Plague [PG-16]

Raike Destan
--------------
-Raike skidded back a few inches as he block a punch from the Machamp, he had to admit, it hurt like hell. Still it countinued to push him, so he pushed upward, breaking the lockup and sent a spin kick into the Machamps chest. It skidded back a few feet before recovering and glaring at him. Raike stole a quick glance in Miharu's direction, just to see if she was alright. She was, but also seemed to be talking to some other girl. As he look back toward the Machamp, he found that it had followed his eyes to Miharu, and started heading towards her. Raike growled, speeding after him and sending a kick to its jaw, making it jump a bit. Raven saw her chance and took it, Fireing a much larger shadow ball at it. It turned and tried to counter, but too late. It took the full force of the attack, slaming it against one of the ruined cars, and causing it to faint. Raike paused, before picking up the Machamp and supporting it with his own body, carrying it back to the safe house and laying it on a table to rest, before walking back out and towards Miharu-

"Heh, you should watch you back a bit more Miharu. But who's this?"

Sky Destan
-------------
-Sky watched as the togekiss basically owned the Onyx, sending it flying. He then turned to the togekiss muttering under his breath."Damn...." He also turned to in Soren's direction, watching as he landed a final fire brave bird into the Absol, K.O'ing it. "Hey Soren, bring it back to the safe house, let it rest. Maybe it will have calmed down."
-He looked around, the rest of the guys were pretty much wrapping up. Soren walked up from behind, waving. Sky grinned and fist pounded him. "That was some pretty sick nasty fighting out there buddy. Nice job!"
-Soren smiled, grunting contently hugging him. Sky grinned but still looked for any other threats that might be around-

Odessa Stocks:

The battle appeared to be winding down, now their was just the lone Rapidash that was unengaged, it charged for her but she easily avoided it, leaving it to smash into the wall behind her. "I think maybe help is unnecessary" said Odessa, staring at the Rapidash as it tried to wrench its horn from the mangled metal framework.

Silva:

Raven and her trainer had finished off the Machamp, and Soren and her trainer had finished the Absol, all that was left was the Rapidash, which began to run at Odessa with its horn pointed at her. Odessa was not completely oblivious, she jumped to the side casually and the Rapidash smashed into the wall behind her boring a huge hole into the steel, Silva threw herself at the Rapidash with Volt tackle before it could dislodge itself from the wall, the metal magnified the attack and the Rapidash was electrocuted, it fell to the ground as the fires along its mane and back flared out.

Psychic:

"Yes, but while Team Rocket did it for power the ones who cloned MewZ cloned her for science, hence why she more closely resembles the real Mew then Mewtwo does" she said in response to Miharu's observation, "and yes, I sent Odessa back in time." she said, overhearing Miharu's thoughts about her. The battle had apparently ended, all the pokemon that had attacked were either fainted or unable to fight, she shuddered as she felt the mind of the Rapidash die from the overpowered electric attack, but did not say anything.

Kellyn~~~~

He watched in awe as he stepped out of the tunnel with his sister. All the pokemon that attacked were now defeated, even the tougher ones. He sighed, And they couldn't wait for me, he thought. He jumped over the barricades with his sister right behind him. He noticed a purple haired girl along with a girl with a salamence and someone who looked shockingly like Miharu. He walked up to them as they were talking with Miharu and looked at them. I guess they must've helped them, he thought. He turned to Miharu, "You couldn't save any for me," he said, jokingly.

Yui Uchiha Clone 1

Yui winced when she felt the Rapidash die, and could tell that Psychic knew of it as well. She glanced around at all of the pokemon that had been defeated and saw Raike ask Miharu who she was.

"My name is Yui," stated Yui, amused. "I am standing right here; you don't have to ask Miharu you know."

Miharu rolled her eyes. "They do not know Yui, so they do not trust Yui."

Yui glanced at Miharu. "You don't know me as well, but you also seem to trust me."

Miharu blinked, before shrugging. "Something tells me that I can trust Yui." She then turned to Kellyn and stated: "Kellyn knows Nightmare has a mind of his own." After all, he was still taunting at the pokemon who fainted, but grew quiet when he reached the Rapidash. Miharu then turned to Psychic.

Miharu Mizushima

Miharu nodded slightly. "Well, that is good that they were not trying to use...what is her name?"

