Suggestion: Please underline or color links in posts

It's sometimes very hard to tell which text is a link here, since it's all plain black. It's not good Web practice to use "click here", and I prefer not to (like I just did). And it has confused people before.

Can the forum devs please add some sort of style to links within posts' text? Underlining or using a dark blue (or both) would be great.

Isn't having links be colored the default? In the OP the two linked parts are a light blue color while the rest of the text is the default gray for the style I'm using.

What forum skin/style are you using btw?

Well, there's this option under: "Edit Options":

Thank you, that's much better!

My theme is the default one, "Let's Fly Together [Legacy]".

I still think hidden links is a bad default choice, but at least there's an option to fix it. Someone who doesn't know how to edit themes, or doesn't realize it's an option, or doesn't want to customize their interface, is also more likely to get confused by hidden links.

Huh, LFT really does make no special indication for hyperlinks. That's.....kinda weird.

I think I'll go put in a request to the admins to have it changed, it's really not good to have hyperlinks not look any different from normal text, especially since LFT is a fairly common default style in our rotation of default styles.

Thank you! (Any reason for using border-bottom instead of text-underline? Just curious.)

and then if we change it to hyperlinks being a different color we'll have people being like "ew linked text being a different color is sooooooooooo ugly"

so let's not start down that path

the practical issue of "I can't fucking tell when stuff contains links or not on LFT" has been fixed
