Unless he magically becomes an OT mod then, no. You still need to work, young man. >:(

Can either the vote taker or host send me the votes when the voting period is over so I can distribute emblems? Kthnxgaiz~

Well I think Netto might have meant the sending out emblems part seeing as in I could do that now, but traditionally, the OT mod would send the emblems out so I think you guys should do it even if I am the host. Regardless, there's not a great deal of work to be done. Swift! should have the votes and will send on the results as soon as they can I assume. I'll need to contact them anyway to ensure everything is running smoothly.

I'm getting hyped. I wanna change my profile now. XDDD;

But oh well. I haven't cast my votes yet. :X

Oh actually, on that note, I'll need to note that there should be a rule added to the next competition.
If you enter as a normal member and either become staff or a supporter along the way of the competition, you may not change your profile if the voting has started (as normal) but as long as it hasn't you may but you must notify the host so that they can add you to the other category. Thanks.

I suggest that you and the next host revise the rules and add to it where you see fit. Once looked over, send them to either me or Netto and we can check as well, to make sure the rules bring about the fairest contest possible and see if there needs to be any alterations.

Sometime today, I will post a notice in OT for any members who entered to vote if they haven't done so already. If you want something particular put in there, just tell me and I'll pop it in.

o_o Thought I made a rule way back in Contest number two saying that you weren't allowed to change your profile at all, even if you were promoted, but you'd still be regarded as a normal member, so it would be fair... not sure if I worded that right.

Anyways, I voted. =D Good luck to all you guys!

I thought I had that covered under this here rule in the last PPC:

"To enter, simply post here indicating that you wish to do so. You can change your profile any way you like before the voting period. After that, you may not change it in any way."

Maybe it needs rewording? ;_;

No no you did, but it's those who become supporters or staff during the contest who might forget and try get their perks on right away :p

Well, if they forget that they're in the contest and they change their profile after the voting as started, wouldn't that technically be disqualified either way? Because some people may have already voted, and may or may not have voted for them, and/or already had. Right now, even though a normal is now a supporter, it's right for them to be in normal because that is when the profile was designed and when the voting period started.

I think what Jordan has stated in the rules is probably the closest as it can get to fair. Unless what you're saying that if - before the voting period - someone changes from normal to staff/supporter and then change their profile, they contact the person to switch to the correct group.

/just came back from hiking and is dehydrated. sorry if she said obvious or what you really mean. xD;

Well, I agree with Tara here. I mean, wouldn't it be quite unfair if the person who was actually a non-supporter having the highest chances of winning gets transferred over to the other group and loses? And that too just because he donated/became a mod? D:

For example, there's this guy 'Crusher' who took part as a non-supporter. He entered with this profile:
Spoiler:

Now suppose that the non-supporters category doesn't really have any good contenders and 'Crusher' has the highest chances of winning the contest. But while the contest was going on, he thought of donating and became a supporter. If we go by that rule, he'll now be competing with the supporters who're far better than him and hold a big advantage due to the fact that they can actually add backgrounds. Now this poor guy 'Crusher' can't even use his perks to form a whole new profile as he might get disqualified. That'd be really bad and in a way..quite unfair. Thus, I don't think that if a person becomes a 'Mod/Supporter' while PPC is in process, he should be shifted to the supporters category. Hence, I vote against it. The 'new' rule, I mean. D:

And yeah, iirc, a supporter can actually participate as a 'non-supporter' if he agrees not to use his supporter perks. That happened in the contest which took place in October(?), I think. A member called 'Sasuke' actually participated as a non supporter even though he wasn't actually a non-supporer.

I think it'll be most fair to keep things the way they are: not letting people change their profiles until the voting is over and keep them in the same category as they entered. Otherwise, the vote count would be unnecessarily complicated.

Yeah, that'd make things harder for both the contestants and the hosts/vote takers. Better for everybody if no rule like that's implemented, I suppose.

It was just something that needed to be mentioned. People just need to remember not to be tempted into changing their profile and using images and bigger profile pictures upon donating/being promoted is all.

Yeah, I think I know where you're coming from, Gav. ;]

Anyways, I'd be happy to host/take votes for the next one. Just sayin'.

Yupp 3 days left including today. So, the day after tomorrow is the day of judgement.

26 hours left? I think.

Then again counting fails me.

But however I'll probably lose, so yay?

Ayo, not long to go till, as Gav calls it, 'the day of judgement'. So, a final good luck to all who are in the competition!

Looks like people have started to wonder who the next host/votekeeper are going to be. Just putting it out there, I'd happily step in as either (though preferably votekeeper) if a person is needed. Just saying. ^^
