Hello PokeCommunity, this is my first ever battle log/warstory. I was on the server late last night, and I made a team for UU after Raikou/Froslass was banned. I wasn't really doing anything and Vrai asked anyone if they wanted to have a UU match and I said yes. It was a close, fun and exciting battle. I hope you have fun reading this log and look forward to the comments.

My intro, y/y? My name is Vrai and I suck pretty hard at competitive battling. This is like one of my better battles that I've done which is pretty bad seeing how many mistakes I made. D:

I was really just scouting his team. I figured it was either holding lefties or life orb, and I knew I would survive any of its attacks, so I went for Knock Off just to be sure. I foolishly switched in Rotom because I thought it was a bulkier dual screen version, but it was a Trick Scarfer. Guess I've been away from UU longer than I thought.

Yep so. Whenever I come across a lead Omastar lead they usually just Surf me so I switched in Milotic to take it and potentially kill. Probably should have Hydro Pump'd the second time but idk. ):

Went to Skuntank here because it has running D_A's trapper set so it should survive at least one Hydro Pump, and it does. The miss on Vrai's part didn't really matter since I most likely would have survived. I decided to boom early on just to take it out since it causes me problems.

Skuntank go boom. Apparently he would have survived even if I hit with Hydro Pump but eh. Milotic already took out two so I was pretty alright with him going down now. Even if he had KO'd Skuntank and lived, I don't think he would have made much of a difference at the end.

Not sure why he left Donphan in on Omastar, maybe he figured I would over predict or something or predicted a Venusaur switch, idk. I got the OHKO with Surf, so I'm happy about that. I got to scout some of his team too, so everything is going good except for me being down, score-wise.

I really didn't have much that I wanted to take a hit from Omastar, so I needed the free switch-in from Donphan's death. (Actually I probably didn't but remember I suck. :D) Anyway, Donphan's out but it's alright with me.

Now, what I should have done (and what I usually do) is Focus Punch the expected switch in, which potentially could have done some serious damage to his Swellow, but no. Maybe I was afraid of Ice Beam or something but I switch to Regi anyway. ):

Obvious Earthquake is obvious. I figured he would switch to a levitator or Flying-Type pokemon, but just in case, I EQ'd. I decided to leave Donphan in, its Max HP/Max Sp.Def so it should live any non-crit attack Uxie throws at me, unfortunatley, this EV spread has no power, so I lose alot of damage dealing ability.

Expected EQ is expected. I run a slightly offensive Uxie so it can take out the expected physical walls that come in on it.

Switched to swello to try and force Uxie out but he used Reflect so I do laughable damage amounts to him.

Reflect-o makes everything more wonderful in UU especially with the higher ratio of physical attackers to special. That's... really all I have to say. D:

I'm just scouting his team right now and trying wear down his pokemon a little bit at a time with U-Turn and Surf and such. I took away Uxie's opportunities to switch in a lot by knocking off its leftovers, unfortunately, my team is getting worn down by trying to wear him down.

Some nice guessing random attacking prediction helps me wear down various members of his team a bit. Plus, I get to set up some rocks. Those will be useful later prolly.

Sacrificed donphan here because I got rid of its rocks so I was just going to bring Swellow in to suicide out and maybe take Uxie with me, hopefully it pays off.

Awh, damn, he got rid of those. That was fast. Anyway, Uxie gets a kill so that's nice. :D

Got rid of Omastar because its not going to do anything anyway, so I may as well. I sent in Dragonair since its my last mon left. I got a DD up, thank God it didn't have Ice Punch. Now I should outspeed most of his team.

Yep so. Omastar's gone which is nice and I got him down to his last Poke, which happens to be Dragonair.

...I've never ever battled a Dragonair before so I don't know how well this will work out. D:

You should have switched from Omastar then to Rotom to resist...switching to Donphan wasn't necessary.

Also, get rid of the (lvl 100 Pokemon ?) in future battle logs.

Otherwise, it was an ok battle, with a close ending. ;D Nice work.

jw what youre running for dragonair.

cuz you outsped sceptile w/ your boost unless its scarfed, which doesnt make sense.

adamant lo dragon claw does 80 min and outrage des 120 min after the boost.

just wondering and all

63.70% - 75.09% = Jolly e-speed vs sceptile

Guess he's running adamant, in which case Sceptile outspeeds it with a +spe nature (and it would be silly to not do that, to be honest)

Its a decent log but Dragonair REALLY needs dual screens to sweep, so it shows how vital losing Rotom was. Also wow bulky waters really badly wall your team lol

I think you could KO with Outrage. (You outpace it after DD if you're running Jolly)

Grats on your 1100 post.
And IMO Always go for a +spe nature unless you hit hard / your speed sucks. Especially go for a +Spe nature when you boost your speed.

BTW I'm running the same set in NU play. Just with Jolly.