"MewZ," Yui supplied helpfully.

Miharu nodded in thanks. "It is good that they were not trying to use MewZ as a weapon, although they might have used her in experimentations. Also, Purple Haired-san read my mind as well..." Miharu could feel great power eminenting from her; reminding her strongly of psychic pokemon (such as her Bishamon) except stronger. Way stronger. She narrowed her eyes, before smiling slightly. "What is Purple Haired-san's name?"

Psychic:

"I am named the powers that I have" Psychic said cryptically, "so you may call me Psychic" she said to Miharu.

Odessa Stocks/Silva:

Odessa looked at the Rapidash, "Intentional or accidental" she asked Silva, who immediately knew what she meant, "accidental, but I don't feel sorry about it" she stated, Odessa sighed and picked Silva up and placed her on her head. "You may not feel sorry, but I know you feel guilt" she said quietly, Silva stayed quiet at that comment.

Josh Stocks:

The battle was over, they had easily won, an apparently two new people had appeared, a blonde woman and a purple-haired women, "Odessa's purple haired girl" he thought blankly. He returned Nirvana to her ball and listened as they gave their names, the blonde being Yui and the purple-haired girl being Psychic, he looked at MewZ, he wasn't surprised in the least. He had known about the Mew cloning and was going to blackmail the company to reveal it to the public if they didn't support his project. In the end the plague had struck before negotiations had made it far enough to require such an extreme measure. He shrugged and remained quiet, thinking about the implications of two more persons to the already oversized group.

"At nightfall Littea and I can heal anyone who was injured." Assira offered her services to fight off the feeling of uselessness as she missed the fun. The fainted and dead pokemon lay like ruined meat. Come nightfall perhaps she could negate the hatred the attackers had brought, and help eradicate the shift in nature. Then she would leave. Set off on a mission to turn on the electricity. It would allow her to surmise exactly what was being said on the outside world and perhaps pull in a few favors. It was what she should have acomplished in the first place.

Penny glanced down for just a second to see how Yui was doing with with that Drifblim. Penelope noticed a thick bolt of lightning strike the Ghost/Flying type, and was soon dropped gently by the Gardevoir's psychic powers. The two had dealt with the threat remarkably quickly, while the battle between Rook and the Flygon was only just heating up. Still, it was fun either if the fight wasn't quite as fast paced. Wait, fun? No, Penny couldn't think like a trainer anymore. Then it was a hobby, a way to pass the time and build team-work skills. Now Penny was battling for survival. They needed to win if they wanted to see the next sun-rise. Even that seemed unlikely now. As the Ember attack on the Flygon subsided, the Dragon/Ground type took its chance to fight back. Performing a front somersault, its tail smashed into Rook's head from above, and the Ditto struggled to stay airborne after a strike like that. It must have hurt an awful lot. And then the worst happened. With its new-found chance at fighting back, the Flygon opened its mouth, flapped its wings moving a few feet back, and an ominous golden sphere appeared in front of itself. Penny raised an eyebrow for a moment, trying to decipher the move. Power gem? Dragon Pulse? Hyper be-

"Uh oh..." was all Penny managed to blurt out as the rippling beam of energy was launched from the Flygon's body with enough force to tear down a building.

Well, either tear down a building or smash directly into a Ditto pretending to be a Salamence and cause far more harm than good. While Rook managed to grunt the majority of the blow, even Penny could feel it burning away at her skin. She knew that Hyperbeam was kinetic energy rather than heat energy, almost as if one was being hit by a car, but that didn't stop how much it was starting to sting. Rook managed to hold his ground – or should I say air? - for a few seconds, and Penelope really though he was going to withstand the attack, but nothing is that simple. Within precious moments, the attack had thrown back Rook and Penny. Far, too far. No longer were they in the air-space of Yui and her Gardevoir, they could both tell that. But still, it was hard to make out anything at the moment. Penelope was struggling to keep her eyes open, and even then her vision was blurred with the orange glow of the attack. Still, they could feel that they were being thrown around, twisting and turning like on some kind of disgusting fair-ground ride. It was surprising Penny didn't vomit.

