Approved: "Pokémon Anime Streams" Planning Thread

It's probably a good thing tbh; by trying to fit the movies in our times went through the roof. Should probably be aiming for no more than three hours/seven episodes per stream. now the question is, do I take Master Quest-DP so Necrum can take a bit more Orange? Or do I fill in all the allotted time with AG/DP? Taking MQ gives me ep 210+ (inc. whirl cup/baby lugia) which is just under two streaming days, but taking out the movies elsewhere gives my slot back a little over a streaming day (if it's 3hrs).

I appreciate the concern, but I would prefer to be able to do what I want to stream for my time. I've had my heart set on this for a while. My times really aren't that lengthy. Doing orange archipelago is something we planned for months ago. I can cut the Kanto gyms and spread the episodes out more if that's what it takes.

Okay, hold on, hold on. Orange only has 36 episodes. If Necrum streams seven episodes per day (which is around 160min/2hrs40min), that gets Orange done in five days (if he does 8 one of the days). We have seven streaming days. Such short streams don't really warrant more than a 5-10min break halfway. Why are we running into problems? That leaves a day for Kanto battles and maybe a day with some Johto in? We can still cut a fair amount of Johto; there's def some random ♥♥♥♥ in there that doesn't really need to be even though I'd like it to be. (Gary ep, Morty's Gym, etc).

The list isn't finalized by no means, it's just a reference for us to work with. You can stream all of the Orange Islands if that's what you absolutely want to do, I was just giving my suggestions. Besides, with the movies cut out, that gives you an extra 13 episodes without adding extra time to the current list.

Here's a new proposal, feel free to change this however you want to:

wobbu you're estimating each ep at 20min but a better estimate is 22 and it really does make a diff- 9x20 is 180min/3hrs but 9x22 is 198 and that's 3hrs18 and some eps run 23 as well. you could shave it by cutting themes but a) people like that and b) it's hard to fiddle with it accurately and quickly

I'm fine with that spread. I have no idea what those episodes are though haha.

An extra 20 mins at the most isn't a big deal imo. Besides, it wouldn't be a hassle to remove an episode or two if we need to. Also I need you to do two things and post your responses in this thread:

1. Pick out ten or less eps from BF if you don't want to stream the Frontier Brain battle eps

2. Pick out five or less DP eps before DP130

1. 242mins for the Kanto Gyms is a long time. If you don't want to stream for that length of time, feel free to choose ten or less of your favorite eps from Season One.

2. If you don't like the Johto eps that you're planned to stream, you are encouraged to change them to your favorite Johto eps, as long as you choose ten or less eps per day.

And what are we doing with the emblems again? Are we using the same images and removing "GT 2013" in the description? I would like to change the images though because I found a pic of Clemont that really fits in with the event :P

How about we just submit new emblems entirely? That way GT13 stuff doesn't have to be shuffled but we can set up reusable emblems for here on out.

Yes let's do that. How about I do the participation emblem, Necrum does the "winner" emblem, and you do the WAC emblem? If we're clever enough, we could also use the emblems as a reward for people who attend the regular Pokémon Anime streams, as in the ones announced in the streaming thread.

Hmmm you're right. Maybe just making them "Attended 5+ PokéAni streams" & "Attended 15+ PokéAni Streams" with, you know, slightly better descriptions and the nice titles. And let's not be awarding retroactively either; that's a pain in the ass.

As for WAC... "Along for the Ride" or like, something to do with the Club Battles, idk

As soon as Necrum finalizes/confirms his episode list and we make the emblems, I'm going to recreate the entire episode list and get both of your approvals. I'm also going to create a rough draft of the actual event thread and post it here so you two can revise it and make as many changes as you want to. I'm going to make some changes to the CSS as well because it's looking a little too pale and eclectic.

Welcome to the Pokémon anime streaming GT event, presented by Anna, Necrum, and Wobbu! Between July 6th and July 12th, we will be streaming hours of Pokémon anime, all for your viewing pleasure. We invite you to join us, chat about the episodes, crack jokes, and enjoy some of the things that brought us joy to our childhood!

For every day of this week, each of us will be streaming a handful of carefully chosen episodes full of adventure ad entertainment. The streams will be hosted in the PCPokéAni room provided by Livestream, a free broadcasting service which requires no account to access.

Rules

Although things tend to run smoothly in the streaming room, we ask that you all keep these rules in mind when attending a stream:

1. Respect other viewers. This should go without saying. Everyone is here to have a good time, so please be respectful of everyone else, in the same manner you would want to be treated.

2. Be appropriate. Do not use offensive language and derogatory terms in the chat. Swearing is allowed due to Livestream's automatic censoring, but please do not bypass the filter. Friendly debates are allowed but we ask that you refrain from ad hominem and straw man attacks.

3. Stay on topic. The chat in the streaming room can often stray from the current episode. Occasional off-topic chatter is fine, but try to keep the main topic relative to the currently playing episode.

4. Follow PokéCommunity's and Pokémon Anime's rules. Don't do anything in the streaming room that you wouldn't do on PC. The character limit does not apply in the streaming room, however. PokéCommunity's Rules|Pokémon Anime's Rules

Streaming Times

There will be three streams at three different times every day. Anna will provide the earliest stream, starting at 11AM Eastern Standard Time every day. Necrum will be streaming later, starting at 6PM Eastern Standard Time every day. Last, Wobbu will be streaming at 1AM Eastern Standard Time every day.

Prizes

There is no such thing as a PC event without prizes. For this event, there are two new emblems up for grabs! To get the first emblem, you must attend at least five streams. To get the second emblem, you must attend at least ten streams. It's as simple as that!

These are looking really great, guys! Only thing I could say is to perhaps increase saturation and brightness of first one, so that it doesn't look too dim? Aside from that, you could also attempt sharpening it a little more, but that's not completely mandatory.
