Pirates Vs. Ninjas; Who would win?

    It's an age old argument, that will probably never be settled, but we can try.
    Who would win in a fight, a pirate or a ninja?
     
    We must also think of the medical side of this, most pirates would die of scurvy mid-battle. On the other hand, they have badass boats, and a shat load of cannons, although a ninja could sabotoge them.
    Also, if a Ninja somehow blows his cover, he's screwed, as he has very light armor, and the entire ship would come after him.
     
    If a Ninja blows his cover easily and then cannot use his surroundings to hide himself again or win, he isn't a Ninja is he. Plus real Ninjas have undershirts to protect them. Ninjas whoop Pirates easy.
     
    It depends on how they compete. A pirate would definitely win an eating contest any day of the week and if it were a fashion contest I'd still bet the pirate would win because of all the bling they wear. Ninjas are pretty boring looking by comparison. A ninja would probably outrun a pirate in a footrace because all that bling weights a pirate down. A race through an obstacle course is probably 60/40 though since pirates are still pretty good at climbing ropes. A ninja would win at darts every time because darts are always played in pubs and a pirate would be drunk. I think a ninja would win a poetry contest, but that's just my opinion.
     
    lol no here is how it really would go down, in the real world.

    - Pirate would prob win eating contest.
    - Ninjas and Pirates are 45/55 on fashion because there are creative looking Ninjas (they don't HAVE to wear all black Ninja suits)
    - Ninja would win footrace even if the Pirate had a head start and wasn't wearing anything heavy, a Ninja is trained to be quick.
    - Obstacle race a Ninja would def win because a Ninja is also trained to climb rope, crawling on arms would be simple for them, and other hoops and such.
    - Ninja would win darts because they train accuracy and a Pirate shoots a canon at random.
    - Pirate would prob beat a Ninja in poetry because they always sing in rhythm at sea so poetry would be simple for them.

    Idk what Scarf has been watching but it certainly isnt helpful.
     
    IRL, Pirates. Real pirates have like guns and stuff. Plus, you can't really sneak up on a boat.

    Eye-patch, sword-wielding, shoulder-parrot fantasy pirates would lose, especially to magical movie ninjas.
     
    Real Ninjas have guns if they want as well (although most think guns are immoral) and shurikens and bows. Real Ninjas would beat Fantasy Movie Pirates, its just no challenge for them, and I can't see how people are comparing their abilities...Ninjas are hired to kill someone fast and are trained day and night to do so, were as a Pirate isn't trained at all and just drink and train loot from others that are weak and cannot defeat themselves. Ninjas vs Dragons would make more since.
     
    Pirates have always been around, still are and always will be, while ninja are limited to a specific part of a specific country's history. With the former saturating the latter's potential hiding places with machinegun fire and RPGs there's not really anywhere to hide, although if the ninja get the drop on them in leisure time they'd obviously win.

    It may as well be apples vs oranges. Neither ultimately wins, ever, as they are not comparable; although the fact that pirates are still around and evolving with the times makes me inclined towards them.
     
    Ninjas are obsolete. But, spies are not, even if all they do is gather information. And they seem to be derived from ninja in the way they operate. Don't let them know you're here, or if they do, don't let them know who you are. Very ninja in my book. If they ever decided to assassinate someone, they'd probably get it done. As such, Ninja > Pirate. =)
     
    I don't particularly see why they would be fighting eachother. They're both archetypal badasses that live outside the social norm and do whatever badass things come to mind...particularly killing things for money. XD

    If anything, I'd say that ninjas have a significant edge for their superior acrobatic and athletic abilities. They're not at home in a direct fight though, and pirates tend to carry guns more than ninjas do. My personal favoritism still goes ot ninjas though. :P

    You do know that the pirate singing is probably a bunch of crap, right.

    I think a piratewould win in a battle cuz with one bullet you could easily kill a ninja.

    lol You say "you do know" that the singing is "probably" so you contradicted yourself, stating a fact if probably wrong is just a guess.

    Ninjas would kill the Pirate before he fires, plus the Pirate is drunk and would miss a fast agile Ninja...Ninjas would whoop Pirates its a fact.
     
    The real question is, who would you rather fight, an angry European with a peg leg, an eyepatch and a beard, or an asian guy that can kill you with his freaking tongue.
     
    I would say Ninjas would win because they are faster and they have better fightning moves.
     
    Depends on where the terrain of battle is. If in a night-at-a-hotel on land situation, the ninja's stealth and cunning would surely render the pirate helpless. However, in a marine combat zone (especially if aboard a ship), the ninja doesn't have many places to run, and the pirate has more advanced combat technology such as guns.
     
    Ninja FTW! I was born on the Official Day of the Ninja so I'd have to go with that option anyway. But Ninjas have the ability to Kill in Silence and the ability to hide in the most impossible of places so Ninjas are what I go for
     
    Uuh, Ninjas?
    Come on, they're like ultra stealthy and the fact that this fight would probably be on a pirate ship, would give the ninjas an advantage, what with all the ropes etc going on everywhere.
