Hey everyone, I'm having trouble saving my game. I patched my game into a clean firered and works, but when I go to save the game, it says "error creating save file for...." I downloaded this on a mac computer. Does anyone know how to fix this problem?

They're gone. Eevee now evolves into Umbreon/Espeon via night/day happiness.

I am sorry to spam this question again. But my bulbasaur wont evolve it is now at lvl 24? Again sorry for the nooby spam but does it evolve at a certain part of the story or am i doing something wrong here (just finished the lavander town quest)? Can anybody help me please?

Bulbasaur evolves into Ivysaur at level 27. Ivysaur evolves into Venusaur at level 40.

Just done the Game Corner story, and now I'm about to do what I assume is the Eevee story. I love how faithful this is to the manga, and I'm really enjoying myself.

Since the Fairy Stone isn't in the department store, can I assume that Eevee only evolves into Sylveon through the bonus chapter? I was a bit confused as to whether the Sylveon story was still the only way to evolve Eevee.

On Pumelo Island when i try to evolve Mewtwo into Mega Mewtwo Y it says "It won't have any effect". With Mewtwo X is everything allright.

even if you start now you WILL be able to continue just use save states like me.I use shift +
f1 to 4 and its very easy actually i wonder why people complain for lost saves.Instead of saving through the game just use buton combination.That make all game very easy all time win critical strikes and make even pokeball a masterball

I've stated that beta 10 uses a new rom base, but if you don't mind glitches, then go ahead. Just don't complain.

Hi guys! I have been following this thread ever since i found out about it and i have to thank you Aethestode for this masterpiece, to me this is the best Pokemon hack ever really fun and addictive! The first beta i played was beta 9.1 and now playing the beta 10 wich i eagerly waited i have some questions:

1 - Where can i find a Solar Ribbon? In beta 9.1 they were sold in the Celadon market but in this one they're not so i couldn't find any
2 - Alson in Celadon there's that side quest *SPOILERS* about that cannibal old man in wich he asks you to go to his woman grave in the Lavender graveyard but there is no graveryard anymore so i can't finish it, any ideas on what to do?
3 - Continuing in Celadon lol, in the game corner prize tend the third guy sells for game coins TMs like flamethrower and ice beam but when i talk to him he says that i need a coin case in wich i already have since i got a mystic water from the first guy in the tend, so there is another way of getting flamethrower other than cheat?
4 - Can a pokemon learn by any way a move that he would only learn by breeding?

Two more glitches i got. Both in celadon.

1)In the game corner prize house if you select to buy YELLOW FLUTE. its actually a mega stone. And the third lady dont sell you anything despite having coin case
2) in celadon dept if you talk to the cubone in front desk weird dialogue happens and you get warped where you first met misty.

Don't sit on games in Celadon City (3rd floor i suppose it is), it will begin a conversation between Red and Misty in her house before she goes sleep. After that You will land in her house in Cerulean City.

Other thing is that when You come from Cinnabar to Pallet Forest it will be Mew again. A little advice. Save game before You get to him because it will freeze the game.

Orange Islands route 13. There is a house with two girls. Don't talk with the girl on the left, because You must fight with Your last oponent again no matter which, the last one. After beating him/her game freezes.

In Celadon City, it isn't possible to complete the side quest because the the map has changed and there isn't any grave in top-right.

Also, I didn't find the pokemon that was supposed to be in a flower of Pallet Town.

And there some other glitches, but there are not real problems because you can fix them easyly.

I found the Mega Stone for Slowbro and Steelix. Is there any Slobro and Onix/Steelix with good stats to use them, or I should use them in ordinary Slobro and Steelix?

I finally got the time to play Beta 10 and it's SO GOOD. Really amazing work Aethestode!

The bugs that I found were all pretty minor; the only notable one was not being able to access the Lavender Graveyard, but since I already got my Master Ball from Steve I don't care that much about completing that bonus chapter, so like I said, a pretty minor thing. Again: amazing work!

Now, I do have a question though: how does Eevee evolution work now? I did not find Lunar/Solar Ribbons, neither where they were in Beta 9 nor in the Celadon Department Store. How do I evolve Eevee into Espeon? And also, does Eevee still de-evolve with the Moon Stone? Because that didn't work either :/

Eevee evolution devolve by using Sun Stone (don't know why I made it Sun stone. It's been reverted back to moon stone for BEta 10b).

Eevee - Leaf Stone - Leafeon

Just wanted to thank you for this amazing hack. I am quite invested into it and it is by far one of my favourite hacks ever.