Soon the light faded, and although Penny could now open her eyes, she instantly regretted it. They were moving at an outstanding speed, much further than Rook could ever fly. Of course, the fact that they were heading down was not a good thing. 'This is the last time I ever plan on flying!!'

ooo

Cal only caught the slight glimpse of the Salamence hit by the sheer force of the Hyperbeam and blown completely out of sight. He almost felt sorry for the Dragon-type, even if it could potentially tear him to pieces if left to its own devices. Still, there was a much more drastic problem at hand. Within a few seconds of standing outside, a Houndoom had already picked up his scent, clearly looking for a feast. Unfortunately, Cal was just the right size for the Houndoom's appetite. Now that he was outside he was open for attack. Of course, there was indeed one creature who was not quite as easy to take down. The Fire/Dark type growled furiously, and then sprung forward to strike the young Callum Abbot.

Of course, a heavy smash from back inside the shop made things a little easier to think about. "Rhydon!" screeched Keldia, as she charged forward, tearing the door off of its hinges and smashing her right fist into the side of the Houndoom.

It screeched in pain, writhing in agony on the floor. Keldia took a defensive stance between Callum and the Houndoom. She wasn't going to let anything harm the boy. She owed her trainer that much. Grinding her left fist into her right palm, Keldia took a few more steps forward to the somewhat crippled Dark-type, and her fist began to flare up in a vivid light. Cal himself didn't know what this move was even if he had seen Keldia use it a couple of times. A more experienced trainer would recognise it as the very effective Hammer arm, and the Houndoom would recognise it as the last thing it would ever see. Smashing her huge stone arm into the side of the Houndoom, it made a horrifying and sicken crack against its rib-cage. Cal covered his eyes as the Rhydon did so. It was understandable, that image was disgusting in anyone's eyes. Keldia turned her head instinctively, picking out another target. Following her trail of sight, Callum noticed the figure too. Another person, a girl this time, with a Pokemon of her own – which happened to be a Gardevoir. Cal was about to speak to this other person. She might know something about her family. He had already forgotten about his previous protocol to stay cautious, but Keldia had already begun to do things her own way. Keldia emitted a deep and threatening bellow as her fist began to glow in the same colour as it did not a minute earlier, and she charged, aiming for the Gardevoir.

"Keldia, wait!"

Raike Destan
--------------
"Miharu as usual is right, I don't trust you. But don't take it personally, I don't trust too many people, save our little group."
-When he said group, he was refering to the group of Shifters they had formed 2 years ago. Whoever this Yui person was, she looked alot like Miharu, but didn't talk the same way. He kept in mind to keep in mind that she was suspicious. He then turned to see the fainted and dead(1) pokemon. He hated this, he was tired of this city. He was tired of the stupid zombies, tired of the lack of humans, and now this. He liked pokemon battles, but this was more of a brawl. Those pokemon had trainers too, they just weren't as lucky as himself and the others. Raike guessed, they were either eaten alive, or they deserted their pokemon. He wondered what else might have been the cause of the rage he had felt within the pokemon he had just fought. He felt the same ancient power pulse again. It gave him a migrane. He held his head with one hand, his mood sinking even deeper. "What the hell is going on with me..." Past the headache, he felt something else, it was three different energy signatures, and they seemed to be emenating from Miharu, Yui, and the other purple haired chick. He didn't feel like investigating though, not even asking names, so he said nothing else.-

Miharu Mizushima

Miharu nodded, her suspicions confirmed. "Nice to meet Psychic-san." From the connections she had to her psychic pokemon, she could feel that they were shocked at the presence of Psychic. She was told by Bishamon who this girl; no, entity was. The type; the power in itself, Psychic. Yui smiled, as if she could read her thoughts. No, if Yui is a friend of Psychic, then there must be something more to her. Even with this train of thought, she couldn't help but trust Yui. There was something inside of her that trusted her immensely; and she could even feel that power calmly down next to Yui.

Nightmare appeared next to her and blinked at the sight of MewZ.

"Didn't I already beat you once...?" questioned Nightmare. "Nah, you don't look the same."

Miharu rolled her eyes. "The one Nightmare defeated was Mew. This is MewZ, another clone of Mew."

Nightmare grinned. "I did defeat Mew, didn't I?"

Miharu sighed. This was why she didn't like mentioning it in Nightmare's presence.

