Can't enforce the one post per IP rule if we do PMs.

Unless it was made that a subforum was made somewhere, which had very specific permissions.

A person could make a thread... and could read/edit their own, but not others.

EDIT: Yeah, that could potentially work. As long as there was a way to hide the votes from everyone except the mods making the lists.

EDIT #2: If you could do this for the Member of the Month as well, would be a cool idea.

I don't think that type of forum would be that hard to set up, ne?
 
I think it sounds like a good idea. I know a few others who were hesitant to vote or who did not vote because they had so many friends who were running and they didn't want to hurt their feelings.

A forum like that is real easy to set up, I could do that in 2-5 mins.
 
I think that is something you should seriously consider, it could change the election on who wins and doesn't and so on and so forth.
 
its kinda sounds like a poll with hidden results... but this sounds okay

edit: BTW i have running totals offline, i wont tell them till the end, but the number of votes from 1st-10th place is= 10-5 votes, so the elections is getting tougher to be in top ten and stay there... Brittany is in the lead by 1 vote! its that close
 
But I don't like the idea of just having it for this event. I know it was said up there to have it for the MOTM but every month it will be filled with last month's votes for the Mods. And members does MOTM too so they will be able to see who voted for them last month or the month before if they are counting. And if we delete the posts then PC's post count will go down and questions will be asked about why it droped so quick.
 
Simple, set the forum to not count posts.

And if it were to be done for MOTM... you could always make whoever is running it the mod (they don't have to gain access to the lounge) for the counting period. =/
 
That is spam, you are not suppose to double post.
 
Who won the elections, srry, but I'm using a comp fast cause of hurriocane.
 
I think you should have PMed that to Andy, Blissey, instead of letting everyone who reads this know.
