    Hello all.
In the process of starting Diamond, I am posting a team for you to
evaluate. Most of you are probably going to cringe from a mile seeing them, but my only excuse is that previous Pokemon games have been a bit too easy, and therefore I am following a theme now. It is of Grass, and other Pokemon who are able to regenerate (with the exception of Weezing, whom I plain love).
To admit they weren't designed with Link/Online battles in mind.

I kindly ask of you to correct them, following the beforementioned mindset. Also I haven't thought of EV points at all.

    They are:

    Victreebel @ Black Sludge
    Ability: Chlorophyll
    Modest Nature (+Sp.Atk, -Atk)

Giga Drain / Ingrain / Synthesis
    Hidden Power: Fire
    Sleep Powder
    Sludge Bomb

Vileplume @ Miracle Seed / Meadow Plate
    Ability: Chlorophyll
    Calm Nature (+Sp.Def, -Atk)

    Giga Drain
    Ingrain / Synthesis
    Solarbeam
    Sunny Day

Milotic @ ? (Don't know how many Leftovers you can get)
    Ability: Marvel Scale
    Modest Nature (+Sp.Atk, -Atk)

    Aqua Ring
    Hydro Pump
    Iron Tail / Ice Beam
    Recover / Attract

    Blissey @ Leftovers
Abilities: Natural Cure and Serene Grace
    Bold Nature (+Def, -Atk)

    Dream Eater
    Seismic Toss
    Sing
    Softboiled

    Jumpluff @ Big Root
    Abilities: Chlorophyll and Leaf Guard
    ? Nature

    Bounce
    Giga Drain
    Leech Seed
    Toxic

    Weezing @ ?
    Ability: Levitate
    ? Nature

    Destiny Bond
    Explosion
    Sludge Bomb
    Thunderbolt / Psybeam / Smokescreen

Thank you for your time. They do need more tinkering.
Also, I have a few questions:
    - Does King's Rock make moves that don't usually make flinch do so?
    - Do the parents' stats or nature affect the baby?
    - Does a Pokemon's nature help with EV training?

    Cheers!

    Answers in order:
    Yes.
If you give the female/ditto a everstone while breeding you get a 50% chance of passing the nature. 3 IVs are also taken from a random parent.
    No.
Lastly, If I didnt fix a pokemon that means I dont know them very well.

    Victreebel @ Black Sludge
    Ability: Chlorophyll
    Modest Nature (+Sp.Atk, -Atk)

    Giga Drain/Energy Ball/Synthesis/Solarbeam
    Hidden Power: Fire
    Sleep Powder
    Sludge Bomb/Sunny Day

Sludge Bomb has terrible type coverage, but if you must

    Vileplume @ Leftovers/Black Sludge
    Ability: Chlorophyll
    Calm Nature (+Sp.Def, -Atk)

    Energy Ball/Solar Beam
    Synthesis
    HP Fire
    Sunny Day

Milotic @ Leftovers/Flame Orb (To activate Marvel Scale)
    Ability: Marvel Scale
    Bold Nature (+Def -Atk)

    Hypnosis/Toxic/Rain Dance
    Surf
    Ice Beam
    Recover

I wouldnt normally suggest Rain Dance but in your case i will because if you need Milotic and Surf when Sunny Day is in Effect from your Vileplume/Victreebel wont this make Milotic a bit useless ??
So you may want something to cancel out Sunny Day

    Blissey @ Leftovers
    Abilities: Natural Cure
    Bold Nature (+Def, -Atk)

    Thunderwave
    Seismic Toss
    Ice Beam
    Softboiled

    Jumpluff @ Big Root
    Abilities: Chlorophyll
    Timid Nature

    Synthisis
    Substitute
    Leech Seed/Giga Drain
    Sleep Powder

Bring this in when Sunny Day is in effect and it will be a beast.IMO Chlorophyll ability is better and lets you outspeed most things

    Weezing @ ?
    Ability: Levitate
    Bold Nature

    Pain Split
    Explosion
    Will-o-Wisp
    Sludge Bomb/Thunderbolt/Flamethrower

Thank you for your time. They do need more tinkering.
Also, I have a few questions:

    Changes are In Bold

    your question answers

    1.Yes

2.Yes they affect the baby like you can pass on the nature to the baby if the female with the nature you want haolds an everstone whilst in the daycare. IVS can be passed on to the baby but its up to luck which ones are (3 IVS from random).