Yui Uchiha

Yui glanced at the incoming pokemon and both Katsu and her jumped over it. "Katsu, use Psychic to get Penelope and Rook over here."

Katsu nodded, using her psychic powers to slow down Penelope's and Rook's descent before moving them over next to them.

Yui Uchiha Clone 1

Yui smiled. "It's quite alright. Now, are you alright?"

Yui could feel power coming from Raike, huge power. In fact the power seemed familiar...Yui realized where she recognized it. She blinked slightly.

Psychic:

Psychic looked at Nightmare, "The difference between MewZ and Mew is if you attack MewZ, i'll rip your ethereal self into a billion pieces" she said darkly.

Raike Destan
--------------
-Raike made a "tch" sound in his throat. Due to his migrain and recent events, his mood had flown south for the winter. He walked away, towards the shelter. He began to notice that as he got farther from the 3, he could feel the power within him lessening, along with his migrain. He knew where this was going.-

Keldia growled furiously as the other person... jumped over her? Well, both the Pokemon and the trainer had quite easily, in a way not quite possible for an ordinary human to do. Had her Gardevoir provided assistance with the leap? Maybe, but it seemed too fluent. Too rehearsed. More like an act in a play than an attempt to survive. Keldia instantly took a dis-liking to the two, but after hearing Cal's yell, she reluctantly gave up trying to protect him, and moved over to his side, short arms folded and looking reminiscent of a bodyguard. But then again, that was what she had become to the small boy. It wasn't exactly boring though. Keldia enjoyed breaking things, and did it as if it were second nature. While the idea of killing humans – even if they were zombies – was a little awkward at first, she knew that they had become vicious and would refuse to listen to reason. Much like every other Rhydon out in the wild in all honesty. The savagery was familiar though, much more like fighting in the wilderness than the somewhat tame Pokemon battles the humans had. At least there was less death in the later though. Still, Kel kept a close eye on the other two, ready to strike if they made any sudden movements – and the other eye on Callum. He was the only reason she hadn't left. Cal on the other hand was finding this all very intriguing. The fact that the two of them managed to jump over such a huge creature as Keldia was rather spectacular, and not quite natural in his opinion. Still, he would prefer not to pry, and was actually rather glad that he had met someone who didn't plan to eat him as soon as they saw him. Ordinary people were significantly nicer than zombies ever could be. They did eat people after all.

"Katsu, use Psychic to get Penelope and Rook over here."

Cal wasn't quite focusing the hear the entirety of what the other person had said, but he had pinpointed two exact words from that sentence. Penelope and Rook. Two people – or in the later case Pokemon – that he'd never thought he'd see again. No, the chance that they could still be here were tiny. Penny wasn't a survivalist, and Rook couldn't remain serious for more than five minutes to actually do something. Still, who else in this entire city would be called Penelope or Rook? None, and if not very few. However, then a horrible feeling clenched and tore at his stomach. What if Rook had been the Salamence in the skies but a few moments ago? Rook could probably transform into one of those things. He was a Ditto after all. He tried to block the idea from his mind, and took a few steps towards the other and her Pokemon, who had since been referred to as Katsu.

Cal was shivering slightly as he moved. Nerves probably. "D-d... did you say Penelope and R-Rook?"

ooo

This time, Penny wasn't particularly terrified of falling who-knows-how-far. If anything, the only thing she felt at the moment was annoyance, even if it wasn't quite the right time for that. What were the chances that she and Rook would be shot down twice? Well, considering that they flew into some kind of electric fielding and then picked a fight with a very angry Flygon, her guess that it was somewhere around ninety nine percent. Just great. However, about half-way down the fall, something new happened. While Rook was trying to flap his wings in order to slow the descent, the two were enveloped in a mysterious purple light. It might have been only been Rook, but Penny was still holding onto him, so it was hard to be sure, especially since the light made it hard to see much. Within seconds, the gut-wrenching fall had slowed drastically. They were no longer falling, just staying still, as if someone had turn off the-

"Hey, who turned the gravity off?" yelled Penny. Yes, that. "You do anything?"

Rook looked at Penny and raised an eyebrow, "Salamence..." meaning a clear no. How could he? Salamence were not Psychic-types, even if they could learn Zen-headbutt.

