Hey there!

This is one of those topics that get a bit fuzzier to decide whether they work better here in Pokemon Gaming Central or in another forum (in this case, the Legends Arceus forum).

Considering this will be very much a discussion about the merits of Legends Arceus and most people that can participate in the discussion will be hanging around over there anyway, I'll be moving this thread over there.

As a rule of thumb, when dealing with remakes / reimaginings, if the discussion is primarily a comparison of "new game" (e.g.: Legends Arceus) with "older games with the same theme" (e.g.: DPP or BDSP), the forum for the specific game (or Previous Generations if the game's not current generation) is probably a more appropriate place to post.

Past! I was not the biggest fan of modern-day Sinnoh since I found the layout a bit boring, but Hisui has been great. Learning about the lore of the region has made me attached and I'm a big fan of it back in the day. Sure it's more empty, but it is so vast and I love seeing what it was like hundreds of years ago and making the connections between the Hisui areas and modern day Sinnoh. So count me for past. ❤️

I haven't explored much of Hisui yet, but it seems pretty amazing. Sinnoh is my fav region, so I'd like to see how Sinnoh inspired Hisui and how much of Hisui still lives in modern days Sinnoh.

I love the past far more than modern. With modern, everything seems more natural and not just thrown around. When we see ruins in the past, the ruins are actual ruins and not just some cave. I also love how, even though we aren't in modern day Sinnoh, we can tell or have an idea of where all the cities, towns, lakes, and caves are.

One thing I have always loved about video games, whether it is an MMO or a JRPG, is ruins. I love seeing the ruins and wondering how things were before everything came to be? What happened to those places? Why are the ruins so big or small? Something I loved about past pokemon games was the Sinjoh Ruins that is said to be between Sinnoh and Johto and where settlers established. It was one thing I was hoping to see in Legends, but I think Sinjoh happened so far ago. The Regis have also always been a massive interest to me.

I would say the grasses are always greener on the other side. If you asked the people of the past they'll say they prefers the modern ways of living and conveniences, while you're asking people like us now, we would much prefers going back to all the simpler and slow-paced stress-free (Well, not as stressed) way of living for sure.

I would really say I prefers the old Hisui era too, because everything are more or less handmade, it has more natural things and less buildings, and I would say the air, climate and environment are so much healthier to be in than modern days.
