4th Gen Platinum Started Pokémon

Meant "Platinum Starter Pokémon" in the title.

Which starter Pokémon is best for Platinum? Turtwig, Chimchar, Piplup? I usually concentrate and raise my starter Pokémon only. I'm not thinking about Piplup, I don't like cute looking Pokémon :P

Chimchar also looks stupid, but it's last form Infernape looks awesome, plus it's fire+fighting. Turtwig's last form Torterra is ok too, but I read somewhere Turtwig is not good for those who raise that Pokémon only.

Which one should I choose?

I guess you should go with Chimchar cos Infernape is so awesome, I remember choosing it as my starter and yeah, it is strong.

Yeah I'd have to agree with you, even though I have never used Pipulp-Empoleon

Sounds more like 'which one should I use' rather than which one did people use/like, so this would have been more suited for say the help thread sticky.

And the answer? They're all going to do you just fine so don't bother with the 'this one sucks' statements about as you can find such claims for all the starters. Just a matter of opinion, and for the in-game stuff any one of them will do you fine, so I suggest going for the one that appeals to you best.
