I am not exactly sure if this topic fits in the OVP, so if you deem it irrelevant to the said sub-forum, do delete it or move it if that's possible.

What is your stance on piercings? Do you like to put some if you can? Or you just find it silly and inappropriate?

I don't have any, but I don't think there's anything wrong with them unless they're horrible like corset piercings, I think they're called? I'm not gonna post them in here but google image it if you're feeling brave! I really think that, in general, piercings can look great on people and if that's the case then I say, 'why not'? If it makes you look better and does no real harm then I can't see a problem at all.

I don't think I will ever end up getting them. I did once consider an ear piercing but I decided it wasn't really worth it and it might give the wrong impression of me in the end, and I don't think I'd have one in the future either. In the ear is definitely the only place I'd even consider one.

I've debated on getting piercings, but then again I don't feel like getting judged. Other than that, I have no problem with others who have piercings, I don't judge, everyone has different tastes and I'm fine with it.

Piercings are cool, but I can't be bothered to get them because I hear that they hurt the first time you get them.

^^ Piercings aren't that bad.

I got angel bites, which are two lip piercings on the top. The dude messed 'em up and put 'em too low. I couldn't even eat comfortably with them.

Triple Helix on Both Ears
Industrial

Lobes, Gauged
Vampire Bites(a loose barbell in the side of your neck, looks like a vampire bit you when it's taken out)
&& OF course, my precious arm sleeve tattoo.

But i wouldn't recommend getting any piercings or tattoos while intoxicated, and to think about them hard, because they could end up being pretty permanent.

Personally, I think piercings are cool. It's not really my cup of tea, though. I have my ears pierced and that's all I want.

Got to be careful if you get them, because a lot of jobs don't like visible piercings besides the ears. If you get hired, you'll have to worry about taking them out when you work. I had a co-worker like that and he tended to forget a lot anyway... Although you can luck out and get a job where it totally fits in. :p

At least it's easy to get rid of piercings; you just don't wear it anymore. (I assume they're all like that but I could be wrong.) Can't say the same thing for tattoos.

I used to not like piercings in general beyond the ears, but I'm warming up to them. I'm still not going to sport any on my lips or anything like that because I'm more of a plain person, but I'm seeing how they can be pretty good looking on people.

I think the whole thing about having to remove them for a job is a little outdated. I wouldn't care if someone serving me had piercings. It's pretty common today.

I don't have any piercings, though I don't have a problem with them. I wouldn't get them myself though, because I don't really have any yearning for them intense enough to put myself through any measure of pain :P

I typically like most piercings although I don't think many of them would look good on me. If anything the most apparent one I think I could get away with would be dimple piercings since mine are really noticeable. I only have my ears pierced twice on both sides which isn't unusual at all. I would definitely get more ear piercings though if I could get myself to spend the money on them. Not a fan of gauges though!

ive got both my ears pierced and plan to get them gauged to something around a 10 or 8. i dont want to pierce anything else but id like to get a tattoo of a squid across my chest shoulder and back.

I don't mind if someone else has them, and I wouldn't mind having them myself, but there are certain piercings that I don't really care for...such as bullrings, tongue piercings, belly button piercings, piercings in areas that SHOULD NOT be pierced... .____.

I'm want to get gauges, myself, though. Not overly huge ones that go down to my shoulders. Just small ones, about the size of my earphone bud.

I have no piercings and find them to be quite the turn off, to be honest. Especially large ear gauges. There are a few piercings I can tolerate, but most of them, I dislike. Ear piercings are fine, small gauges, eh, okay I'll deal. Small nose rings (like...the tiny stud lol) are fine too. But snake bites, angel bites, big ear stretchin' stuff, etc. yeeeah no. I'm kinda plain and boring, yeah. lol

Not really a big fan of piercings. People can get as many piercings as they want, by all means I'm not against people getting piercings, but personally I just think they look a little lame/stupid.

Most of them i don't really mind, but i think theres a limit. like for example strechers, unless its those really teeny ones i think they look disgusting. Can you imagine yourself at 30 and have big dangling ear lobes? :S
Also tongue piercings i think are annoying, they pretty much just ruin your speech for a bit. plus most of the time you cant even see it ¬.¬

A simpe single earring piercing is fine. I don't really care for large amounts of piercings, especially in places like the tongue.

With that said, the prospect of getting anything pierced sounds too painful for me to get anything pierced, even my ear lobe.

I think piercings are pretty cool. I have a few myself - one cartilage, two on each earlobe, and my nose - and although I'd never get other facial piercings such as lip ones myself, I like them on other people. They just don't suit me too well. I'm hoping to get an industrial done one of these days, though.

I certainly don't find them silly or inappropriate, but rather just another way for people to express themselves.
