Poem of the Week 5

The contest is now officially closed!
Sorry for the slight delay. I forgot momentarily.

I and the judges will look through the entries and choose a winner.
Good luck to you all!

After a long delay (I'm part of the blame), the winner has at last been decided!
You all did quite well for this theme, but only one can be chosen.

The winner for the Romance Poem of the Week contest is The Letter. Written by Missingno.7-4468.

Spoiler:

Congratulations to you.
Your emblem shall be given soon.

Again, good writing everyone.
The next theme will decided later. I hope to see you all there.

Agh, currently kicking myself because I didn't join in time to participate in this T.T How often are these? The title is poem of the week but it seems like they take longer than a week '.'? Or was that just an unplanned for delay?

Well this section isn't as popular as many other sections on the forums like Rom Hacking, so the competition needs to go longer so they have enough Poems to be able to run a competition. If they only counted the week we might have 2-3 poems.

It's every week.
Unfortunately, we have had recent delays. Probably due to school and work and whatnot.
Yes, I have to admit, I am somewhat to blame as well for procrastinating sometimes.

Don't worry, you can enter the next contest.
I should have a new theme announced soon.

----------------------------------------

Alright!
Missingno.7-4468 has given me his choice for the Poem of the Week theme.
This week's contest's theme will be Life. You know, everyday life and it's great value.
You decide what you should describe about it.
Missingno.7-4468, as our previous winner, has also decided to be judge as well.

Good luck to everyone!

Congratulations Missingno.7-4468, you did a truly remarkable work out there!
The way you wrote the poem in the form of a letter, but not compromising on any aspect of poetry is what I find astounding. Keep it up!
The rest of the entries were also quite well written. Don't worry you all, do enter in this week as well.

So, I can join for the theme now, right? Well, if so then my entry should be up tomorrow. :D

YAY! I hope my entry is accepted x3
It's kind of a story in poem form. It's rather sad, and instead of focusing on all of the good things in life, it focuses on how you don't really and truly appreciate life until death.

Here's my entry.

I can't stay away from this kind of rhyming scheme. But I'm pretty pleased with the result here. (:

My entry:

Spoiler:

I'm new in this section here's my Poem:
God's gift
God gave us life
He gave us the ability to love and to seek
This beautiful gift is too precious to waste
One must enjoy one's life with the same grace as it was created from
Though one mustn't forget the one who gave him life
With this gift I can build sky scrappers, go to the stars, and move about
This world full of god's gifts
The bright light that makes us move
The ether that gives us the will to continue
In this hell of a world

Well, Here's my entry!

Into Life

Yes, yes, yes, yes and yes!
All five of you qualify!

Wow, and all in one day too!

Good luck to you. You really brightened my day!

Mine is a little short, but I hope that's okay? D: Either way, it's about the fate of farm animals when there's a drought and the fact that if the crops don't grow, then... their fate cannot be controlled. And it's got something to do with waking up with roosters, idk, hopefully it's accepted? :D

Spoiler:

Oh boy. Last year I got "The Storywriter" award. -clasps hands together-
Now let's think...

Spoiler:

Yay. :D

After lurking this forum for months, I made a promise to myself to join in this shindig if my brain saw a prompt and went "click" because it looked fun. And good grief, did it click this time. Sorry about that.
