    Are there any finished/closed to finished/more than playable fangames out yet?
     
    There have been a few demos out. Check out the Game Development's Archive thread. A few more recent games with demos are Raptor, Hall of Fame, Odyssey and Scarlet. OG's gearing up for a 2nd demo of Raptor in a few weeks; it might be worth waiting for that.

    EDIT: I've probably missed a few - doesn't Purple Sky have one out? Try checking the first posts of all the threads in the Showcase.
