    Two things:
1 is it possible to get shinies in the game w/o trasfering
2 whats a good team to have on collisum(Through shadow pkmn not transfering pkmn)

    1. Yes - all shadow Pokemon have the same chance as normal to be a shiny - orbs or the such will appear if it is shiny.
    2. There is no exact 'good' team - but it isn't hard to construct one. Just don't have any Pokemon that have common weaknesses or anything, and possibly have some combos (e.g. rain dance/thunder/surf, earthquake with a flyer/levitater).
I'd stick with Espeon and Umbreon, have one of the Johto starters, and if you want it the easy way, stick any or all of the legendary dogs in as well. Otherwise, have a status poke (for snagging to become easier), such as Amphoros, and maybe another wall (say, Noctowl - works well), and theres practically a team.

    Hope I helped.

Espeon and Umbreon are given to you at the beginning and I reccommend keeping them.
Typhlosion/Feraligatr are decent and available early in the game.
Medicham (Meditite) is strong and remains decent unless it has a -spd nature. Give it Shadow Ball.
Miltank is useful, but is aquired late in the game.
All three Legendary Dogs (Entei, Suicune and Raikou) are incredibly good, but Suicune and Raikou work especially well together (Rain Dance-Thunder). Problem is, they are later in the game, aswell.

Just make sure you have some sturdy pokemon that can heal if you intend to snag pokemon later on.

Off-Topic: That sig is pretty big, I suggest getting it checked here.

let me share a team of mine and fix the problems:
    typhlosion
    meganium
    feraligatr
    suicune
    entei
    raikou
i know this is a typical team but it may help you(i change the weather when it's needed<take this into account)

That team however can only be aquired after one beats the storyline to get the other two starters... not to mention that there are some common weakness or types being shared (two fire and two water types)...
If it's for Mt Battle fair enough, but then again it isn't that hard (I used a Quagsire on my team!... and admittedly Raikou as well, but it was a piece of cake really, just long).

you mean mt battle colosseum(to get ho-oh) or in the storyline?
i i want to beat orre colosseum in solo battle(not competitive<i won this) and i always lose so i prepare the team to go again

did you stuck in the final trainer?i didn't.i had raikou in my team so i put it first.he sent out kyogre and i beat it with a ''simple'' thunder.it's super effective!(ohko)

Get rid of Shadow Pokemon? Either you mean change Pokemon (via the PC...), but I think you mean 'How does one purify' Shadow Pokemon, so that they no longer become Shadow Pokemon.
Firstly, their shadow metre must be depleted all the way, so it says that there is 'one final lock!' or something. Do this by walking with them, using them in battles, calling them when they enter Hyper state, or using colognes to massage them.

Then, you need to go to Agate village, and 'examine' the shrine in the forest, which will purify your Pokemon and make them normal again. You'll have to have been up to that part in the storyline however to be able to...

If you are doing the Colo battles in Colosseum mode as well, your Pokemon will have to be at level 50...

Purifying can take a long time especially on something like tyranitar. The time flutes are your friend. Also just walking around works out pretty decently, just takes a while.

If you are talking near the beggining of the game such as in Pyrite town, try these:

    Espeon
    Umbreon
    Quilava/Typhlosion
    Flaaffy/Ampharos
    [Some Grass Type]
    Quagsire

It's an unique mix and covers up most of the weaknesses.

But the powerful team that is obtainable later in-game is

    Suicune
    Entei
    Raikou
    Espeon
    Meganium
    Tyranitar

Witch I can beat almost everything, it also covers up weaknesses.
