PMD: Exploration and Corruption of the New Frontier (IC)(PG-13)

Xell was hit rather vigorously by the hyperactive weasel's various close-range attacks. The crack in Xell's shell was starting to expand. It had started at the pit of Xell's stomach, but was starting to split into several tinier cracks. Xell, being cocoon-shaped, didn't notice it. However, he did feel the sting of where the crack was expanding. She's good... but is she better then me? I think I only have one or two attacks left before I become exhausted. Xell began to think harder about her attacks. I know!

A dark aura began to surround Xell. The crack itself was mending, but the pain of where she had struck still lingered. He began to feel a surge of power. He felt defensively stronger, but he also felt like he could damage better. When the dark aura vanished, a faint red haze surrounded Xell. His polished hide looked duller, dirtier. However, it still glistened slightly, giving him a certain aerodynamic element and white luster. It even looked sharper and sturdier, and the crack was nowhere to be found. Xell's Curse had worked.

Xell turned his attention to Alaska. She was most likely faster then he was now: the Curse had taken away some of his Speed. He hoped that his defenses were stronger now, and that he could end it with his final move before she would retaliate and likely end the match. Xell jetted toward her, giving off an explosive propulsion that sent him flying through the air and directly toward her. Rocks began to leap off the ground, clinging to his body like magnets. He braced himself for the moment of impact, and hoped that he would not miss.

((OOC: Rock Slide was my last move, if I wasn't clear enough... sorry, I don't know what Rock Slide looks like. D: ))

The crack in Xell's shell began to mend itself with a dark aura. His hide looked a lot sturdier, and his defense was likely increased. He rushed toward Alaska with rocks attaching to him like magnets. Alaska just barely leaped out of the way as Xell performed Rock Slide. If the Rock Slide had hit her, she would have likely lost. She used agility and sped around him, looking for the right moment to strike. When she thought it was safe, she sprinted to him and punched him with a freezing cold fist. Xell would likely resist this as he had just used Curse. Alaska really depended on speed.

Xell kept going, although he missed Alaska completely, and crashed onto the ground. The rocks dropped, and Alaska sped around him, looking for the right moment to strike. When she thought it was safe, she sprinted at him and punched him with a freezing cold fist. This was the final blow. Xell, although much bigger then the Sneasel, spun around like a Spinda at the powerful Ice Punch. He fell over, exhausted and energy depleted. Xell, although exhausted, let out a laugh. He had learned a lot about his teammate, and he had learned of her power. The match had made him wonder: if he hadn't given up speed for power, would he have won? Nevertheless, the Pupitar congratulated the victor.

"bravo bravo. now who am I supposed to fight? you've done right battled twice and now I'm waiting around for some one to fight." Zeke rambled

he jumped out of the tree. Zeke stood between his two partners. He glared at them angrily.

"Honestly I want to know who I can fight here." Zeke laughed once then stopped looking serious again.

Leigh was impressed by the results of the battle. Alaska's speed outmatched Xell's bulky exterior. While Xell had the same tactic as Leigh, lacked strategy by relying on speed. A defensive approach would have proved better early on. Felicia and Flare's battle seemed to end as well. Leigh was still curious how one of them managed to use smog but decided not to question logic. Zeke seemed to be back as well.

"good show" He told Team Hunter. And then turned to Alaska. "...Did you learn something from that last battle of ours or were you holding back on me?" He said jokingly. Leigh noticed Zeke was eager for a battle as well. He was the only one who hadn't had any action today. Time was short, but Leigh didn't want to leave Zeke out. "...Give me a moment. I think I've spent too much time away from my teammates" He said to them as he floated off to see the results of the other battle.

Flare was slumping a bit so he assumed the Felicia was the victor. "I couldn't see anything in the smog. How much did I miss?" He asked them.

"Not much, i had to use my sense of smell to find him. It was a fun battle how did yours go? Felicia sent back sitting down looking at her teammates as she yawned. Surprisingly that battle had exhausted her Probably because of how excited I was she thought to herself remembering the same thing happened the last time she had gotten as excited as she had been today.

