Well Serebii says that in Platinum, the characters have to determine the cause of the recent climate change. So it's not natural, something's causing it.
 
What I'm hoping is that in keeping with this climate change, Nintendo refers to its effect on the enviornment. Specifically plants. Because that could MAYBE, MAYBE be a way for them to slip Shaymin into the story, allowing you to at some point catch it. I doubt it will happen but don't tell me that I can't hope it will.
 
you mean, we may find the cause of the distaster, but shaymin's new form saves sinnoh from it?

Forgot about plant life. Maybe the plants wither, but shaymin makes the flowers bloom again after the crisis?
 
I have 2 ideas.
1. Weren't there rumors of a ice form shaymin, maybe the ice form shaymin might have somthing to do with the weather.
2. On serebii it says the torn world is above spear piller, well so is arceus and arceus is the god pokemon and might be apart of the weather problem.
 
uh..

1. shaymin only has a sky form.
2. arceus is WAY above the pillar. Farther than the Torn World. They just made a mini staircase, but if it's "in the heavens" then its way far above the pillar

so, if arceus WAS involved, why has no info on it been released by nintendo?
 
1) Shaymin has only has a confirmed Sky Forme. It is possible that another forme could appear, but that would be very unlikely
2)I don't think Arcues has much, or anything at all. It seems that Torn World is just where the worlds are colliding and causing chaos. I don't think they would have Arceus in the story plot.
 
WOW. Very nice Interpretations. The game is starting to get more intresting. OK, i am certain that Jhoto region will not be back. Forget about that. And i am thinking Jasmine will replace Volkner(he was stupid anyway). BUT I DO NOT WANT VOLKNER TO REPLACE CYNTHIA. Furthermore, they need to work on these features:

> The Poketec(Poke watch thing) needs a back button. If you skip a function you have to go all the way around to get to it again X.X

> There needs to be a voice commanding system. Where you say the attacks and pokemon use them. It would make it so much better! Also putting the "mic" into another use.

I really hope the story is more intresting. I am going to kill them if it isn't =/

I think the weather crisis will be cool. I have no clue what it is all about. Surely Gartina has nothing to do with the weather. Also we don't want Snowpoint Town going into internal FREEZE O.o. I alwasy liked the weather change in D/P (Thunder,rain,Snow). So i am thinking IF THE WEATHER PLAYS SUCH A HUGE ROLE in this game there has to be something behind it......


Overall i like everone's opinions. Also someone wrote an intresting Space and Time rifitng interp. I hope thats what happens. Is Cyrus trying to bring someone back... by reversing the world. Will the cause of this weather be a RIFT in the dimension........?

Well the Pokétch has a back button this time I guess. It got overworked and as I saw it has 2 buttons on the right side and one on the left side.

With the voice thing...I hardly doubt Nintendo would do that^^
And for the story...I think the story is much better than D/P since it's not just D/P with a Battle Tower and a new leader and some new events. Platinum is the first big overwork. So you can expect a nicer and (maybe) longer story.
 
Οnly an overwork?! Im taking this as a seperate game completely and not even goin to put it in the same family as D/P. Anyone else? Also you think nintendo would have put another color besides orange as platnums color code? Im not saying its bad. I mean it goes by clothes. Blue pink and orange. SO meh what do you guys think?

It's really fun to speculate, but when you're coming up with these things and preaching them like "OMG I KNOW THAT NINTENDOS GOING TO FIX A PROBLEM THAT DOESN'T EVEN EXIST BY MAKING FLY OBSOLETE AND GIVING US WARP POINTS!!!" it gets a little ridiculous.

Yes yes it would. Also I mentioned this in serebii but it was deemed retarded and I dont know mabye people would go for it here. The poketech if closley looked at has a number pad. Im thinking those who have wifi the chat headset and platinum could use the poketech as a phone and you can voice chat during your adventures on what your doing. I know its crazy but hey you got to think big, right? Also im still stuck on the blue and pink lights. What are they doing there?!

Why would Nintendo offer FREE WIRELESS TELEPHONE SERVICE like that integrated into a game??

Honestly, voice chat in a battle is concievable because you're amping up the interaction with the person, but holy God, they would NOT turn our DS's into Cell Phones that you could use any time that you wanted to, just so long as you're playing the game..
 
Dude, chill out. We're just thinking of things that would be cool to see, not things that we think will definately come true. We have limited info on Platinum at the moment, so we have to find something to discuss.

Do that and your gaming life would be scared. And the ds thing could happen cause you know that ninetndo is thinking about putting red wifi symbols on games that would mark them as games with downloads or an optional fee service. So yeah it could happen.
 
I say aroud april if they go by patterns. But really now what I want is a worldwide release.
 
Who came up with the idea of Telephones as those green thingys?
Cuz on another Forum, i almost posted the same, but then like is G/S/C but you'll need to go there to call someone like Prof.Oak. And maybe too, sumthing like Match Call in Emerald. I thought as telephones cuz in the Anime, you have the same things :D.
 
I did! And its a different thing then yours.
 
I hated the phones in G/S/C and Emerald. Some idiot would always call you as you're trying to do something important just to tell you that they just got pwned by a Tentacool.