Just one small problem. I am currently in Mandarin island, in the Orange Archipelago and I am quite stuck. I think there is a glitch. When you have to battle the three princes to progress in the 'Prince/Princess-whatever-the-story-is-called' story to access the 3rd gym, you can't seem to battle Bill as it acts like you have already beaten him, despite never battling him. I've beaten both Brock, and my rival Blue, talked to everyone on the Island and I am stuck here - unsure about what to do? Am I missing something?

Hmm... To help me out. Can you tell me what Bill says? In addition, when you've patched Beta 10 onto a CLEAN FireRed Rom. Did you start a new savefile?

Created an account on this forum just to say that this is an excellent piece of work and love the hack. I read pokemon adventures as a kid and this takes me way back. I rushed through beta 9 (stopped at navel gym) downloaded off somewhere else and now i'm slowly playing beta 10 experiencing all the changes. I dunno if it was just me but some sad changes were:

Fushsia city:
safari zone using own pokemon
super rod kept fishing up horsea,seadra, gyarados. I got krabby using good rod
Cinnabar volcano:
No more drought vulpix. Would've worked so well with chlorophyll bulbasaur.

Does eevee evolve via max happiness day/night or item?

1) Yeah, I can't do anything about Safari Zone :/
2) Vulpix with Drought is added back for Beta 10b.

Also, I tried a few things on Eevee in an attempt to make it evolve to Espeon and I found out this, I'll just put it out here in case anyone's curious:
-Eevee evolves into Leafeon with Leaf Stone and into Glaceon with Ice Stone. It can't evolve into Sylveon, but I guess it's because you can catch it in the Bonus Sylveon Chapter.
-Link Stone and Moon Stone do nothing to Eevee.
-After evolving Eevee into Vaporeon, Jolteon or Flareon, it is possible to de-evolve him back to Eevee with a Sun Stone. It's not possible to de-evolve from Leafon or Glaceon (I haven't tried Umbreon/Espeon yet).
-And perhaps the most curious: you can evolve Eevee multiple times in a row. Like, you evolve it into Vaporeon with a Water Stone, then use a Thunderstone on Vaporeon and it evolves into Jolteon, then use a Leaf Stone on Jolteon and it evolves into Leafeon, and so on. However, Glaceon does not share this feature: if you evolve Eevee or one of the evolutions into Glaceon, it won't evolve into any of the others (no stone appears to work on Glaceon).



I think a lot of pokemon locations were changed from the last beta (Jigglypuff is found wild when in the last beta you could find only one, Shuppet doesn't appear in the golden tumbstones in Lavender Tower, Kangaskid was added, etc), but some others remain the same. I guess the locations list could use some updating (I might try to compile a list once I clear the game :) )

PS: Does anyone know at which level does Kangaskid evolve?

Yes ! I thought so too, about your second point. They arent that funny. Also all the herp derp dialogues with people sending emails and stuff , i mean 1-2 are ok but they are all over the place. Nobody cares about stupid people sending you stupid questions but its your game i get it.

So why complain that I'm letting out some steam if it's my game?

Thanks for the update! Just about to get Eevee (I think) but I might wait until 10B is released before continuing after that. I'm gonna put Eevee on my team and cycle between Sylveon, Espeon, Umbreon and Glaceon, I reckon. Or maybe just Sylveon and Glaceon since it seems easier.

Hi, just wanna say thank you so much for making this hack! It's probably the best one I've seen in a while! It's incredibly imaginative, especially considering it's based off existing source material. You've added loads in and I love playing it! One of my favourite things is the redesigned areas, because it makes this feel like a completely different game as opposed to FireRed with a story. Thank you very much for this, Aethestode!

I have one question, but don't worry, anyone can answer - are post-Gen 3 Pokémon only available after a certain point? I just got Togepi and I really want a fairy-type like Togekiss in my team, but I don't know whether it's worth training up Togepi just yet. I searched the topic and I know that all Gen 4 Pokémon are in, and I assume that post-Gen 3 Fairy type moves are in, but I don't wanna invest in Togepi right away. Apologies if this has already been covered, I couldn't find it when I searched!

Post gen 3 pokemon are found only in Orange Archipelago.