"The battle went well. Heh, I'd say it was a flawless victory for me. Heheh." He bragged. It was sort of a lie. Alaska did put up a decent fight. Leigh's Ego may have been getting the best of him... not that it was that big to begin with. "So um..." Before Leigh could speak with Felicia, Zeke ran up to Leigh and yelled "AMBUSH!" As if he were attempting to get a cheap shot on Leigh. "And I thought Alaska was jumpy..." He thought to himself. Leigh was unamused by Zeke's behavior. He simply ignored it as Zeke wandered away. "....He's not serious is he?" He asked his teammates. "Is he really their leader?" There may be more then meets the eye but Leigh would have to see for himself.

Felicia yawned rubbing her eyes with her paw "Yeah he's their leader...but he's probably more mature than that" she yawned her six tails blowing in a slight breeze. I'm so tired she thought

Xell spun around and fell over. He seemed exhausted, but laughed good-naturedly. He congratulated Alaska, and she thanked him modestly. "Good battle, keep it up and we'll save everyone from the plague with no trouble!" she exclaimed with a smile. "Bravo, bravo. Now who am I supposed to fight? You've done right battled twice and now I'm waiting around for someone to fight," Zeke rambled from atop a tree. Alaska blinked at him, but didn't say anything. He jumped out of the tree and stood between Alaska and Xell. He glared at both of them angrily. "Honestly I want to know who I can fight here." Zeke laughed once then stopped looking serious again.

Leigh turned to Alaska as she opened her mouth to respond to her angry team leader. "...Did you learn something from that last battle of ours or were you holding back on me?" Leigh said jokingly. Alaska laughed. "Haha, no, you really did beat me up. I learned a lot from you." She was one hundred percent truthful on that. If she focused too much on speed when facing a powerful opponent, they'll bring her down in one hit when given the chance. She would have to remember that she should at least attempt to attack them first, and then maybe raise speed a few stages. Getting carried away would just make her lose foolishly. But that didn't matter to her. Alaska believed she could make an ass out of herself as much as she wanted. "...Give me a moment. I think I've spent too much time away from my teammates," Leigh said to Zeke's team as he floated off to see the results of the other battle. "Not a problem. I got to stretch anyway." Zeke began touching his clawed feet. He twisted nearly 180 degrees as he stretched his back. He then bent backwards in another creepy way. Alaska flinched, wondering how he didn't snap in half. "Don't worry, I don't have a spine. I have an exoskeleton, remember? Bug types rule." Zeke scythe pumped. Alaska replied, "I liked to eat bugs! Caterpie, Weedle…"

"AMBUSH!" Zeke shouted and ran off towards where Leigh went. Alaska's eyes widened. Sure, she herself could be random at times. But Zeke, Zeke took the cake. He came wandering back a few moments later, looking disappointed. "Nobody gets Scyther comedy here. Back home. Back in my real home this is comedy gold." Zeke whined about his lack of applause and laughter. Alaska hoped he wasn't going to be like that on missions. Laughter, and goofing off. Unless they were done in the right times. Alaska always had time for mind games, but only when they were in their place. "I hope you're going to take our missions seriously," Alaska started to say, "because most of them are going to be keeping us in tight situations." She noticed a group of potential Pokémon she could be friends with and quickly looked down. Yes. I got this. Just a little more time. All I need is a little more time. Her eyes slowly wandering back up to look at them. She didn't know why, but she was too obsessed with greeting everyone.

Leigh watched the other team's leader once more. He was eager to battle him after seeing that attitude. "Hmph. I'll put him in his place. Lets go to the place we're supposed to meet bruno after this battle" He said to both flare and Felicia confidently. "I won't be long." Leigh already knew some of the scyther's tricks. His clone he could summon was intriguing. He didn't know if he would be able to snatch such an ability due to the odd nature of such an ability. The clone had a personality and a mind though... If he called for his double's help, it would be two versus one. Leigh made sure to be prepared for that situation, as unpredictable it would be.

