikachu.
Except their Electrode baloons to match the theme and I gave them expressions XD.

It was somewhat relevant, but it wasn't 100% necessary.

If anything, it's borderline overediting.

Keep your edits small, please. If you want to completely edit a sprite into something else, then just make your own sprite and put it in your own showcase thread.

If you wanted to make an Electabuzz-patterned Lanturn, you're more than welcome to put one in your own sprite thread. Just the stripes would have been sufficient.

@ashandmisty: Your tail also broke another rule--

Do not undo a previous person's edit. You may modify their edit, but do not simply remove it for no good reason.

It replaced Lornami's tail edit. :\

Though, his edit falls in a grey area of the rules, since it could be taken as relevant, but.. I don't know. It also kinda falls under overediting... Whatever, it's way too late to go back to that edit now, so I think we should all just move on.