3.Yes it helps you maximize the pokemons potential/Usefulness.

So Level 0. The movesets are thought of as results of breeding and some TM fun.

But so far I'm only pleased with Victreebel.
    I guess because I blatantly copy/pasted 80% of it.

    :nervous:

    As for your general questions:

    - Yes
    - The baby gets 3 IV's from both parents; it can be 2 from the father and 1 from the mother, or vice versa. The rest are random. Also, nature is completely random for the baby, unless the mother holds Everstone, which gives the baby 50% of getting the same nature as the mother.
    - A pokemon nature is definitely something you shouldn't overlook, but it is not related to EV's. Nature gives the pokemon +10% in 1 stat and -10% in another stat.

i'll edit this post to include team suggestions shortly.

    Changes underlined:

    Victreebel @ Black Sludge
    Ability: Chlorophyll
    Modest Nature (+Sp.Atk, -Atk)

    Synthesis / Reflect
    Hidden Power: Fire
    Sleep Powder
    Sludge Bomb

    Vileplume @ Leftovers
    Ability: Chlorophyll
    Calm Nature (+Sp.Def, -Atk)

    Stun Spore
    Synthesis
    Solarbeam
    Sunny Day

    Milotic @ Leftovers
    Ability: Marvel Scale
    Modest Nature (+Sp.Atk, -Atk)

    Dragon Pulse / Mirror Coat
    Hydro Pump / Surf
    Ice Beam
    Recover

    Blissey @ Leftovers
    Abilities: Natural Cure
    Calm Nature (+Sp.Def, -Atk)

    Thunderbolt / Thunder Wave
    Seismic Toss
    Heal Bell / Aromatherapy
    Softboiled

    Jumpluff @ Big Root
    Abilities: Chlorophyll and Leaf Guard
    Jolly Nature (+Spd, -Sp.Atk)

    Sleep Powder
    Substitute
    Leech Seed
    U-Turn / Encore

    Weezing @ ?
    Ability: Levitate
    Bold Nature (+Def, -Atk)

    Pain Split
    Explosion / Hidden Power: Ground
    Will-o-wisp
    Fire Blast

    Hope this helps. x_X

I wouldn't have so many Grass types on that team. Also, replace Blissey and Weezing. I'd recommend Pokemon like these:
Staraptor(Can learn Close Combat, and Pluck can take Berries. Plus, you'll have a flying Pokemon)
    Luxray(Adamant Nature, with Rivalry ability)
Infernape/Rapidash (great speeds and attacks/special attacks)
Dialga/Palkia (I really don't understand the deal with ubers. These two are great fighters, and have awesome Defense and Special Defense.)
Lucario(Durable fighter, knows a lot of cool moves)

That's just my opinion on how the team should be, possibly.

A Blissey walls you quite badly mate, you need a physical sweeper

Updated my post, hope it helps. A grass team is very fragile, and I suggest trying other pokemon besides Victreebel, Vileplume and Jumpluff - there are better grass pokes out there.

    He's right

try this seeing as you like grass types

    Breloom@Toxic Orb
    Ability: Poison Heal
    Jolly/Adamant Nature
    EVS:252 Speed 252 Attack 6 HP
    -Spore
    -Substitute
    -Focus Punch
    -Stone Edge/Seed Bomb

    Why ??????

1 Blissey is the best Special wall in the game period
2 Weezing is probably the one of the best physical walls besides Skarmory
3 UBERS are illeagal to use in completive battling
4 The team you posted jb0000612 gets owned by Metagross with the moveset of Thunder Punch Earthquake Meteor Mash and Agility

Oh, thanks everyone for the swift replies.
And this is going to sound so silly, but I'm not comfortable using Pokemon that I don't ...like :embarrass

But yeah, I guess I should cut Vileplume and maybe Weezing or Blissey. Other sexy ones are Azumarrill, Shaymin, Steelix, Rhydon, Chimecho and Miltank. Hmmm...