Within seconds though, they were moving again. Not down, but to the side, following a similar path. It was the one in which Rook, Penny and Yui had flown over to get here. Soon enough, there they were, Yui and her Gardevoir. Her Pokemon looked deep in thought, so Penny could only assume that it was her creating such a strong psychic energy. Enough to bring Penelope and Rook all the way back to here. Soon they were close to the ground, and they felt the energy leave them. Rook landed somewhat softly, at least to him. For Penny riding on his back the fall was tremendous, knocking her off balance, off of the Dragon Pokemon and onto the floor. She was unharmed, minus a light bruise or two, so she'd be OK. Picking herself up and dusting herself off, Penny glanced over to Yui.

Penny sighed heavily. "Ever heard of something called a soft-landing? I mean seriously, that really hu-" she cut off mid sentence, as she glanced at the boy which stood nearby. "C-Cal!?"

Of course, in the commotion, Penelope and Rook had forgotten about one tiny detail. "Flygon!"

Nightmare blinked. "What makes you think that Mew attacked me? Mew was attacking Miharu for some reason..."

Miharu sighed as she probably had to explain. "An assassin from one of the groups I was defeating had a jewel to control Mew; like the Blue orb and the Red orb for Kyogre and Groundon. Mew had almost killed me; the only pokemon I had on me was Nightmare and he was drinking alcohol. However, he felt that I was being attacked and saved me. We managed to defeat the assassin and Mew; which is what he meant by "beating up Mew"."

Yui Uchiha

Yui blinked at the two people whose auras felt similar. "I'm guessing you two are family," said Yui dryly. "Hello, my name is Yui, and indeed, I said Penelope and Rook. Also, I told Katsu to give you guys a soft landing...maybe she didn't understand."

Katsu rolled her eyes.

Odessa Stocks:

Odessa smelled something, a mix between rotten and sweet, she thought knew what it was, but didn't react in the slightest. "I've got to go" she said, hoping no one would try and follow her as she walked away from the group and towards where she thought the smell was coming from.

Psychic:

Odessa was going to leave, "Good-bye then" she said, knowing what Odessa was thinking but not really concerned about it, Odessa was highly aware of the danger of what she was doing, and well-equipped to deal with it.

OOC: Would Miharu or Yui like to follow Odessa towards the unknown, possibly dangerous thing? =P

Kellyn watched the people talking, especially Nightmare, who seemed to make him laugh no matter what. He saw Odessa leave and his sister walk up beside him.

Odile flew on Knights back for a while before seeing three people with a Salamance. He hesitated to go down at first. He saw the Flygon heading straight towards them so he took this as a way to gain new friends. "Knight use Draco meteor!" Odile shouted as the Meteors came down and slammed the Flygon into the ground. He made sure not to knock it out entirely so that they could finish it off in anyway they would like. He landed next to them and said "Hi my name is Odile. Whats your names?" He said not bothering to give them a warning as he landed with a thud.

Miharu Mizushima

Miharu glanced at Odessa and walked after her. "I will go with Odessa." Miharu walked after Odessa, causing Yui to sigh and run up to her. Yui smiled at Miharu. "I'll go as well; I want to get to know Miharu-chan a little bit better." Miharu blinked. "Please do not call me Miharu-chan." Yui shrugged. "Sorry, Mi-Ha-Ru-Chan." Togekiss, Yashe, flied after Yui, and Nightmare went into the floor. Yui glanced at Psychic and shrugged slightly.

Yui Uchiha

Yui glanced at the one named Odile who landed, amidst the family drama no less. "Thank you for taking care of the Flygon, but I assure you we would have been able to handle it. As for who we are, my name is Yui."

Penny couldn't believe it. Even if Penelope had masked it in a show of false cheerfulness, she had never actually thought that she would see any of her family again. So many people must have gone through that in this situation, and Penny just thought she's be one of the survivors who would be left with nothing. Of course she had other family back home, but your parents and siblings were always going to be the most important to you, and Penny could only release a heavy sigh of relief as she saw one few people she really wanted to know about right now. Her brother. Young Callum Abbott. Penelope gave a cheerful grin to Yui, and then back to Callum.

"I'm guessing you two are family?" asked Yui.

