Hey all, I'm trying to make it so that in the overworld when I pick up an item, the pokeball disappears before the text like in the original games.

I've looked around in Pokemon field in scripts and tried rearranging the scripts that were there for "gaining items", but it just threw errors.

Which script in particular modifies exactly when the pokeball disappears?

I think setting the self-switch to on is what makes the graphic disappear. Maybe you could make the event 3 pages instead, and have it so the first page (with graphic) just turns the first self-switch on, the second page (without graphic) turns the second self-switch on, and the third (also without graphic) displays the message?

Hey, sorry for the late response. I just tried it and managed to figure it out. On the first page (with the pokeball graphic there) you first turn the self switch on, then wait 2 frames (or w/e you want), then lastly run the script to pick up the item. Second page has the selfswitch on and the empty graphic. Thanks for the help!