Also, is Calm Mind for Blissey a waste?

    Then, EVs:
Victreebel: Sp. Atk and Sp. Def ?
Milotic: Def and Sp. Atk ?
Jumpluff: Sp. Atk and Spd ?

Read my previous posts as to why you don't want to get rid of Blissey and Weezing (Unless Weezing for a physical wall of equal or better walling ability Foretress Skarmory ETC.)

Blissey Is great with Calm Mind

    Try this

    Bliisey@Leftovers
    Natural Cure
    Modest Nature
EVS: 252 HP 252 Defense 6 Special Attack
    - Ice Beam
    - Thunderbolt
    - Calm Mind
    - Softboiled

Blissey makes the battles too long with Softboiled and Attract. I leanred this while battling it numerous times in Pokemon Emerald's Battle Factory. Weezing can be taken down with Psychic and Ghost Moves. Also, Dialga is immune to Weezing's Poison attacks. Skarmory would have nightmares against a Luxray. I don't even know how to use Wi-Fi yet, as I don't have my USB. And lastly, I could smoke Metagross easily with Earth Power, Flamethrower, Thunder Fang, or Rain Dance+Surf.

Blissey is supposed to make battles long while slowly killing the oppenent with seismic toss. WEEZING IS A PHYSCIAL WALL NOT SPECIAL. Ghost isnt even super effective against poison. Skarmory can wall luxray easily. No you cannot 'smoke' a metagross with those moves. You would probably make a dumb move and the opponents metagross would be able to use agility.
You aksed for help and you got good help in my opinion. DOnt be ungrateful.

I didn't ask for help. I was just suggesting some ideas to this guy in case he had trouble.

Thanks for so many suggestions in just a few hours.
This is how I have modified the team, I'm only not too sure about the EV points:

    Jumpluff @ Bright Powder
    Jolly Nature (+Spd, -Atk)
    - Sleep Powder
    - Leech Seed
    - Substitute
    - U-Turn

Annoying! I like this little guy a lot! Thanks to Syaoran for the suggested moveset. Is it a good idea to have him in the first slot?

    EV: Spd and HP

    Steelix @ Shell Bell
    Brave Nature (+Atk, -Spd)
    - Crunch
    - Roar
    - Earthquake
    - Stealth Rock

Roar was the last addition, I think it should work. The other held item I thought of is Iron Ball(?), that makes Ground moves hit Flying and those with Levitate. Which is better?

    EV: Atk and Sp.Atk

    Milotic @ Flame Orb
    Modest Nature (+Sp.Atk, -Atk)
    - Toxic
    - Ice Beam
    - Surf
    - Recover

    EV: Sp.Atk and Def

    Blissey @ Leftovers
    Modest Nature (+Sp.Atk, -Atk)
    - Aromatherapy / Fire Blast / Psychic
    - Calm Mind
    - Grass Knot
    - Softboiled

Wanted to include Attract but uhh.. Looks good overall. Maybe it lacks one more attack, instead of Aromatherapy?

    EV: Sp. Atk and Def

    Victreebel @ Black Sludge
    Modest Nature (+Sp.Atk, -Atk)
    - Hidden Power: Fire
    - Solarbeam
    - Sunny Day
    - Synthesis

    EV: Sp. Atk and Spd

    Weezing @ Leftovers
    Bold Nature (+Def, -Atk)
    - Explosion
    - Sludge Bomb
    - Thunderbolt
    - Will-o-Wisp

Thanks to Cakekun for the moveset.

    EV: Sp. Atk and Def

Edit: Gave Steelix Stealth Rock (-Toxic), Toxic and Surf to Milotic (-Light Screen, -Mirror Coat)
And Blissey and Milotic can't both have Ice Beam .. Duh.
    Thanks again!
