Just got in after AN HOUR of 404 Not Found errors on PokéCommunity Forums and been encountering 404 errors all day!!! ANYBODY know what is going on???

I haven't experienced this problem today, but the server has been having issues for the last hour or so. Things appear to be fine now, however if you are still having issues try clearing your cookies to see if that helps.

A 404 error isn't related to downtime at all, it just means there's no such file on the server. ;)

Justin, where are you seeing the 404 errors? Like Jelli, I haven't come across these at all. It would really help if you let us know where you're seeing them so that we could investigate further.

you should not be getting 404 errors.. unless you are following a bad link from somewhere.. at best you should get a forum message saying that the thread / post is invalid.

Can you provide page URL examples where you were getting 404 errors please.

home page... from my bookmarks... been happening off and on all day

Could you post the link here? It would be really helpful.

I am using Firefox as stated above

it has only happened today and now seemed to have stopped... are you sure that it isn't downtime like donavannj says???

As Zach clarified earlier, the 404 error has nothing to do with the downtimes, but rather the lack of that file on the server. The error that occurs(usually) with downtimes is 524.