Damn, how did she do that? Not only Cal had noticed something was strange about Yui – Penny had spotted something too. Whatever it was, neither of them knew, but it was clear that it wasn't as much of a guess as Yui was letting on. Still, that didn't really matter, as Cal built up the courage he needed and ran to his older sister, only to wrap his arms around her in a giant hug. It was pretty much all he needed to turn from the terrified eight year old he had been before into what he had always been before hand. Even if he was usually stubborn and what could only be described as Penny's arch-nemesis, she really didn't care. She was one step closer to re-uniting the family. Penny quickly returned the hug, and then turned her head up to Yui and her Gardevoir, smiling. This smile turned into a grin as she spotted the lumbering behemoth behind the group. Keldia – the only Pokemon in Penelope's arsenal which took battling seriously. The Rhyhorn returned the expression with a nod. She never was one to show that much emotion. Still, Rook was obviously overjoyed about the family reunion, and coughed up a few embers as some make-shift fireworks. Penny chuckled slightly, and Cal copied. Seeing the two of them stand next to eachother, it would be impossible to tell that Cal and Penny were brother and sister. One with hazel-coloured hair and dark brown eyes – the other green-eyed and blonde haired. Although if you spent just a few minutes with them they did display some rather similar mannerisms.

Yui was the next to speak once more. "Also, I told Katsu to give you guys a soft landing... maybe she didn't understand."

Penny and Cal chuckled slightly. "We can talk customer-services later," they both said simultaneously, but Penny added one final piece. "Haven't we still got that Flygon to deal with?"

Rook nodded twice, and instantly burst into the sky as he had done previously. His skull began to flash in a variety of shades of purple, signalising that he once again planned to do Zen-headbutt. Penny didn't blame him actually. It was deadly powerful the first time around, and had left the Flygon open to a rivet of attacks. However, the attack never quite hit, as there was a bright flash, and a meteorite – yes, a giant hunk of rock, glowing an ominous blue – appeared from no-where and smashed into the Flygon's skull, causing it to topple to the floor, crippled and probably dying. Death wasn't unusual here anymore, and Penny didn't seem quite as phased by it as she had previously. Callum still tried to shield his eyes though, even if the sight wasn't too gruesome, just a little depressing. Rook fell back down the floor, unsure over what just happened, but as if on cue a fourth person entered the midst, riding upon a Dragonite. Rook glared at it slightly, clearing letting a little of the Salamence/Dragonite rivalry through, even if he was technically a Ditto.

"Hi, my name is Odile. What's your names?" he asked.

Penny raised an eyebrow for just a second. "Looks like there are four of us now... I'm Penny."

"Cal..."

Yui Uchiha

Yui smiled back at the smile and grin that Penelope gave her. She knew, more than anything, that having your family together was the greatest thing in the world. Yui glanced up at the sky.

Fujiko-nee-chan...I wonder how you are doing back home...I also wonder how Chibi-chan and Nom are doing...

Odessa Stocks:

Miharu and Yui had decided to follow her,she shrugged, this probably wouldn't be what she thought it was, "but what if it is?" said a little voice inside her head. She tried not to let the thought show on her face, the smell had gotten stronger, now something like rotted fruit and fetid meat. Silva spoke, "It in that building" she said, pointing to a skyscraper. She walked inside, and saw a staircase near the door, she started up. The smell got much worse, around the sixth floor a grey sludge started to appear, "How the hell?" she said, she stopped and spoke to Miharu and Yui, "This is a result of why i'm here" she said, gesturing to the grey sludge on the steps, "do not touch it, if you do" she chose this moment to touch a small bit of sludge on the railing, pain shot up her arm as if it was on fire, she pulled it away and showed it to them, a clear spot of blackened skin quickly growing larger, it stopped after a moment, but her entire right hand looked like it had been burned in a fire, and felt much like it to. "Thats what happens to me, what happens to you is a slow, painful death over the course of months if your lucky, years if your not" she said, "To be honest I have absolutely no goddamn clue how this got here, its..." she paused, "Well, you'll see soon enough I guess, but if you do end up touching any of this 'sludge'" she said the word with contempt, "then, well just don't touch it" she said warningly. This was going to end badly she thought, wrapping her blackened hand in a cloth she had taken from her bag. She continued up the flights of stairs, the smell growing worse with each step.
