OOC: Due to the dropping of Arch and Diamond, Bruno will automatically be moved back to the Guild, unless you want him to run into your group or something. I will await your response before making a final decision. I will also soon post some information about the guild's npcs and stuff, like Bruno and Hirotaro.

Hirotaro sat in meditation. He was trying to decipher what little clues the rescue teams that had already explored the region had brought back. All clues presented, seemed to point North. In the mountainous areas. The pokemon who were new here didn't always venture beyond the mountains. Hirotaro knew that there were two more centers out there, but he also knew one of them was local.
If the mountains held a vital clue as to the origin of this, then perhaps the corruption could be tracked to the source. He, along with other guildmasters of the world was beginning to receive dreams, dreams involving a pokemon he couldn't make out. Perhaps it was a different pokemon each dream, but it was definitely corrupt, and unless......well he never finished teh dream. Nor could he interpret dreams. He could only hope the exploration teams could figure out the mystery better than his old brain could.
Osha walked up to him, and gave a slight bow. "Sorry to disturb you, guildmaster, but I figured you would want to hear this."
"No, it's okay, young one." Hirotaro said, getting up. "What is it?"
"Well about an hour ago, two horribly beaten pokemon were taken in. The one who was still conscious, claimed they escaped an attack from corrupt pokemon."
Hirotaro sighed. He was grateful for the number of rescue teams that were involved here, but at the same time, it was almost astonishing how many kept coming in beaten to a pulp.
"Thank you Osha."
"Guildmaster, may I ask you something?"
"Go ahead."
Osha took a breath, and began. "Guildmaster, I have been a student here for two years, and I have always trusted you and Bruno's wisdom, and teaching. But since all this word on corruption and everything started, I have grown fearful."
"Fearful?"
"The way I see it, is if the exploration teams continue returning defeated, what's to say they won't bring corruption to the guild with whatever aura they may have been exposed to?"
"Osha, I feel your worry, and I know that sometimes doing so is a risk. However, it is our duty, not just as explorers, but pokemon to do what we can to help them through the hardships they already faced. And to help them face the future hardships they will face in their journey."
"If you say, so, guildmaster."
"Who were the pokemon that came, and where did they come from?"
Osha shrugged. "We don't know their names at the moment. They came from Lakeside. A buizel was carrying a shinx. Both were pretty beat, though the Shinx was the unconscious one. The buizel was lucky enough to have managed to stay conscious as long as he did."
"Thank you, Osha. I will see to them soon. Has Bruno returned yet from Lakeside?"
"Not to my knowledge, guildmaster."
"Thank you again, Osha. Off you go."

Layne was lost in thought. His body was still battered, and anyone who saw, knew it. Layne wasn't dreaming anymore, he wasn't exactly unconscious either. He was aware of his surroundings, but his energy was no where near restored. All he could do was let it restore naturally.
He heard voices, and even felt a pat on his head at one point. He heard Chunk's voice say "Good going, Layne."
Layne heard it, crystal clear, but was not energized enough to acknowledge, or even open his eyes. All he managed to say in fact was... ".....mhmmm....."
He didn't even know why Chunk bothered saying good going. Did he need to compliment Layne on an action he did? Did he want to let Layne know he was grateful for something? Did he want Layne to know that he had done well? Or was it the opposite? Had Layne failed to do something and Chunk was just being sarcastic?
Or perhaps Layne had been dreaming all this time. Maybe Chunk was the one who was conscious, and Layne was maybe near the end of the line, and Chunk was just doing his best to comfort Layne and give him willpower to fight. He didn't feel that way, he just felt tired. So he didn't worry about it long at all....he just needed more energy.