Leigh floated on back to the other team and glared at Zeke. "Hope all of those moves you showed off actually do something". He made sure the whole team could hear the taunt he threw at Zeke.

Felicia nodded sleepily "I'm gonna take a nap will you wake me when your battle is over...I hate hoe tired five year olds get" she sent to Leigh her voice tired sounding even telepathically. Felicia walked over to a tree near where Leigh and Zeke were and laid down resting her chin on her front paws as she yawned.

OOC: @Archipelago: Sorry, left out the 'e'. >.< @SamuraiMaster: Oh....I misread it, sorry! >.<

Teddius and Maria finally arrived at the designated point where Bruno the Hariyama and a Loudred who was unusually silent stood. On the way, the bear heard his teammate said something about learning to fly. He wished he could but knew better to hope dearly for it. It's always good to count your own blessings and be grateful. His mom also nagged. That thought was brushed aside when Bruno asked what team they were.

"Heliantheae...Team Heliantheae," Teddius said. The Hariyama just replied with a quick nod of the head and muttered something about the both of them closely following him. "I'm going to escort you to the guild so stay close to me at all times."

"Hmm... Piercer tribe huh. Don't get overconfident." He told the cocky Scyther. Leigh didn't know anything about a "Piercer tribe" Or how well it was known by others. But he wasn't about to take this guy lightly. His personality changed into a more serious one. He may actually have some really good battling skills.

"You really want me to go first do you?" He told the Scyther. Rather then attack, He set up a Reflect barrier just as he did in his previous battle.. "Thanks."

Felicia smiled watching Leigh. "I hope you win Leigh...even though I'll probably be sleeping I'll be rooting for you" she sent to Leigh as her eyes started to droop tiredly and she curled up into a ball resting her chin on her tails as her eyes closed.

Soon enough the two laid-back members of Team Heliantheae had made it to the rendezvous point with no trouble what-so-ever. It wasn't really that far of a trip, and with Teddius running and Maria simply letting the wind carry her, they had gotten there in record time. After all, they couldn't afford to waste precious seconds, otherwise they'd have to wait for the five o'clock pick-up, and Maria would have probably died of boredom by then, which was clearly not a good thing. Anyway, they had arrived to the presence of a Hariyama and a Loudred. The Hoppip assumed that one of them was Bruno, although she had no idea who was him. Still, the Loudred seemed oddly quiet for such a Pokemon. Maria had met two before – brothers in face – and all they ever did all day was talk, and talk, and talk. It never ended. They were nice company though, and this other Loudred seemed completely bizarre not making such a fuss and noise about everything that happened. Maria seemed to be more talkative than the deep purple Pokemon. Still, that wasn't exactly a surprise to anyone really. Maria heard the Hariyama ask which team the two were in, or at least something along those lines, so the Grass/Flying type opened her mouth to speak.

"We're Team H-"

"Heliantheae," said Teddius, almost jumping in front of Maria. "Team Heliantheae..." he said.

Maria sighed, but tried her best to ignore it. She was team leader now. Introducing the group was her job! Never the less, she didn't make any comments or anything, and simply sighed as lightly as the wind which allowed her to travel, and then pivoted on the spot to see the immediate area. Nothing of interest, at least nothing that Maria had noticed. In other words, there was bound to be something creeping up on them...

"hmm raised your defense. alright... time to split up." Zeke glowed blue.

Twelve orange scythers sprung out beside him.

"also i'd like to make a substition. he he he." Zeke roared.

The other scythers merged into each other. They turned blue and Specter was formed.

"ok, enough talk from me we're taking you down from here on!" Zeke and specter used Quick Attack to get close to Leigh then they both tore at him with Air Slash.

"Herk!" He said resisting the blow as best as he could. He was glad he set up reflect but he still felt a bit of a sting. "2 vs 1 eh? I'm not complaining. One of us are bound to be in that situation" He said to him. Leigh strengthened his Reflective shield. This Scyther was one hard hitter and having two of them was trouble for him. Afterwards, He began to spin on the ground and began using rollout. Aiming for Specter, He began to give chase, Spinning after him.
