I loved the manga series and this looks like an amazing hack! But does anyone know how I would be able to get this on ios? I have gba4ios and ios 6.

This is just a post to explain how the Indigo league works in the manga, as I receive a lot of email (mostly from NEW PEOPLE!!) saying how I'm a retard that I forgot to give Red the 8th badge even though he never receive the 8th badge from Giovanni, and that I even included a scene in the game to show Red noticing he didn't get the 8th badge, so yeah.


To explain how the indigo league works in the manga. In the manga, the indigo league is just a normal tournament that any trainers can participate. The rounds includes the Preliminary rounds which is split up into 4 Groups (Group A, Group B, Group C and Group D). In the manga, Red was shown to won the preliminary in Group C, while Blue won the preliminary in Group D, Green won Group A and Prof Oak/Dr O presumably won Group B as shown here:

After the preliminary, the winners of the respective group are matchup against each other in the semi-final round. Then the winners of that round battle each other in the finals. The champion is then declared to the winner of the Final. However, in the manga, since Dr O quit the tournament after defeating Green in the semi-final, he forfeited his place as the winner, which therefore turn Red and Blue semi-final round to turn into the official Final Round and also gave Green the title as the 2nd Runner-up of Kanto. So if Dr O had not quit the tournament, he would've battle either Red or Blue (depending who won in the semi-final) in the finals, and Green wouldn't have gotten the title as the 2nd Runner-up.

So what are the badges for? Well in the manga, the badges are items that enhances Pokemon's strength as mentioned by Blue:

The badges also contain mysterious powers that can create and merge Pokemon when they are all put together as shown in the creation of Zapmulcuno. At the GSC chapters, as more and more people decided to collect badges due to their powers, the director of the Indigo League made a new rule that anyone with the possession of 8 different badges (I'm not sure whether they have the be in the same region) can automatically skip the Preliminary Rounds, and go straight into the Semi-Final round.

Did you try following the screenshots? You can only interact with it at certain parts of the machine.

I did, the only thing it says at the end is "Hmm, there's a slot for an extremely large battery" and nothing else more. This happens with and without the battery you've got from the old man after defeating the rocket grunts in his house.

At Valencia island the nnurse tells me to call prof. Ivy.
So I did that ,then when I enter the pokemon center and go to the 2nd floor my screen turns black and my game freezes

Currently playing beta 8.3 and the door in kinkan island mountain still locked, what to do? i really lost, oh yeah, every time i open Mega Venusaur profile, it always freeze the game

Can venusaur learn some good move like leaf blade by lv up
My venusaur only can learn razor leaf (low power & acc) and solar beam
And can i keep the mewtwo catch in valencia island, or i must give it to some one

Have you already found Jessie and James? If you did, head with them to the police office. Afterwards the door will be opened by those two and you can enter the hideout. Avoid battling the Rocket Grunts, their Pokemon are on Lv. 100 so you can't win against them.
I have tried it a few minutes ago and won against one of them just by luck.

At the bottom of the very first post of this thread there is a link to download the beta. Its an IPS file so you will also need a fire red ROM and a patching program. There are many helpful resources all over this forum with tutorials on patching.

They were meant as trap, because Team Rocket wants to prevent you from reaching the bottom floor.

You have to go all the way back from the mountain, the scene will happen automatically.

It's what Porygon and ZapMolCuno is. Like, Porygon isn't really a normal type or an electric type,as it was artificially made, ZapMolCuno isn't a fire, electric or Ice type either... So everything except normal wouldn't do very well against it, as the regular typings wouldn't really fit them :D. So that was pretty clever \of Aethestode :D

Not to mention Swampert X... *shiver*

It took me like, 10 min to get past the magnemites, you just use quick save once you spot a resting place...

The Viridian Gym is acting weird, Giovanni never appears as he is giving his speech, and the pokeballs you are supposed to pick aren't there, instead it's acting like you are selecting some kind of food:

Once you go outside, he is right there and gives the speech as normal. So, for me, other than skipping a fight, nothing happened.

Afterwords when you are in the hospital, Yellow's sprite is missing too, so it seems like you are talking to a ghost...

So, it's not blacking out like the others have been saying -on my file anyway- but some wonky stuff is still going on.

Also, Yellows mom appears by the cerulean cave for some reason... Yelling about Officer Jenny XD

Hey, love this game so far but I really need some help here. I beat the indigo league, then got my OI ticket, beat the guy who ate steven, beat blaine and erika a second time, got the love letter to vermillion and lavender and now when I surf up to go to floral city I take one step onto shore and this happens (red says "I shouldn't be here" and it won't allow me to go farther) and it won't let me through. I just started the game on 8.2 and patched to 8.3. Can you help? Thank you for sharing this and working so hard on it! Hopefully the pic shows.

Update: Used the walk through walls cheat to finish the event. What it looks like is that there is a motionless greg sprite you can't interact with. At anytime that you go along side it, it pushes you back towards the water and you are stuck to go back to celadon with red saying ""I shouldn't be here" everytime you try to walk forward. That sprite stays the whole time even while Greg and you talk right above it.

That's because you used acheat to get pass! You didn't follow the game instruction, and due to that, you broke the game. Instead of trying to figure out how to pass certain events, you instead think it's a glitch and just used walkthruwall cheat. Each events have a flag that trigger the next event, you'll be experiencing a lot of glitch later on.
