PC WiFi Tournament

Bill, I was wondering if all non ubers legends should be allowed in the next tournament. I don't see the non uber legends are more powerful than the current OU pokemon. When you first started your tourneys, you didn't allow any non ubers legends at all, till I raised the subject. If it wasn't for me, this tourney may have still not allowed legends at all. However I'm just suggesting again, you may wanna have another poll like you did before.

Mm and just like the last poll on this, I'll member initiate it ^_^ :P

A team of Celebi, Zapdos, Moltres, Regirock, Suicune and Blissey can be pretty flipping annoying to deal with. Sure, I guess someone can beat them, I've beaten legend teams before, including some uber teams with regular Pokemon. It's always possible, but does anyone really want to deal with that? No..no they don't.

I think the rule where we stick with one OU under legendary per team makes perfect sense. It's enough for any trainer to handle and still gives those trainers who like using them an ace in the hole.

Sure I could make a annoying team without any non uber legends in it. Annoying to deal with isn't a great answer. A team full of non uber legends ain't as powerful as you ppl think it is.

Why does it make perfect sense to only use one legend per team? I have to disagree, it's like saying they are more powerful than than the standard OU pokemon, when they are on the same level.

The only reason I can see why anyone would want to use more than, say 2, on their team is simply because they either don't have the patience and respect to train normal Pokemon or they don't have/are losing confidence in their own teams. I mean people use teams comprised of Blissey, Skarmory, Garchomp, Gyarados, Tyranitar and something that explodes or they add another sweeper into that. That alone is obnoxious enough and plenty to deal with, let's add a Celebi to the mix and we've got an even more annoying challenge on our hands.

I know you said annoying isn't a good answer. I agree. I just don't understand why people would be bored with Pokemon enough to just raise a team comprised of sweepers and OU legends. Have some variety. Think and act like a real Pokemon trainer.

None of this applies to you Prince, of course :P I'm just stating some facts. It seems like tournaments like this would be so dull if they were won everytime by people using teams that stall with Suicune, annoy with Celebi, defend with a Regi, and then run a Zapdos/Moltres/Speed Deoxys sweep group.

Of course people can deal with these Pokemon but face it: these are legendary Pokemon that all have great power and abilties and on top of all of that, most of them with excellent defenses. You can't compare the popular standard OU and BL guys to that of Registeel, Heatran and Jirachi. They just aren't equal.

It seems perfectly normal to base your team with one standard legendary. That way you can have your power craze if you're worried some other parts of your team won't work out or just because it's one of your favorite Pokemon, and still be playing like a true strategist that doesn't need that extra oomph to make some noise in a tournament.
 
First off, I'd like to thank you two for bringing this up. As I have been considering yet another rule rewriting before the start of the next tourney.

I have been considering changing the rule based on the tiers:

2 UU legends: Articuno, Phione

10 BL legends: Moltres, Raikou, Entei, Regice, Regirock, Registeel, Mesprit, Uxie, Regigigas, Shaymin

8 OU legends: Zapdos, Suicune, Celebi, Jirachi, Speed Deoxys, Azelf, Heatran, Cresselia

18 Uber legends: Mewtwo, Mew, Lugia, Ho-oh, Latias, Latios, Groudon, Kyogre, Rayquaza, Deoxys(all but Speed), Dialga, Palkia, Giratina, Manaphy, Darkrai, Arceus


There is a good chance I'll remove Articuno & Phione from the list before the next Tourney. I may remove the BL's from the list too, though I doubt it. As for the OU's, they shall remain on the list, no matter what. ^^

That seems fair. They might be legends, but I think their tier defines them more than their "legendness"

And another plus, T_S wouldn't be so angry about not getting to use his best team ^_^

How about unbanning Azelf and heatran from that list, they aren't as powerful as others and are easy to counter. E.g Azelf will always be defeated by weavile's pursuit regardless. Heatran doesn't give much of a pain like the rest of the NON UBER legends OU'S you have listed.

As for my tourney battles, I probably be able to battle late Saturday night ( not sure yet, I have a party to attend to) or late Sunday late. Just letting those people know.

I tried to set up a time to meet up but you never replied with a time :P

That's beacuse, I don't even know your timezone, so how am I suppose to give you a time which will suit you too. hmm anyways, like I said I'm able to battle during the weekend only, however we could battle on Monday till you get back. Have a nice vacation...bye then
 
ok sorry for jumping to conclusion. i have no idea when im getting it. parents are being retarted atm blaming me for the charger braking when they're teh ones who let my cousins play with it.
 
I'm getting both my singles and hopefully both doubles matches done tomorrow.

My UU matches will be a little later in the week, but I give my word there'll be no extensions here.