Glitch - dome fossil is recognised repeatedly even after the revival of kabuto ( dome fossil is seemed to be absent from the bag ).. i got like 4 kabuto already lol

I dont know if any1 else tried but i went to catch a Onix for the first time in my life to transform it in steelyx and then use the SteelixiteY that i found just to see how does mega steelyx looks. it's very nicely designed. BUT unfortunately when u enter a fight with Mega Steelix the game freezes. so there you got another glitch =/

i'v found a bad glitch i'm in silph co and got to the scene where red and lt surge meet then went to blue and koga but red's sprite was there and lets you walk around theres a pokeball in the middle clicked it nothing happens so i clicked koga but nothing hapens so i walked around and found misty knocked out clicked her nothing happens so i clicked blue but the game freezes i restarted and it's still doing it is there a way to get around it or do i have to wait for the fixed version

Im stuck at the part on the orange islands where have to save blue. Battled all the grunts etc but when i tried to go south after done with the cave it still tells me i need to save blue? How to proceed?

Location: Viridian Forest
Time of Day: Night
Issue: After receiving the 'Old Rod' I went back to Viridian Forest to capture something strong in the waters. However, the Pokemon that appeared was a Level 1 Question mark and the battle text read "A wild ?????????? appeared". Subsequent fishing attempts all led to the same results. Upon completing the 2nd Gym I went back and the same issue was present.

I was not able to capture the wild question mark due to it killing itself with struggle and seemingly having an extremely low catch rate.

if ye will not say what am but zap zapdos bonus chapter in the fight against zapdos one Arbok appears instead of peliar against zapdos and the lake monster chapter if you answer no to swampert featured a Dragonair and therefore does not not happened before is a glitch or if you changed it so

Hmm can anyone help?
I managed to mega-evolve my venusaur before the zapdos,articuno,moltres event, now I can't seem to progress any further because green is asking for me to evolve my ivysaur to venusaur. May I know what are you suppose to do during that event? or is it a bug? I found my venusaurlite in silph co using item finder.

Just give it a moon stone to devolve it back into a Venusaur.

i just found a really funny mistake in the game i got spotted by a nerd and i part where it say want's to battle but instead of nerd it says beauty shulk want's to battle you don't need to fix it it doesn't wreak the game or anything and when i defeat pokemon there sprites just stay there but when the next pokemon comes out there sprites go over each other and the sprite before goes all weird again this one doesn't wreak the game just thought i would report it

Okay beta 10 is awesome I found a gitch in route 13 the house with the two slowpoke I
Go inside I talk to one of the people it say one the pokemon want to fight it show a question level 0. Also one of the lady won't Teleport to other places I know the island is TROVITA ISLAND or Tarroco Island i just start with a t. I also noticed the other gitch that the community has mentioned. I figured I would tell about other two I noticed. I do have questions I saw when go on the blimp I talked to the captain it show other region can we go to the other region too?

Yeah, but the stupid glitch corrupted the script and the map file. I'm trying to restore it (The same glitch that corrupted the Graveyard map).

i'v found another glitch when you get captured by luana inside her hotel you get taken to the cells but can't do anything but walk around but when i talk to one of the girls the game freezes i restart multiple times but still does it i don't know if it happens to everyone but we might have to wait for the fixed version and if anyone is wondering how i got past the glitch where it tells you to save blue when you have i used walkthrough walls

ooookey so i am doing that event thing in the Mandarin Island i found the egg and i fought Brock, Blue and Bill and won. i can't seem to find Ash. and if i dont have to fight him, i have no idea where to go because the Major just tells me to prepare myself for the brawl. :/

Try going north of Mandarin Island.

The house in saffron(i think it was top left) with the boy who "plays with himself" is glitched. My game randomly restarts when im in there. Also his wife is glitched she is invisible and sometimes near the stair my sprite turns invisible too.

There are no lunar/solar ribbons in this game. Eevee evolves into Espeon via happiness during the day and into Umbreon via happiness in the night.

Hey, does anyone's game keep freezing when you're about to face Cissy and save Blue in Murcott Island? I don't know if maybe I skipped something or if it's a glitch, but I can't seem to move forward because of this! :/

EDIT: Nevermind, I was able to move forward! I had to go back and complete the Secret Affair Bonus Chapter, which I had skipped, and then I went back and was able to confront Cissy.

Hmm... If you can see me a screenshot of the freezing. Cuz it really shouldn't have froze... Oh well...

Got two more bugs and one is major

1 - When you beat the game the screen will turn black and the game will freeze so you're stuck and can't continue the game

2 - MewtwoY the item to mega evolve mewtwo does not work differently from MewtwoX wich worked

Also for the people asking for the mega stones you can buy them in the orange archipelago league

Okay, I have just uploaded Beta 10b. It fixes most glitches that people found in Beta 10A. Anyway, there's still probably more glitches, so keep those glitch report coming. Patch into a clean FIRERED rom, (you can continue from old savefile). However, if you're in a glitched scenario then I can't help you (you shouldn't have saved if you're in a glitched scenario.
